It was true, you couldn't hear the screams as they fell to their demise on the rocks below. Outside of the city limits, Seidus had brought with him what he liked to call "his ladies" to enjoy the crisp night air and the breeze coming off the sea. He stood taking in the sight as he turned to eye three other victims all of which were looking up with pleading tired eyes. Normally he would have loved to hear them scream but for Iyemina's sake he gagged them and simply tossed them off the cliffs to watch them fall.

His cackles sailed on the wind as he watched each one smack their heads against the cliff's side before hitting the rocks below. Five bodies in total were sprawled out in grotesque poses on the rocks below before the high tide swept in to clean up the mess.

Not far off to the side was a tiny calico kitty nibbling on the arm of a victim. Said victim had already been tossed over the cliff. Further away was a figure who was illuminated by the moon, her hair floating about her like the smoke she represented. Seidus took time out to watch her letting a sinister smile come to his lips. He then knelt before the kitten, "Is that good Pur?" he questioned. Purgatory mewled then returned to her meal. "Stay here, mama and papa are going spend a little time together." Though it was a jest, Seidus just liked to play around regardless of his seeming madness.

"Iyemina." He spoke her name softly coming up from behind before slipping both his arms around her waist and resting his chin at the crook of her neck. "Do you like it out here?"

Iyemina had been staring off into space, for the most part. She had watched one body fly over the cliff from the corner of one eye, and that was enough. Though she truly cared for Seidus, Mina often wondered if she had made the right choice.

The arms that came around her waist, and the chin that sat gently on her shoulder, reminded her that she had (made the right choice). She knew that he was more than he appeared...and acted.

"I do like it out here," she said, smiling brightly like the moon. "It has been a long time since I have been to visit the sea. I mean, really visit it." Her eyes moved from the water to him. They sat there for a moment, ideas going through her head.

"So, what's next?" Iyemina finally asked, getting down to the point. Could Seidus have something up his sleeve? The smoky, determined one watched as Purgatory drug a finger around on the sand.

He chuckled lightly kissing her bare neck before standing fully. "I didn't bring you here to watch my exploits if that is what you were thinking." He said as he nibbled lightly at her ear. "In fact, what would you say to a dip among the stars. What if I could bring heaven to fall at your very feet?" It was a rhetorical question of course, he wanted nor needed no answer. Spinning her to face him, he let his wicked smile slip across his lips as a clawed fingernail grazed her soft lips. "Come." He beckoned, taking her hand.

In his haste, he scooped Purgatory in arms, allowing the kitten to keep the finger she greedily had snagged at the last minute. "You little devil." Seidus repremanded but in good cheer as he led the two down the cliff to the beach below. There he found the cliffs opening were it seperated the rocks from the alcove inside. He continued on leading the way in silence. The only sound was the ocean waves crashing on the shore behind them.

The moon's pale light lite their way as far as it could within the cave until they were engulf in total darkness. Stopping short he waited until Iyemina was within range before taking her hand and continuing further.

Down strange pathways, winding twists and turns he continued to lead his "ladies" on a mysterious exploration. Ever so often the moon shone through a whole in the caves ceiling. Obviously riddled with various holes through out. When last he stopped a thin light shone in the distance. The light seemed to dance off the walls as they got closer, revealing a pool and a vast star scatter sky which was reflected at their very feet from the skylight above. Seidus said nothing as he slipped from his top layer of robes spreading them out on the sand at his feet. He slipped from his turtle neck setting it on the sand and then placed Purgatory down there where she continued to nibble at her snack. He was topless now his pants the only testament of clothing left on his body.

Seidus on the other hand stepped toward the pool, kneeling to test the water's temperature. With the light playing selectively on the water below, one could see his exposed spine and tattered wing, along his back were strange lacerations, whelps, and scars that did not look to have healed in the best way, almost as if being beatin' with a whip or flogger. He turned unknown to those sights as he reached a hand out to Iyemina, "Do you want to swim among the stars? The water is warm."

He had seemed so romantic tonight, other than the deaths from earlier. Iyemina could not help but fall farther for him, but she still tried to keep her guard up. She knew him better than anyone else, but sometimes it seemed like she did not know him at all. For now, her mind was wandering.

Seidus held a hand to her, inviting her in for a dip. His eyes seemed to sparkle, but with what? She took his hand, anyway, and joined him. Iyemina had taken her shoes off just before, as she had her robe, but left her dress on. It would dry, after all, and look just the same. It had for decades.

The water was indeed warm. The only thing warmer was her body, suddenly embracing his. Her fingers wandered over the scar, down his spine...and then she pushed away. A thin smile appeared on her lips, and a cool breeze began to blow. "What do you have in mind, Seidus dear? Surely you have something planned." Her smile remained, eyes only moving slightly to see Purgatory snacking on something else.

Seidus arched a brow at the "dear" comment, the idea of it making him shiver with a tic of annoyance. The way she kept questioning his what was neck, it was almost as if she had a hidden question of his motives behind it. Tonight was beginning to grate on his nevers. Could she simply not enjoy a serene moment without wondering what they were to do next?

He smiled, wickedly. Moving forward like a snake on the hunt before holding.. no crushing her taunt against his bare chest. "Iyemina, must I have a particular motive for bringing you here other than my want to? Should I be dunking you under the water and watch you splay about while I laugh wickedly into the night? Or would you feel better being tossed off the cliff with the rest of those maggots?" He questioned her smoothly, his eye never leaving hers as his face seemed to get closer. "You needed worry; I still have use for you yet. There is much you have to teach me about these humans. For starters, why could you not watch my exploits earlier? Why do you cringe when death is a profound part of life?" Though he didn't expect an answer he watched her carefully, holding her closer to him yet, almost painfully so.

He wanted to inflict pain upon her; wanting to see pain on her face. All the emotions he was depraived of he wanted to see through her. Just the other day he had seen a child crying for its mother. The woman never came as he had already dispatched her. But when he had gone to investigate, perhaps give comfort to the child, he screamed. The scream was not the kind he liked so he had to stop it.

But thinking on that now, he wondered what tears would look like in her beautiful eyes. "I want to see it, Iyemina. I want you to cry. Cry for me... I want to see."

He jerked her so quickly to him, Iyemina had to gasp. As Seidus began speaking to her, his words became ice on her heart. She had no idea her questioning was bothering him so much. If she had, Mina surely wouldn't have asked. In her mind, this was her only way of making conversation. The truth was, she had little social skills. At least, the determined one felt that way about herself.

"I did not know I was offending you, Seidus. I was simply trying to start a conversation. I will know better next time." Iyemina hated that she was making herself appear helpless, but she didn't feel like pissing him off today. It seemed almost too late, though.

"I lived with humans for the first one hundred years of my life. I lived as one of them. Seeing one die of natural causes, diseases, etc is one thing, but to see one kill another is...another." She gulped, wondering what was going through his mind. "It was not until I began looking for Tristan in more depth, before I found he loved and married a human girl instead of staying with me, that I grew distant from them." Mina tried to keep her voice straight, but her heart beating and breathing told otherwise.

As she listened to his cruel wanting of her, finally her voice began to quiver. It was strange, because this was almost nothing she could control, nor could Ennui. Did Seidus have his own....intentions? Her eyes stayed steady on his. "I will not."

The gall of this chit, she would dare deny what he asked of her. "I don't recall our deal being that you would turn my demands down. Do you dare ignore what your master has demaned of you?" He questioned, his hands coming to clasp her arms tightly. Long finger nails dug into the soft flesh, drawing blood where they punctured. "I won't say it again, Iyemina. Give me what I want or I'll force it out of you." Though for some reason there was an undertone of softness despite the threat in his words. Seidus couldn't understand it himself but he didn't deny that he wanted to see those tears; he imagined them to be like jewels on her rather than the sniveling mass he saw on the child before.

Her eyes began to fill from the pain, not from his threats. She had made up her mind to stay strong, and being determined was her specialty. "I do not ever recall me being your slave, and you my 'maser,' Seidus." Iyemina's eyes were still filling with tears, as the blood began to run down her arms. She could heal, but if he killed her....there was the possibility no one could, or would, ever bring her back. The dark haired woman knew better, but she could not help herself.

"You should not hurt the only one who truly cares for you. I am here to help, not to be hurt. I do not expect you to be hurt, either. I l--" Mina came close. She tried to raised an arm, to pull a lid down so the tears wouldn't flow down her cheek.

"You're here because I want you to be and nothing more. Don't get confused on the matter, Iyemina. I do not care nor love you. That is something I cannot do, so you waste your time with pretty words." His grip tightened only marginally until he saw them, the clear liquid of her tears.

A smile unlikely of his character etched along his lips. Said lips were licked in a predatory state as he loosened his hold on her arms. He hated to have to use force on her but when he wanted something he could no more change his course then stop breathing. And being around Iyemina gave him tunnel vision when it came to his goals.

Each splash of her tears on his skin sent a shiver up his visible spine. So she could cry, just like the humans. What else could she do? He would hold off until another time; for now he eased her troubles by drawing his tongue along her cheek to taste the salty substance of her tears. "I don't care about you." he confirmed, maybe to remind himself of that or to force her to understand that he would not return her feelings. "I can never love you, I don't know love." But even as he spoke his actions were that of a devoted lover; as he wrapped her in his arms kissing the tears he inflicted. Why was it annoying that she was crying now? He had wanted to see but now.. it .. annoyed him. He held her to him resting his chin on her shoulders. When the child had been crying it was a peculiar thing but seeing Iyemina cry was far beyond that, some how he detested it. "Stop crying." It wasn't an order those his words were clipped there was an undertone of annoyance and perhaps concern.

Seidus's words and actions confused Mina. How could he say one thing, and mean the other? Was it that he was in denial, or did he really mean what he said? She felt like he was toying with her emotions, and felt that that was the whole point. Her sadness, pain, and anger began to build up. Iyemina tried to control it, but her tears kept coming. Now she wept silently, trying not set off the other sorrow again. Her shimmering eyes moved to where Purgatory had been sitting. She was still there, but had an almost frightened look on her face. Though, she could have also been watching the blood drip down her arms.

"You brought me out here, now let's make the most of it." Her glance up at him was distant, and her voice was cold. So cold, it send a chill up her own spine. "I do not care if you love me or not. You say you are going to kill me later, so be it."

He could feel her body tense up, she was still crying and he didn't seem to understand why it was so easy to make someone cry but hard to get them to stop. No amount of pretty words would help. He knew part of this was his fault so didn't get angry with her. His eyes wondered to Purgatory and a slight chill went through him, the kitten looked frightened... of him?

He then looked down on Iyemina, holding her at a distance as she spoke. What could he possibly do to salvage this night? He let her free noting the punctures on her arm. He didn't like it. Inflicting pain upon humans was one thing but on her...

At her final words his eyes narrowed. "I plan to yes." He confirmed surprised at how easily he could say that. The chilled words that came from her brought a wicked smile to his lips. So she was upset. He didn't know exactly which emotion but it was beautiful on her. He reached down to draw his tongue over the wounds on her arm. "Until then... stay with me." He neither asked nor demanded. It was spoken in as a mere statement, as if it were so. No discussion was to be breached on the matter. Weither she hated him currently or not, he didn't want her to leave, not after bringing her here. There was time to save the night, return her faith in him, and perhaps...

"Iyemina." He whispered her name kissing along her arms to her shoulder and up her neck. "Do you remember that night? You called my name, all night I could hear you. Stay with me tonight, here under all the stars and the moon."

It stung when the tongue of her love licked her wounds. Though, she smiled at the thought of him doing it to be affectionate. Then she felt his lips against her neck, and his words sank in. He was planning on still killing her, even though Iyemina knew the thought caused them both great...pain. Her smile quickly faded.

"I will stay, and I do remember that night." She had spoken so softly, the voice might have been mistaken for that of Relique's chimed one. Her eyes met his again for the thousandth or so time. They lingered there for a bit, then her heart skipped a beat. Something had come to mind. Something had changed.

The next second her lips were pressed hard against his. It was passionate, but it almost seemed as if she despised them being there. Iyemina grabbed the back of his head by his hair, and she his face intensely close to hers. She was breathing heavily, a low, heavy laugh ringing in the air surrounding them. Her voice was now harsh and low. "You may think you will always be able to control me. For a time, and even now, you might. I have an advantage that will save me, however, though you do not feel the same. How would you feel about killing the only person who gives a damn about you? Or can you not feel that, either?"

Iyemina's voice went back to normal, and she kissed him again before he could respond just yet. This time, it was much more desired, and much more pleasing. "I love you, whether you believe me or not. Even if you do not care, I still will. Know this, and accept it."

The savagry her kisses was both welcomed and returned, he didn't push her away. And even as she spoke he kept a rather sardonic smile on his lips. He was enthralled by her distain. He could tell that from anyone, it was something he learned long ago before his birth as Seidus... it was a time when he used to call himself only Ennui. Watching her the intensity in her eyes sparked a true feeling in him, something he thought dormant.

"You excite me, Iyemina." he confirmed in between kisses. Was it a happy excitement, lustful or simply a mixture of many different pleasures? He didn't know. But her profession of love stalled his excitement only for a moment... "Then know this, my dear..." He trailed off slipping away to circle around her like a vulture. "I won't be long for this world. The day that I kill you will not be by my hands..." He breathed in her ear once he was behind her, nipping at the lobe.

"I can never love you." Though the words sounded empty at best he said them anyway. "I refuse to care. If I do..." He trailed off instead reaching from behind her to draw her lips to his. He wanted to taste her again, a mixture of smoke and ash. A lovely combination. When he pulled away he spoke again, almost too low to hear. "I warn you, Iyemina. Be thankful for what you have, you may be asking for too much."

Iyemina did not question him. In fact, he had just confirmed maybe the one thing she truly feared-- losing him. She nodded her head in agreement, then rested it on his chest. Seidus was so much taller than her, but it was alright. She took comfort in it, and knew that if something were to happen, he would protect her.

Purgatory, who had been watching the whole time, now mewed a bit and returned to gnawing on whatever she had before. The determined sorrow smiled, before once again, kissing Seidus. Though it only lasted for a few seconds, it seemed like long moments. Mina stood on her toes, hands reaching up to hold his face lovingly. A sudden, single tear dripped down her face, and she quickly wiped it away.

"It sure is nice out here tonight," she said, changing the subject.

He watched the tear, watched as she brushed it aside. It reminded him of how much he treated her, like an unwanted tear. There was no hope for it, he had an inkling if he got too involved that nothing would become of it. Better to enjoy what they had now rather than worry about the future.

He didn't have a problem holding her to him, so much smaller. If there was one thing the creator was useful for it had to be his height. He liked being above everyone, looking down on them like the maggots they were. At the thought of their creator a dismissive snort escaped him. He sighed and let the thought deminish while he stood there. The water trickled around them warm and inviting, stars above and many at their feet reflected back. "It is." He replied simply taking time to enjoy the peace between them.

He was a simple creature and yet quite complex. Where most considered him insane, Seidus considered himself perfectly sane and deemed the world insanity incarnate. Even Iyemina had to be insane for assuming there would be anything more between them... even so he wouldn't correct her on it. She knew the consequences and seemed willing to bare them to the end. Unknown to him he hugged her tighter at the thought. Leaning close to her ear he whispered, "How about some dinner and a movie... my treat."
