Adelaide lay draped over a low-hanging tree branch, her eyes lazily half-closed, her paws twitching every once in a while, flexing, revealing her claws. Off in the distance, she could hear the voices of other Ulaya, playing or hunting or both. If she strained, she could almost make out the words.

It is absolutely time to move, she thought to herself, leaping lightly down from where she lay, before they get so close they're right on top of my den. I can find somewhere else less populated.

Her den was, in fact, at the base of the tree with the low-hanging limb, dug carefully underneath the roots. She squeezed in between two large roots and pawed through the earth, turning it up and confusing her pawprints. It wasn't as if she didn't want to meet anyone; she was just so used to not having a pack, not relying on anyone, that she took precautions so as not to be accosted by some of the... less savory characters in the Roguelands.

Squeezing back out of her den, she shook herself and looked up at the sky. That way, she hazarded, and set off to the east of her old den at a trot.

Dhiren found himself once again fallowing a interesting bug. It was some type of flying beetle he'd been trying to fallow for a while now, but he finally found one and it was heading towards another ulaya. Though, With his eyes fixed on the bug, he didn't even see the other that was a few feet away.

His dark green eyes matched his gem upon his head. He didn't know what they were for, nor did he really care. But they were there. His mother gave it to him a while ago. He flicked his long tail back and forth as he went trying to stay calm. It looked as if he was about to pounce on the thing, yet he'd never do that, unless he already knew everything about it.

User ImageT'alisira was wandering around, bored out of her mind. Walking around alone did not suit her at all! Her conflict-seeking side was simply itching for an argument that she could throw herself headfirst into. It wasn't that she enjoyed fighting, per say, it was more of an inate love for debating and arguing with other ulayas that drove her to being so loud-mouthed and aggressive at times.

Her dark coat stuck out like a sore thumb between the grass that she was making her way through. She had spotted a little cluster of trees not far away, and being the intelligent moto'undil she was, she as well aware of the fact that this meant that there was most likely some sort of water source near by. This would make an excellent resting spot for any ulaya. So she had trotted towards the cluster, in hopes of finding some company or other.

My luck, Adelaide thought, amused, as she watched the dark red Ulaya stalk his bug toward her. It hopped toward her again, and she sidestepped neatly, out of the way of the other's inevitable pounce. It was almost unbelievable that he hadn't noticed her by now, but she'd seen others that were almost as oblivious in the past.

The rustling in the brush that had driven her to want to move was getting closer, and as Adelaide cocked an ear, she could only make out one set of pawsteps now.

"If you're going to catch it," Adelaide said quietly to the red Ulaya, hoping not to spook the bug, "You're going to have to do it before someone steals it out from under your nose."

T'alisira stopped short at the sound of voices nearby. So she had been right! There had to be atleast two ulayas nearby.. or maybe just one crazy ulaya talking to itself. Peering out through the green grass, she spotted a green female and a red male with a bushy tail. She blinked a few times, trying to decipher what they were doing. She almost laughed out loud when she realized that the male had no clue that the female was watching him. He was too intent watching a stupid bug. He looked close to ridiculous.

For a few seconds she stood in the same spot, trying to decide whether she should jump in know, or wait and see how the situation would unfold. The decision was made for her when a branch under her left paw snapped, definately giving away her position. She cursed under her breath, and sauntered out of the grass; into plain vicinity. "What on earth are you guys doing?" she said loudly, blatanly aware that her voice might scare away the bug.

He just realized that there was someone else in his presents. That was strange, did she pop out of no where? He never really knew when he zoned out to everything else but the thing he was watching. He gave the female a side smile as he looked towards her. "Oh! Sorry! I was just studying it." He said with a smile. If he had glasses, he'd be adjusting them about now.

Then He saw another out of the corner of his eye, behind him. Yet, this one was strange. She had horns and a fluffy like tail. How Curious! He walked over to her at once and was inspecting her closely. Probably not the best thing to do when you first met someone, but sometimes he couldn't help it. He grinned stupid and took a few steps back. "Sorry! You've just got some interesting horn and tail!"

Adelaide ducked her head, hiding a smile behind her paw. "It was oddly colored, wasn't it?" she said, mostly to herself. She tracked the male with her eyes as he went over to the newcomer, and her smile grew wider. Yes, she had seen this type before.

"You're fairly fascinating there yourself," she said to the male. "I don't think I've ever seen someone with a tail quite like yours. I'm Adelaide."

Having some random red ulaya run up and invade her personal space was not the reaction T'ali had expected when she had made her entrance. Huffing slightly, she twitched at the obvious scrutiny, highly annoyed with his bubbly personality already.

When he finally stepped back she rolled her eyes at him and the other female and mockingly mimicked his voice "Sorry, you've just got an interesting lack of brain" her tail twitching silently behind her.

Lack of brain? He wanted to spit words at her, but decided against it. She was fascinating looking, and that was it. He shrugged and passed as he looked back at the other female and he smiled. "Oh? My sister has one as well." he said now almost completely ignoring the other female for a moment.

Finally, He noticed the other didn't have any ear fluff at all. "But I could say the same about your ears. They seem to be lacking some fluff." He nodded. "But it's fascinating seeing other's that don't look the same, isn't it?" Well, no one looked the same, but he figured she'd know what he meant by that.

He finally turned to the other female who called him brainless. "As for you, you shouldn't call being brainless, until you actually know them." he paused. "Judging a book by it's cover can prove to lie to you." He simply said with a smile. Perhaps he did over react with the new female, but sometimes he just couldn't help himself when finding information on new things.

"I have a feeling it must be genetic," Adelaide said, her ears twitching almost self-consciously. Yes, she had long ago noticed that she didn't develop the same ear tufts as most of the Ulaya. "I can't say for sure though, since I never knew my parents."

Adelaide shifted her glance to the other female, and her rather caustic attitude. "Patience is a virtue," she said calmly - not criticizing, just pointing out. "Looks like someone is in the mood for an argument."

T'ali huffed again at the lack of response. Why were they both so unresponsive? They were boring! She sat idly watching them have their own little peachy conversation and was almost about to simply turn and leave, when the red male addressed her again.

She turned her shocking green eyes on him and simply shrugged in a bored manner. She was about to respond something rude about first impressions often being true, when she realized that that would be a complete lie. There was more to her than most ulayas bothered to stick around and find out. Her openmouthed personality often scared others away before they even got to know her name.

So she simply kept her reply to a shrug before turning to the other female. Adelaide wasn't it? Locking her eyes on the green ulaya, she narrowed them slightly and stayed silent for a few moments before replying "I prefer calling it a battle of wits"

(( I apologize for my slowness ))

He shook his head and gave a shrug. "I'm Dhiren" He said with a simple bow between the two. He didn't want to start an argument, he liked keeping the situation under control, backing away from anger. Anger always made intelligence drop, and that didn't sit well with Dhiren. He flicked his fluffy tail and as he returned from his bow and smiled kindly at both females.

"I do apologize for any rudeness I have caused. I certainly need to control my curiosity better." He said with a small chuckle. Though, that was easier said, then done. But he had to try to contain himself, or he'd end up scaring everyone away.

Adelaide blinked slowly, her smile never leaving her face. "A battle of wits, is it? Do you happen to challenge everyone you meet, or only the people that get on your nerves?"

To Dhiren, she bowed back. "It's good to meet you, Dhiren. I've known others who got so wrapped up in what they were doing that they ignored the world around them - I'm kind of used to it."

T'alisira snorted "I wish" and rolled her eyes at Adelaide "But most tend to be unarmed for such a battle. I have given up long ago, but it doesn't stop one from trying, I could get lucky one day."

Raising a sceptic eyebrow at the male's bow, she mock-bowed back and responded "T'alisira..." before cocking her head in an arrogant way "and that you certainly do. Curiosity kills the cat, n'est pas?"

((I apologize for lack of reeplyyy D: ))
