What is your stance on euthanasia, or medical assisted suicide? Should people have the right to be put to sleep?

I believe that euthanasia should be legal. Of course, not just anybody would be able to be euthanized... it would remain restricted to serious/mortal illnesses and only certain doctors would be able to access and administer the drug.

Having seen too much cancer among my dogs and among various relatives I absolutely have to say allow authanasia. Why is it we console each other on pet lists with "we helped her to the Bridge" or "We gave her angel wings" or what not, seeing euthanasia as the last gift we can give a loyal pet, and then recoil in horror at the consideration of doing the same for a human cancer victim? Obviously I would be sure that it is the victim's choice and not pushy family or whatever.
