He destroyed my life...
Ok, so my boyfriend thinks I am a really amazing poet.
Fair enough, I am a decent poet.
But I always write about doom and gloom, because it is what I can relate to most.
Now he wants me to write a romantic poem and I have no clue how to.
Thing is, if there is something he thinks I can do, then it turns I can't do it, he gets really dissapointed/upset.
It makes me feel really bad because I can't always do what he expects.
Any tips or pointers, please?
Now I will destroy him.

And I have no idea how to do romantic either.

Hmm, maybe you could think of a very romantic moment the two of you experienced and use it as a springboard?

Romantic poems should come naturally easy.. If you're in love, you have enough inspiration to write something cute and cheesy. :3
Make a love poem that describes how much love you feel when you're around him and how happy he makes you feel, then add in fluffy things like "flowers" and "eternal happiness" and "unwavering love" xD
It's that simple o_o

I'm a romance writer, not a poet. Sorry!!
But maybe you could write about a romantic place or a really romantic time in your life.
When I write, I invision a romantic place. For example, a small Alcove (I think it is) that's rounded with lots of soft pillows with vanilla scented candles and dark pink rose petals and a nice journal to write in and a sharp pointy pencil with pencil grips to write with.
I invision a lot mainly because I can't make anything like that happen at my house since I'm only 12... But maybe your idea for a romantic spot is easier to make and get to.

Depressing thoughts, yes?
Write about how he makes you not think these depressing thoughts, and how he lifts you out of them into the clouds...away from reality in his arms. C:
Just a thought. I'm not a very good poem writer I don't think, so that's what came to mind for me. Good luck with your poem! :3

It's kinda frustrating, I read what you are all suggesting and I know that something should just 'pop' into my head like it always has.. But nothing..
I think my mind has broken at the though of romance. >_<

Maybe you could say you love him so much you're speechless?
And you know in today's society, it doesn't have to rhyme. I always find that very hard. Just right down basically how much you love him, why you love him, and put it into something that sounds nice! : D

Too tired from trying to teach my ex to draw.
