A chilly wind blew quietly through the grass surrounding a rather small figure sitting in the dark night sky. Stella sat, staring at the stars in the middle of the sky, watching time pass by her. It was around midnight, her favorite time of the night, and she was resting after a bit of food searching. She loved the chill breeze passing against her back, making her fur stand on end. The peacefulness at night was nice, instead of the activity during the day. Stella sat in the night, her gold rings glowing, absorbing the moonlight.

It had felt like ages since Ragnar last saw her. The pretty, black and yellow female. He felt responsible for her sudden disappearence. She didn't know that he had mated with someone else yet, and he didn't want to meet her saddened face when she did find out. But, it was easy to tell, because of something following behind him. "Aisu!" Ragnar called, ears twitching with a heard the small kit squeak again. "What it is this time?" It was obvious, Ragnar was getting sick of this kit. Even if he was his... Son.
"I'm melting!" Aisu shrieked helplessly. His paw was dripping loudly, swiftly as more water came down from him. Aisu didn't know why he melted. His tail always seemed to drip even when he wasn't in the heat, and father had to deal with getting food for everyone while mom did her 'things'. Aisu had already started to suspect they would break up, his siblings had noticed how they were towards each other. It wasn't love, it wasn't something deep down Aisu didn't know about yet.
He sighed quietly, watching as his father's face turned from anger to annoyed. "Coming..." Without a word, and with only a look from his father, Aisu wandered over to his father.

Stella had awaken to a setting sun the next day. She had been up all night, thinking about her past and the acquaintances she had made. Slowly through her dreams though, she found remembrance of one male that had touched her heart in a way she hadn't expected in such a short time. He was unlike the males she had seen before, or any other being for that matter, since she rarely saw others to begin with. Somehow his rough exterior only seemed to hide the attitude of a young boy waiting to fall in love with the girl of his dreams. She dreamed of having a loving family she could spend time with, instead of spending every night alone.
Stella got up slowly, stretching her sleek black limbs and sitting in a warm spot under the falling sun. "Hmm... perhaps I should go back..." Stella thought, thinking of that one night that made her happier than she had ever been. Stella had made her final decision. Even if he wasn't there, she'd go back to where they met and perhaps find some sort of peace. Stella gracefully walked through the forest, searching for that one spot.

Ragnar had gone far enough to know that he was coming close to where he and... Her, had met. A small shiver passed through his white coat. Those memories were heaven to him. Now, he didn't want to see her again. His three mistakes prevented him. One, Aisu, followed him around everywhere.
Sniffing the air the male suddenly froze.
Her scent was in the air. And by the looks of it, she was coming his way. Ragnar turned to face Aisu, starting to push him behind a bush. "Get in there!" He growled fiercely, pushing his son into the bush quickly.

Stella walked down the forest path as slowly as possible, not wanting to rush and have her hopes come crashing down so soon. She gazed through the trees and shrubbery wishing for some ounce of a miracle to happen, for her to be reunited. It was an odd wish, that she knew wouldn't happen, but it was a wish nonetheless. She stopped at a clearing in the forest, the area where they had first met. "Well... looks like it was all for nothing... Oh well. We all have to move on someday." Stella walked to the center of the clearing and sat, closing her eyes, letting the wind pass by her. "Strange, it was almost as if I could smell him just then... Must be my mind playing tricks on me." Stella laughed at herself and slowly got up, not wanting to leave the comfort she felt here.

Ragnar eyed the bush, telling his son through eye contact not to move a muscle. Then, his small tail slowly lashed. His claws dug into the ground when he spotted something black on the horizon. Even at this hour, it was still seen. Ragnar's breathing almost stopped. It was her.
His muscles almost jumped up. Ragnar immediately darted closer to her prescence, overwhelmed with that same feeling. Though, his only concerns were if Aisu had the guts to appear. "... Stella?" The polar bear ulaya called with ease. His black claws dug into the ground again, worry inflicting his happiness like spears. Aisu wouldn't have the courage to show himself, would he?

It was as if she had been paralyzed. His voice, it swept over her, but she didn't think it was real. Slowly, she turned her head around. "Ra... Ragnar...? Is it... Really you?" Stella had no fully turned around, staring eye to eye with the white scruffy waja. She didn't know what to do. Should she go to him? Remain away? Everything came rushing over her at once.

A slow nod caused the male to take a step forward. But, as quickly as he had, Ragnar withdrew. He was quivering helplessly. Ragnar's ears flicked back to his head. He had to tell her. "Yes, it is.. me." His voice was low and quiet, filled with slight dread. Ragnar's black-like eyes looked down. He sat down and let out a sigh. "I'm sorry."

Stella glanced at Ragnar, and then away, confused. "Why... Why did you leave?" Stella paused, thinking of what to say next. "Where have you been?"
She pawed at the ground, trying to keep herself calm.

"I had gone out to find berries, when..." He stopped, glancing over at the bush where his son was hiding. Ragnar let out a loud sigh, and flicked his tail towards the bush. "You can come out."
Aisu blinked at his father. He came out slowly, looking at the black female in awe. He let out a cautious smile and wandered over his father.
"I... was drugged." Were the only words that Ragnar could utter, before his eyes casted down again.

"You... You left me because you had a child?" Stella glanced at the little boy, trying not to seem bitter. "Well, at least he's a cute one..." Stella lowered herself to become eye level with the young ulaya. "And what's your name?" She said, smiling, trying to sound as sweet at she could. She didn't want to act harshly around the young kit.

Ragnar tried his hardest now, not to sigh again. He looked to Aisu and Stella. Oh, he hoped she wouldn't be too bad with him!
"Aisu." He said calmly, looking at the other with wide eyes. The ice on his shoulders prickled lightly, making crutchy-like noises while they seemed to stern. Aisu winced lightly at their movement, fully aware now that the ice on his shoulders were moving because of the sun.

"Aisu, hmm? I see, it suits you. Short and sweet." Stella looked carefully at the young ulaya, then something startled her. Was he... melting? "Uhm, is he alright?" Stella asked, looking at Ragnar. "It looks like he's... melting." Stella didn't know whether or not she was seeing things, or if the child really was melting before her eyes.

Ragnar looked at Aisu with an alarmed expression. He saw the dripping and shook his head. "Aisu... I really think you should get under a tree. Before your no more." Ragnar spoke to his son, a worried-like tone.
Aisu nodded solemnly to his father, turning and quickly wandering over to a tree. He looked back at the black female, smiling a little. "Your not imagining things... I'm kind of made of ice. Or, some of me. So, I have to watch out if I'm out in the sun. Or I'll.. melt." He frowned and glanced back at where he was still dripping. Aisu quietly sighed.

Stella stared, half in awe at the strange little ulaya. "Made of ice huh...? That's a little different now isn't it?" Stella decided to move, slowly she walked towards the young ulaya, to get a better look at him. "Well we have one thing in common, I don't like the sun much either." Stella smiled at him. Still, she was thinking about Ragnar, and how he left her that day.
