Story

Eden University is a fairly quiet and prestigious campus that encourages student interaction and participation in school spirit and activities. Numbering around a thousand of the greatest young minds to graduate from high school, Eden has set quite a challenging standard for acceptance.

However, that hasn't stopped Alexander Blackburn, an apparently rebellious and incredibly lazy student, from entering. Labeled the "Bad-boy of Eden," he has developed quite the reputation for being the punk among a plethora of scholars.

Of course, a person who sticks out so much has not gone unnoticed, or unsuspected. Various people around campus, including his sports-business major roommate Zach Bryson, believe there is more to this strange student than meets the eye.

And they are right.....

Rules

Most of these are fairly obvious considering you ARE in this guild...

Roleplay Preferences

This is basically what I'd prefer to happen in my roleplays. Please take these into consideration.

1. When I do roleplays, I prefer them to be character-driven. Action is always a plus, and stories are entertaining, but the characters are what keep things interesting. And when I talk about characters, I'm not just referring to their actions, but also their thoughts. How do they feel about each situation as it comes along? What motivates them to do what they do? I would really like to know about your character. Take us in-depth; what's going through your character's mind?

2. I prefer this roleplay, in particular, to be realistic. There will be a few exceptions, but everyone else is a normal human being. Blackburn is the only unusual human, whereas everyone else is simply human. They may have dark pasts or secrets, but they cannot be connected to government conspiracies or anything like that, anything fictional or supernatural. Keep things that way, or I'll put you on my blacklist.

3. Don't rush this roleplay. I want it to last a long time and I want everyone to be able to add layers to the storyline. Don't automatically take your character to this place or that and have them do something to radically alter the storyline. I pretty much hate that, and I'm assuming many other literate roleplayers share my feelings.

4. Don't roleplay with just one person. Try and involve your character with as many other characters as possible. What makes a character-driven story so vivid and entertaining is the connections and conflicts that develop between everyone. Don't post five pages between two people. Involve others.

5. In the profile skeleton, I added a theme song for each character, preferably one that sums up that character. Having a theme song will help others to determine what your character is like and how they act.

Eden University

These are the different buildings on campus, as well as the available activities corresponding to each building or club.

The Dorms:

In each dorm, there are three floors (two sides to each floor, northside and southside), a kitchen located on the second floor, two lounge rooms on the first and third floors (mostly pool, ping-pong, large-screen TVs, etc.), and a basement where the laundry rooms are located.

Alpha Dorm - Primarily a male dorm; double rooms; holds 200 people.

Kappa Dorm - Primarily a female dorm; double rooms; holds 200 people.

Delta Dorm - Co-ed dorm; single rooms; holds 250 people.

Omega Dorm - Co-ed dorm; single and double rooms; largest dorm, holds 350 people.

The Library - three-story building, self-explanatory.

International Center - two-story building, holds foreign language, philosophy, and religion classes here; all racial/language/religious clubs held here.

Activites Center - two-story building, holds physical education classes here; basketball court, swimming pool, and rock-climbing wall located here; all physical activity clubs are held here.

Education Building - three-story building, holds English/literature, creative writing, and psychology classes here; chess club held here.

Science Building - three-story building, holds all science, math, and environmental classes here; all science and environmental clubs are held here.

Arts Building - two-story building, holds art, music, and theatre classes here; all fine arts clubs, concerts, and plays/productions held here.

Student Union Building - three-story building, place for students to gather and hang out. Includes pool, ping-pong, air hockey tables, cafe and pub, and small stage for intimate acts such as poetry slam.

This is my story: Alexander has had a difficult life until he entered high school. His parents were constantly arguing until the day his mother left, leaving him with his father, and the two had never been close. This is what I look like:Kaitlyn is what would be called 'statuesque', except that she can't really gracefully manage her height yet. As such, she can most charitably be called gangly. She has a waist length cloud of soft, white-blond hair that perpetually obscures some part of her face, and her eyebrows and eyelashes are so light they are, for all intents and purposes, non-existent. She wears thick, rectangular glasses that magnify her already large grey eyes to an almost comedic size. Her mouth, although full and lovely, has little color, as she doesn't like wearing make up, and her nose has a small bump that she runs her finger over when nervous. At seventeen, she still has no figure to speak of, which is fine by her. Her skin is unnaturally pale, as she spends all her time inside reading or staring at a computer screen.
She wears unrevealing clothing in soft, unremarkable colors. She does have a large and extremely odd collection of jewelry from around the world, which tends to air on the side of obnoxiously clunky. She is on an internet quest to find a pair of radish earrings, like Luna Lovegood's from Harry Potter, but has had no luck so far.

I would describe myself as: Lost, alone, and empty. I am quiet, but when provoked I snap. Most people say when they look in my eyes they see their own death. The tone in my voice is cool, yet depressing. Even my touch is icy cold. To expand a little on the 'snapping'; I snap mentally. I black out as a person a have the tendency to go on a violent rampage. Granted, I didn't put that my application.
This is my story: As I child I was abused. My mother dead and my father the walking dead, a drunk and a junkie. I was always the target of his rampages, whether they be induced or from the mental and emotional strain he was putting on all of us. By the time I turned twelve I figured out what I needed to do. I needed to stay out of the house while caring for my father at the same time. I became involved in sports and extra curricular activities. Not to mention, I got a job at a local recording studio. I made a living that way and also began recording my own pieces. My father died three weeks before I recieved my acceptance letter.
These are my hobbies: I love playing the piano, but I play the guitar if I travel. I sing and record. I also love art. I write poetry along with stories and I draw. I run too. It is an exhilarating feeling. I fence, am a thirteenth degree black belt in tae kwon do, play lacrosse and softball, the best sport of them all. I also dapple in other sports. However, since most of those activities require time to be dedicated to them, I can usually be found with my nose in a book.

I would describe myself as: She's very kind, when not tested; having that been said, she can be very stern, and when she does get angry it isn't easy to calm her down. She isn't very talkative, but also not shy; she just think talking is a waste of energy that could be spent doing something more productive. She's not very fond of any person under the age of 16, having been convinced that anyone under that age is immature and uncontrollable. She's serious when it somes to medical sciences, and plans to one day become a forensics investigator.
This is my story: Ava was born into a rich family in Paris, France. Ever since she was little, and could remember, she admired her doctor, and planned to one day become one herself. She went through her schooling quick, and graduated high school at the age of 15. Her parents sent her to study medicine at Oxford University, where she picked up her forensics obsession, and soon devoted her life to forensic science. She moved to America after a heartbreaking break up with her boyfriend, where she started working at Eden University as a part-time nurse, at 25, but soon became a full-time employee. She began her after school course at 26, which, after a year, she rose the standards of the class, wanting only those who were just as passionate about forensics as she was. Now, at 28, she's both head nurse and forensics science teacher.
These are my hobbies: She's very passionate about health and the human body, always spending her free time reading medical books and exercising. She's also in the process of writing a murder mystery, but has hit a road block, and had been stuck in the same spot for nearly two years.
This is my interest/This is what I teach: She's the school's head nurse, who also holds an after school forensics class for a select few who are also passionate about medical sciences.
Here are a few more things about me: Ava is very cultural, meaning she's open to any and all cultures, never afraid to try anything new. She loves food, and loves to cook.
