This is a thread about D&D(Dungeons and Dragons), D20(think, Generic D&D), and BESM(Big Eyes, Small Mouth, AKA Anime D&D).
If you got questions, post em. If you wanna talk do it. If you wanna post a character sheet, well, post the direct link to it.
I myself have been playing for like 2 years now, and am bout to start DMing my second game in a month. I've played D20 modern, and in 8 different D&D campaigns.

And Magic Missile is an awesome low level spell.the first quest me and my group go on i was a halforc monk i think with 19 strength! there was another half orc in the group that had the same strength just was a warroir i think?( i cant remeber the classes to well.) anyways everytime a locked door would come we would kick it down, and NEVER FAILED! xd oh, for some reason when it came to fighting i always got the short end of the stick. Luneth plays too. he saved me with magic missle, and now we are starting a new thing, some arena thing and me and him are teaming up as both who will use characters( we are getting new ones) that can use magic missle xd

The "Warrior" you were talking about was most likely a Fighter. Its a base class in the Players Handbook. But there are 2 versions of a Warrior class. THeres the DMG version, which is meant for NPCs, and the Unearthed Arcana version, which is just a more versitle Fighter.
As to the Arena, having 2 casters might not be the best of choices. Some one needs to be a tank. The casters are not known for taking a hit. Maybe one fighteror barbarian, with a wizard perhaps?

I haven't played D&D in ages. I remember one of my characters which I'm upset I lost was a Samurai type I believe and I had one time used everything I had to take out a guy that was lvl 18 when I was lvl 9 in one attack. I also had a monkey that would steal stuff for me lol

Was it the samurai from Oriental Adventures?

Ah
See theres 2 different Samurai: the Complete Warrior one, and the Oriental Adventures one. They handle very differently I might add. The only thing thats the same is their honor code. confused

I am currently playing D&D and have been doing so for about 2 years, so far in the current campaign my 4th level bard was just on an adventure that included killing demons and closing a gateway to their world. It was awesome but we kinda almost died. crying

Yeah.....Bards are not.....combat.....oriented....no offenseI know- the bard stayed out of combat pretty much the entire time- he just used support spells and a gnarly wand to kick demon butt. I know bards aren't combat oriented but they are fun to play. so yeah- fighters are fun if you want to beat the crap out of stuff, but I prefer bards and clerics. It was a fireball that almost killed us though.

I play a 10th level CE Red Dragon in a no/low magic campaign, so there are no spellcasters in the party whatsoever. My next level, I have the option to stop taking Dragon hitdice and go Into sorcerer, which I'd be the only character with this option open to me.
My q: should I do that, or go for a different class, or stick the hit dice?

Magic spells are all fine and good, but when push comes to shove, I'd take a really, really big sword and shield and smack that monster on the head with it. Seriously, though, it makes sense to always have a combat oriented character around, since not all monsters take the same amount of damage from spells.Plus, Fighters make good meat shields for the mages, so any self respecting adventuring party should always have at least 1 fighter around. FYI, Dragons don't take up Class HD, they stick with their racial HD, even when taking up character classes
