Ukoo was in a very good mood today. Her uncle Pya had apologized to her... she hadn't had one of her seer dreams lately, she was feeling strong and healthy... something a bit off for her... but.... she was still happy. Today she felt like exploring... a bit father than she was supposed too... but she was getting bigger and stronger-so she was confidant in her abilities to survive the world. Mom and Dad weren't really that strict about that stuff... but her grandparents were... so she avoided them and went around where they slept.
Sneaky sneaky.
Now, she was not sure where she was... but she could see alot of dense tree's... a jungle? She hadn't seen a jungle before and hurried towards it-anxous to tell her brother Aboina, also a seer, about her adventure's in the jungle. She bounded in her youth, her olive fur glistening brilliant and clean in the sun... she had cleaned herself extra good since she felt so much better. She hummed to herself as she went-her tail wagging. Crimson eyes scanned the area, happy to be so far away from her home.
Mom would be proud of how far away she was traveling-mom was anxious for them to grow so she could go back to wandering with Ukoo's dad. She leapt atop a log she may have not been able to at a younger age and started to scratch it with her claws, her back arched. Grrrrrr. She murmered in her sweet voice.

An eery sound floated through the jungle tonight, someone singing something in a strange language. It twined among the trunks of the trees and threaded between the leafy plants in the underbrush, invariably finding its way to any ear that was open to the night-time jungle's chorus of noises.
It was an odd melody, lilting and eery, making on think of blood and death and dark things just out of sight. As time passed, the song grew stronger, and soon there was a flash of ghostly white and red between the trees, flitting here and there as though it were a fish swimming through the night. This vision was obviously the singer, since the song strengthened when she, and it did seem to be a she, appeared, and lessened when she was out of sight.
Finally, the song came to a climax and the figure appeared not far from the young cub, sillouetted against the darkness as she came fully into view. A lioness in red and white, a necklace of skulls and feathers hung around her throat. She seemed decorated in bones, bracelets of it around her forelegs and tail. They had a gastly sort of symmetry with her and she smiled as she let the song trail off into a croon, her eyes sliding to find the olive figure not far away.

Ukoo's pale ears twitched upon hearing a song that turned her blood cold. She blinked, her hind end in the air still but her claws ceased their movement. She felt a chill roll across her spine, though there was nothing to be afraid of no doubt. She blinked, rubbernecking to see if she could spot who was singing so oddly. She lowered her rump too the log. She sniffed the air and didn't smell much other than the lush jungle before her. She blinked in the moonlight, as the white and red lioness fell into view.
Ukoo wasn't sure what to think. She wasn't used to seeing someone so oddly colored, let alone wearing that stuff. She lifted her head, to see better. When the stranger met Ukoo's gaze, she smiled meekly-her tail twitching. She stood up slowly, perhaps she would meet someone cool and then tell her brother about it.
Urm.... helloUkoo said, flexing her muddy appearing paws.

The pale lioness let a sweet, radiant smile move onto her face as she took a step forward, her voice a low, soft croon of sound.
"Hello, darling!" She purred as she moved closer, the necklace of birdskulls rattling softly as it bounced against her chest. "What brings such a little thing as you so far into the middle of no where? Aren't your parents worried where you are?" The lioness chuckled, her tail gently swaying with her steps.
To all appearances, she was just a friendly lioness, her expression holding nothing but a motherly sort of curiosity over the cub. Who knew? Maybe she'd once had cubs of her own, soft little white and red balls of fluff that had mewed and cuddled against her, little ones that she'd cared for so tenderly. Perhaps that was what brought out the motherly feelings... or perhaps she just saw a new toy and didn't want to scare it away. It was hard to tell.

Ukoo cocked her head and licked her lips. She was talking really nice so she was prolly okay to talk too. She smiled and walked down the logs length... her growing body not really resembling a cub any longer but a growing girl. She smiled and her crimson eyes were bright. She loved meeting new people. Actually... My Mom and Dad aren't that worried about me and my siblings... they are really laid back... plus we are living at the pridelands right now... and it's real safe there. She said to the lovely white lioness. The bird skulls intrigued her and she hopped down off the log, standing with her confidant youth showing.
She tossed the tuft of fluff on her forehead to the side. SHe liked this lioness alot... though the bird skulls were funky... but she was nice and called her darling. She had never been called that before. She smiled. I'm not so little. I am almost the biggest of my siblings... I used to be really small but I got bigger.

A laugh escaped the lioness as she watched the younger one move closer, coming to a stop herself. Such a sweet, innocent little thing...
"I'm suprised they'd let you come so far alone... The pridelands might be safe, but you're not exactly in them right now, are you? And even in the safest place, if one isn't wary, bad things can happen." She smiled sweetly herself as she tucked her hindquarters and sat down on the jungle floor, her head tilting to the side. "Perhaps I was mistaken when I called you small... but you are smaller than me, after all. Maybe you'll grow to be bigger, but you're still small in comparision."
A soft, slightly unhinged laugh came from her and she reached with a paw to touch the top of the cubs head, a sort of carress or petting. "What is your name, darling?" She purred. "If you tell me yours, I will tell you mine."

Ukoo pranced closer to the female so she could get a good look at her skulls. She blinked at them, before smiling up at her. I really don't know how far I am away from the pridelands... I just tend to wander and then find my way home again.
But.. My name is Ukoo. I am sort of named after my grandfather Umo... but not really cause his name doesn't mean dirty like mine does. She said. She stood up straight so the lioness could see how tall she was. When she was a baby, she was very small and frail because she didn't sleep... her seeress nightmares kept her awake... but otherwise... she was growing finely now. I've never seen a lioness with such pretty reds before... they are like the colors of my eyes.

Shaitani grinned as she watched the cub, her expression never wavering from its smile and curious eyes.
"Named for your grandfather... that's nice... Red is pretty..." Her expression never changed, but her attention span was fast running out as it always did. "I like red... I like your eyes too. You have jewels for eyes!" She seized on that idea as it occured to her and reached to cup Ukoo's face in her fore paws, leaning in to look closer to her eyes.
"What a lucky cub... Don't you feel lucky?" A giggle slipped from her as her tail flicked gently back and forth. "Anyone would love to have your eyes..."

Ukoo grinned at her and batted her eyes. It was true... she had her grandfathers pretty eyes and her mothers. She thought they were rather brilliant colored when she gazed into the water hole. She nodded her head-red was a pretty color. Specially when the rest of their face was dark... like her own racoon eyes.
I never thought of them as jewels... well... you have jewel eyes too then. Ukoo said, pointing a paw. When the lioness's paws cupped her cheeks... she smiled nervously. She wasn't used to having someone so intent on her eyes before. Er... you didn't tell me your name.
I suppose I feel lucky... I just really like them. I hope when I have babies... they will have red eyes too.

For a moment, Shaitani's eyes went unfocused and her paws flexed, the very tips of claws pricking the little one's face. Her own eyes were red...?
Those eyes blinked slowly as she stood very still, holding the cub even if she tried to struggle. The mention of her name, though, pulled her out of her distraction and she focused on the cub again, releasing her from her hold and sitting back to collect herself. She seemed lost now, looking around the area with a dazed expression. Shaitani twitched a little, her fur rising along her hackles.
"Shaitani is this one's name. Child of the night, creature of the shadows... child of the Coven." Her voice was sing-song, rolling off her tongue as she looked everywhere but at Ukoo.

Ukoo didn't know what to do when she felt claws tickling her cheeks. She blinked up at the female with her red eyes startled. She flexed her own claws on the ground, feeling a sinking feeling like she felt when she was stuck on that limb with Pya advancing her. She sighed in relief when the paws fell from her cheeks. She was uncomfortable but the lioness didn't seem to really act as though she did it on purpose. But all of a sudden she wasn't looking at her anymore.
It's nice to meet you Shaitani. She said, staring at the female curiously. Sh was talking weird all of a sudden... and she wondered if it was a good time to go home...
Erm... I don't want to be rude but... uh.... I should be heading back home.

Shai's head snapped around as the cub spoke, wide-eyed and staring as she lowered her head on her neck, the action strange and snake-like.
"Oh, but you are home, little friend." She giggled, reaching out to run the pads of one paw down the cub's face. "After all, you're one of my little friends, and my friends never leave me. They live with me in the darkness and they are always home."
Yeah, she was rambling just a little, the sheer randomness of her mind warring with this extended time with another creature who wasn't commanding her. Being in power, a darker side wanted to show itself now, wanting its turn at the forefront. Suddenly, an idea occured to her and a bright smile broke out on Shaitani's face.
"Oh, my! How could I have forgotten? Stupid, stupid worm... You are a new friend, and new friends must meet the King, oh yes. Thats it then! You must must must meet the king. King Moses, the beautiful and terrible, king of the coven, of the children." She giggled, her face animated with glee at her idea.

Ukoo stood there, staring at the white and red lioness with a confused look. She was talking all sorts of weird already... she didn't talk like she was before. Ukoo quivered, her tiny paws easing backwards slowly, but a paw found her face again and she stared at her-red eyes almost watering in her nerve.
She blinked wildly and started to take her head away from the paw. Uh-uh.... I am not supposed to leave home-or visit strangers... I'm s-s-sure he's nice 'n all b-b-but... I have to go home She said pulling her olive form away from the white lioness... ready to run.
Things were getting wary.

Shaitani frowned as the cub squirmed away from her, her claws curving from her paw as she reached after her, pacing forward in a jerky motion.
"You don't want to meet the king? But... you must meet the king. I shall take you, yes! Yes, come Ukoo, little one, come with Shaitani to meet the king!" Her voice was ragged and sharp, surging suddenly with the insanity that was ever present in the red and white lioness.
With a swift motion, she swung her paw about and landed it square on Ukoo's back, all but crushing her down into the dirt. She didn't know or care how much force she used, she only wanted to make the cub stay, to not flee from her as... as so many others did. Her face twisted, warring between a sickly smile and a sneer as she pinned her down, reaching with open jaws to wrap needle fangs around the cub's neck, pinching the soft folds of skin there in the way her mother might once have to carry her.
She would just take her to Moses, that was what she would do. Her beloved Drakul... he would want to see this thing she had found, oh yes. It pleased him when the little worm brought him gifts... it made him smile with that beautiful face and those lovely fangs.

Ukoo couldn't believe her eyes. She saw that the female was strong and fast... faster than she... and she had no chance of getting away. This was it... was she going to ever see her parents again-her uncle Pya? Her brother Aboina? She shook her head at Shaitani-she didn't want to go... what if they found out she was a seer... like her brother... what if they didn't like it.
She tried to step back and begin to run, but the older females paw easily squashed her too the ground, where she lay helplessly, her paws scrabbling at the dirt. She didn't want to go... she didn't want to go away. She then felt senstation-one that her mother used often as a baby and was comforting to her squeals of fear-but now... it was horror. She felt her body give into the reaction of that touch, her legs went limp and she could not struggle... she could barely feel the tears of frustration and fear fall down her dark cheeks.
I-I-I don't want to go...
