Dont you? It`s has an amazing range of notes. It has high notes, and low notes. The violin is mainly all high, the bass is very low all around. The viola has a great range as well, but the cello has better looks than the viola, so cello basically owns. : D

viola gets cred for being one of the hardest instruments to play. slow string response, really wide neck (makes vibrato killer-hard), "wrong" size (should be 21+ inches), and overall awkward to play. but it's worth it.

That's cool that you like an orchestral instrument (I think i just made that word up. If not... COOL!!!) 2 of my friends play the violin and one of them used to play the viola

Even though I am a violinist by birth, I'm a cellist at heart. I simply love the mellow sound and the foundation it brings to an ensemble.
I was suppose to get a cello for Christmas, but sadly my spouse wasn't able to follow through with that.

I've been playing the cello for 6 or 7 years. The note range is pretty amazing.

You know cellos are like the heart of life. They can play all sorts of notes! If a cello was a person I would marry 4laugh heart it and have 47 kids (Although I question how they would look.) 47 is like my favorite number

Even though I'm a violinist, I really like the cello. I would jump at the chance to learn how to play it. <3

my sister plays the viola at Towson U, and i play the cello in my little HS, but i cant stop thinking about that cello! The wide range, the variety of type of sounds it can give (mellow, bright, soft, loud with mellow...does that make sense?) and the naturality of its position. But, they are not made for small- handed ppl! Im still having trouble stretching for the next position in all our music while the boys can do it! sweatdrop

I love playing the cello and I love listening to it. When you hear a cello, it is like a piece of a person's soul is coming to you because of how rich and deep the notes are.
