Note: This is an rpg based upon Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender. However, as the story will tell, one does not need vast knowledge of the show to roleplay in this rpg. I will explain everything you need to know.

Story

After Aang's defeat of the Fire Lord, the Fire Nation rule was handed to the new Fire Lord Zuko. Azula was locked up and kept under heavy guard, and the Fire Nation was in peace with the rest of the world.

The Earth Kingdom regained control over their nation under the rule of their former King.

The Water tribes, with the help of the other nation, came back with a bang, repopulating within a few years.

The Air nomads are currently slowly making a comeback. They still are severely underpopulated, but they are growing.

It has been several hundred years since the final battle. The Avatar cycle has passed from Air to Water to Earth to Fire to Air to Water to Earth, and back to Fire. However, the Avatar, unbeknowst to her parents at the time, was unceremoniously abandoned as her parents were not ready to care for a child.

A nation to the north housing a special tribe of Earthbenders has decided that the Fire Nation would make a better place to live than their desolate, cold, frozen home. They bribed the Earth Kingdom to aid them in overthrowing the Fire Nation. The Water Tribes took the side of the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads chose to remain neutral.

With the world facing an inevitable war, hope now turns to the new Avatar. But how can the Avatar help when she does not know of her heritage? The tale of the lost firebender begins here.

Basically, the short version of this story is:

Avatar gets abandoned
Special Earthbenders from the north attack the Fire Nation
Earth Kingdom sides with the northern newcomers
Water Tribes side with the Fire Nation
Air Nomads are neutral
World is divided
Avatar is needed

Rules

1: To begin, send your character's profile in a PM with the title being whatever is typed somewhere in this post. Find it please. Send it to the account 'Yuuna_Takara'. Anything sent to this account will be deleted without warning. This is to avoid flooding my inbox with multiple pm's.

2: No god-moding, auto-hitting or any of that old stuff. I'll be keeping a very close eye on this rule

3: Keep vulgarity to a certain extent and respect Gaia's ToS

4: OOC comments must be in this format ((Text goes here))

5: Please keep posts in third-person past-tense

6: Killing will only be tolerated if I get the required form from both involved pm'ed to me. You will find said form in the Notes post

7: My word is law, if I find that you break one of my rules, onto the Black List you go

8: If you join, please join to stay. Do not just post once and leave. If you must leave for any amount of time, please send me the required form (found in the Notes post) so I can mark you inactive

9: I shall launch this RP when I have the Avatar and at least 4 other characters

10: You may have as many characters as you like as long as you can handle it. If you have more than one character and you have not posted with one of them for several days without notice, (see Notes post) you will be asked to back down on one or more of your characters. This is to make sure that every character is right into the action, and no one is left hanging The title of the pm must be 'Avatar'

11: Power Playing (that is, taking control of another's character) is not permitted AT ALL! No exceptions. Oh, and if you have read and thus understand all of the rules, please have the next rule somewhere in your audition pm

12: And most importantly, HAVE FUN! I don't want to be known as the Wicked Witch of the West, I just want a well run rpg... that reminds me...

13: Be literate. At least 6 well developed sentences per post with good spelling and grammar. I understand writer's block (but it doesn't last forever), but I don't understand wen u tak lyk dis. No chatspeak, and no using ** for actions. You must use "" for speech.

14: Keep this PG - 14. Romance is encouraged if it enhances the plot, but remember. Cybering makes Gaia admin very unhappy.

15: Please do not post until the status of the rpg (post 16) says OPEN

The role of the Avatar will be auditioned

The story will start in the midst of the Water Tribes where the Avatar will be washed up on the shore. More info on this to follow to whomever gets the part of the Avatar.

Remember, this takes place a few hundred years after the plot of Avatar: The Last Airbender, so none of the main characters are alive.

The special Earthbenders from the north are like the Water Tribes in structure. In the plot of this rpg, their headquarters are in the Earth Kingdom.

Speaking of the Earth Kingdom, their king has been dethroned and replaced with the leader of the newcomers.

Check Wikipedia for info on Avatar's storyline, but as this takes place long after the main events of the show, all you really need to know is about the Avatar and the four bending types.

Along with each character sheet, please include a 1 paragraph segment of how you would roleplay your character (if submiting more than one character, there must be a segment for each). Also include a link to either an rpg you have been in, or a fanfiction you have written. If you can not supply either of these, then extend the writing segment above to two paragraphs per character.

The Avatar

To audition for the role of the Avatar, submit a four paragraph (6-8 sentences each) written description of how you envision the character personality wise and physical description wise. Also include a one paragraph segment of a post you would use as said character. At the end of your audition, please provide a link to either an rpg you are in or a fanfiction you have written. If you can not supply either of these, please extend the post segment to two paragraphs.

Why am I so harsh?

Blame it on experience. I just want this to be great. I'm not strict, you will find. I just want to see you at your best. Don't worry if you can't get everything as long as they should be. Just tell me at the top of your pm and I will go easy on you. Chances are that every profile I get will be accepted. I might ask you to tweak something, but that's it. I'm not a hard person to deal with.
