My dads been on my case to get my Thyroid checked for awhile now since he found out I stopped taking my meds for it ages ago. I finally gave in and went to the doctor today. I figured it would meen getting my blood drawn which I've had done so many times by now I don't even care anymore. But then once I'm there my mom demands I get a flu shot too. I hate shots with a passion. stare I did it of course, but c'mon how mean is it to jab me in the arm twice in one day. crying
Never mind the fact that it barely hurt this time and my arms barely sore at all... ninja

If any of the symptoms I'd had before had come back I probably would've done something sooner but none of them ever did. The new doctor I saw did a few tests and says so far so good, I'm not remotely swollen, no nodules, nothing. So if the blood tests do show that I need meds still it'll most likely be a much smaller dose then I had before. And it had better be a different type of med, I don't mind taking some again, but not the same kind, I'm not putting myself through that again.

Unfortunately I'll probably never level out. Mine will never function again. Though I have to go back and see how my levels are doing. I'm not doing too well these days... xp

Yeah. Luckily the doctor said everything is fine ( went to an appointment about my hormone levels ) and I don't need to see him for 3 months now...Thank god! My meds stay the same too. I was wondering when the poking was going to stop. My veins don't like me anymore.

The results came in. My thyroid did indeed level out, it wasn't just my imagination. I'll still have to get re-checked every now and again, especially if I start noticeing any symptoms coming back. But until then no more meds for me. blaugh
My mom got tested for her thyroid at the same time.... She has to go back on her meds. xd She was annoyed, but thought it was kinda funny at the same time.

I'm glad you don't have to take any meds. My aunt has Thyroid problems as well and she has been on meds for as long as I can remember.... neutral

My aunt too, although hers is overactive, which is opposite of mine. Mine just seems to need a kick in the #$@ once in awhile to get it moving again. xd
