 He sits in the corner, little movement to give him away. Horns pointing straight up and hands lying dead at his sides, he seems like a part of the room itself, violet scribbles going up his limbs. Beside him, a pinhog stands on all four legs, staring out with the fiercest look imaginable. Voices can be heard.
'Are you kidding? I almost didn't see them there,'
'They've put themselves in the shadows, that's why.'
'My goodness, that little one is creeping me out!'
'Is he -are they- dead? I haven't seen either one of them move, even once.'
In the corner, Balius suddenly stiffens, taking a quick look at his partner.
"You hear that? They think you're dead," he smirks, taking a quick nibble at his arm, almost puncturing the fabric.
Xanthos laughs a dry laugh, eyeing his pinhog in amusement, eyes twinkling with morbid jokes left unsaid.
"Dead? I wish."
