It had been a while since Anoki had gone to the playground. For a while he actually bought into Raven's protests that he was too old to be dallying that way. And while part of him felt just a little bit silly sitting on the swing, the rest of him tried to think about other things. Like how good it felt to get out of the house and do something he wanted, for a change. Something that wasn't educational or practical, but just kind of fun.
He'd wanted to bring Eirinn along, in reality, but both Raven and Mahou had made it clear to him that she wasn't allowed outside. She wasn't even home that day; it was one of Raven's busy research days at the lab. Which was, really, the only reason he had been able to sneak out in the first place.
Ignorant to Anoki's inner thoughts, Myung-Ki was curled up on the bottom of the slide, not quite asleep but not awake. The base of his right wing was wrapped in plain white bandages and held at an odd angle, but he didn't seem to be bothered by it at that particular moment.

Thud, thud, thud! The dragon bounced along happily with a rather earhtly toned creature sitting on his back. With each hop the girl lifted up off his back and came down a moment later a few inches forward. Afterall, Ymir wasn't about to drop the girl on accident, he was having a bit too much fun to be so careless.
Harle was giggling quite loudly as she clung to the scarf that had been tied around the dragon's neck. Actually, it was mostly there as something for her to hold onto rather than to keep the dragon warm. The slightly ragged looking purple thing was an object snagged out of Keanu's room as an afterthought for the girl before they'd left the house for the walk in the park. Unlike the two winter loving freaks, Harle wasn't as well equipped for the cool winds that ran rampant in winter. Even with a slightly heavier winter coat, she was quite bundled up, and should there be a need the scarf would be hadded to her winter outfit of the day. But, as of the current moment it was an accessory for the 'bucking bronco' of a hybrid dragon.
A few feet behind the loud pair was the current sibling-sitter, Keanu, quite enjoying the cold. Afterall, winter was the only time he didn't feel like he needed to hide underground during the day. Even with the breeze today he was still wearing only a tanktop and his usual jacket. Afterall, this kind of weather was about as comfortable as it got for him. "Try not to run over that-" Or not, there went a bush as the dragon purposefully barreled through it catching a few barren twigs on the scarf and his younger sister's clothes as he did. Though neither seemed the least bit fazed, seeing as how Harle only squealed louder before giggling and flattening out against the dragon's neck more.
a few more bounces before the dragon chose to switch to running around more smoothly in his 'desperate' attempts to knock the child off, darting along through the park a few more steps before noticing something rather bright against the landscape. Red to be exact. Coming to a halt and lifting his head up for a better look, the dragon sniffed slightly, tilting his head to one side while viewing the thing as the child on his back peeked forward as well at the figures.
"Issaperson." She chimed, releasing the scarf quickly and ducking down, then sniffing a bit. "Annadraggy!" She added loudly before swinging her leg to the other side of the dragon and sliding to the ground in a single movement. A quick fall and a few seconds to regain her balance before the girl went darting toward the bright coloured dragon. Harle had met two dragon's in her life. Both had been quite nice, so she'd learned that it was acceptable to run up and play with them, thus that nagging feeling in her head of 'beware of predators' had been subdued when dealing with them. So there went the logic of being wary of strangers as the girl zipped along the ground toward the fire dragon.
Keanu had jogged up after the dragon took off, arriving as Harle took off toward the pair. Which meant chasing her down. "Harle don't!" Oh, the irony of that, how the tables turned with time. Though looking ahead did identify who was on the bench. "Isn't that Anoki?" The question was directed at Ymir, who was easily keeping pace with the leopard, though his steps where a lot heavier.
The dragon merely gave a low grunt in response, having slept through most of that class. Lilly hadn't been on his back about it and watching training could get boring. So the ibex wasn't exactly something he remembered.
"Draaaaaaggy!" The child called out as she neared the pair before suddenly being brought to a halt as the hood of her winter jacket was caught and she was suddenly yanked up off the ground as an arm circled around her torso.
"What has been said about approaching new people?"
"Draggiesisnice." She chimed, looking up happily at her brother, pointing to the red creature on the ground. "LikeYmiry."

Anoki wasn't swinging too high, but high enough that at the peak of one of his swings, he caught sight of something in the distance. Something very big and moving fast. He wasn't too nervous at first, but when he saw them heading for Myung-Ki, he felt that it would be best to intervene. The Red wasn't very friendly even on a good day, and if he was woken up from a nap, it would be even worse.
In one practiced motion he slid off the swing when it was at its highest point, flying a couple feet through the air and landing, more or less, on his feet. He swayed for a moment, disoriented from his landing, but once he found his center of gravity again he dashed for the slide. Maybe if he could get there first, he could explain to the strangers that Myung-Ki was nice... from a distance.
As he got closer, he realized that one of the strangers wasn't as strange as he'd first assumed. A chill ran down Anoki's spine, one that had nothing to do with the weather, but he dismissed it. If this was Keanu, the whiteish dragon was probably his. But who or what was the little brown and orange thing?
As the group got closer, Myung-Ki raised his head sleepily. There were lots of people. Were they there to interrupt his sunbathing? If any of them tried, he'd have to bite them a new one. But in the meantime, he was a bit too tired and enjoying the sun too much to quit his basking. If they didn't bother him, he wouldn't bother them. Yet.
Anoki didn't get the message, and made sure to step in front of Myung-Ki, just in case. "Pl-please wait a m-minute," he pleaded, hoping he didn't sound rude. "He's n-not very friendly. Not always, an-nyway."

Wriggling against the hold of her holder brother, legs hanging down as she tried to re-reach the ground with little avail she only paused as the new person walked up, starring blankly at him. What did he mean not nice? "Draggiesisnice." She quickly babbled back, a wide smiling on her face. This was obviously the dragon's keeper. Like Keanu had Ymir and such. Wait, maybe she had to ask first like that one time with the red fuzzy guy. "CanIplaywithhim?" He had refered to the dragon as a he afterall.
Keanu sighed lightly, nodding at Anoki spoke, holding Harle firmly off the ground despite her protests. "And that's why you ask first, Harle." He said matter of factly, hoping maybe it would sink in. She didn't really pause though, obviously thinking that it was still ok now that she HAD said something along the lines of asking. Waiting for an answer wasn't required.
Turning his attention back to Anoki briefly he offered a smile, obviously recognizing the boy from the battle class. The one he'd drug Anoki into somewhat forcefully. Obviously that wasn't on his mind though. "It's been a while hasn't it?" He asked, obviously not sharing the same sentiment that Anoki did about him. Predator and prey roles were fairly lost on him.
Ymir slunk up easily, eyeing thepair a moment before assuming that since this was some sort of friend of Keanu's he wasn't a threat. which lead to a few quick steps forward before nudging his head up against Anoki's head. The action that meant he was going to demand affection of some sort and he'd be damned if he was deprived of it. And that Myung-Ki could bug off since he completely dismissed the red. Let him sunbathe all he wanted.
Harle, on the other hand, had not given up on the red. She had seen a purple one, and now a red one. she wanted to play with the red one too. "Immabeeesfriend." She called happily, hoping to gain some sort of freedom, though only earned herself a casual look that said it wasn't happening.
"He doesn't want to play." The leopard responded before turning his attention back to Anoki. "So, have you been keeping up with practice?"

Dragawhat? The little girl- it sounded like a girl under all the clothes, anyway- was talking so fast that Anoki could barely understand. Draggie- oh! "Not all of th-them," he explained, making sure to keep himself between Myung-Ki and... well, anyone else. If the dragon got mad, he'd rather be the first target. "H-he's, um... cranky. Y-yeah. Maybe you c-can pl-play later?"
If he found something good to bribe the dragon with, Anoki found that Myung-Ki was capable of playing nice. He just had to think of a sufficient bribe first.
"It h-has!" he said in reply to Keanu when the situation was under control. Not that he was sure what else to say. "Um... h-how are you? I've b-been practicing on m-my own, but I was, um... on v-vacation, so I'm k-kinda behind in cl-classes." That was the best way to explain it, he figured. Even he wasn't sure what the whole story was.
Smiling uneasily, Anoki started to unconsciously rub Ymir at the base of the wingblades. It was one Myung-Ki's favorite spots, but to scratch it on the much bigger dragon, he had to reach a fair bit higher. "H-he's sleeping," he tried to explain again. "B-but when he w-wakes up, maybe he'll w-want to play." Maybe.
"A n-new friend?" he asked Keanu, gesturing to the girl. He hadn't pegged the leopard as the babysitting type, but then, the two hard really only met once. It was hard to judge from first appearances.

Harle simply stared at Anoki, ears drooping as he spoke. Cranky? Like... she frowned, like Arianna. "Why'secranky?" A quick question as usual. At least she'd calmed down enough to stop kicking and simply try to take in how to deal with the dragon for the time being. "GuessIplaywithYmiry." He added, finally getting put down at that after lightly tapping Keanu's arm to ask to be put down. With that she scampered over next to Anoki to scratch under the hybrid's chin. "Ymirylikesheadanbackanbellyanchinscratchies." As if that would help narrow down how to deal with the dragon. In truth anything would do so long as it was some form of affection.
After setting the child down Keanu watched to make sure she did, infact, do as she claimed she was going to before looking back up. "Ah, well that's why I haven't seen you. I missed quite a few too." Best not to explain he'd nearly gotten himself killed. "But I practice on my own a lot, so maybe we can spar again sometime?" And it would be an actual spar, not wildly waving swords around.
Harle glanced up at Anoki as he spoke again, before glancing at the red. "Ymiryokwithwakiewakie." She quickly chimed, obviously having trouble realizing that not all dragons where overgrown puppies on the inside. Though she did keep to obeying the earlier command to leave the dragon be for now.
Ymir flopped down on the ground beside Anoki, careful not to lay on either person in the slightest in the process. This allowed for better access for Anoki as well as lazing about. He might be here a while afterall.
"She's my little sister Harle." He replied, glancing down at the girl. "She started living with us a while back. She's used to Ymir so she doesn't realize that dragons aren't exactly toys." That was enough of an explanation really. "Sorry about the trouble with that."

And there he'd gone and made her sad. Anoki knew the girl would be more sad if Myung-Ki went and bit her, but he still felt bad for disappointing her. At least she didn't seem to be too upset... or if she was, she was hiding it well. "He d-does?" he asked conversationally, not 100% sure of what she'd said. He didn't change where he was scratching either, but Ymir didn't look like he minded.
It seemed he wasn't the only one who had missed a few things either, which made him feel a good deal better. "I'd l-like th-that," he said truthfully. He wasn't making much progress on his own, and as embarrassing as it would be to lose to Keanu again, if it meant good practice, it would be worth it. "I h-hope we're both b-better this t-time."
Ymir looked comfortable. It must be nice to have a dragon that didn't try to breathe fire (or rather, smoke) at everybody who passed by. "Myung-Ki's cr-cranky sometimes," he tried to explain. "He l-likes people, b-but he kinda needs his sp-space." That was mostly accurate, right? Anoki looked back at Myung-Ki, who was thankfully still too spaced out to move, and nodded. He wasn't a bad dragon, but he was terribly temperamental.
"Y-your sister?" Well, that was a surprise. "That's c-cool though." Sisters could be fun, provided they weren't named Bian or Isvara. Eirinn was nice, for instance. Then Anoki remembered his manners and bent down, offering the hand that wasn't busy scratching Ymir to Harle. "It's nice t-to m-meet you, Harle. I'm Anoki, and m-my dragon is Myung-Ki. D-do you know what k-kind of dragon y-you're getting yet?" She looked a bit young for that, but then, it was difficult to tell. Either way, she sure seemed fond of dragons, so it felt like a safe topic to discuss.

She id dislike not being able to pet, feel, and abuse things(not that she saw it as that) freely, but there was some sense in her head. It was just the childish nature to be disapointed that she hadn't gotten her way. "Yeshedoes." She quickly replied to the question, grabbing the dragon's snout in a hug suddenly. "See? Helikeshugstoo." Oh yes, she considered herself an expert on all things Ymir, even though she technically didn't know that much about the dragon. Just that he was fun to be around.
"It'd be great to see how much both of us have improved since then, and I'll make sure to be careful." He hadn't exactly forgotten that both of them had come out of that fairly beaten up. Best to avoid a similar outcome again. "But I'm sure you've gotten a lot better, we were both pretty bad before. We could only get better, right?" That was true, hoo boy... Ikurai would have killed him if she'd seen him fighting with someone like that.
Ymir was comfortable, so long as all was well with the world he was a placid and friendly as anyone could hope for in a dragon. Easily pleased with a scratch on the head. Though the moment someone stepped out of his 'right with the world' setting the dragon was quick to snap and had a definite protective streak. He wasn't one to adore violence, but wasn't above it either. He just needed the proper cause before he's resort to it. "Ees good." The dragon rumbled quietly, using the broken english he was prone to when attempting to speak with people. It was probably where Harle had picked up some of her grammatical errors.
"Yea, she sort of... showed up a while back." He rubbed the back of his head. "I have other sisters too, but she's actually from D-Corp as well." He added, smiling. "It's nice though." He really did like being a big brother to them, even if it took time from training.
Harle paused from having gone back to scratching the dragon's face at the hand extended to her, then swung both hands up before doing a double anded shake. "Anokinoki. Nicetomeetyou." A trained greeting, or mimicry? No one would ever know. Then a glance at the dragon. "Nicetomeetyoutoo, CrankyMyung-Ki." She added, beaming happily. Then back to Anoki. "Iwantanotherymiry." She quickly added, nodding at the pale hybrid. Well, that certainly wouldn't be happening.

"You're l-lucky to have such a f-fun dragon for a f-friend," Anoki said with a pinch of envy. If he tried to randomly hug Myung-Ki, he'd probably get an earful of hot smoke. But that was Myung-Ki, and this was Ymir, and there was no point in being jealous. There were probably things his own dragon could do that nobody else could, and vice versa.
It was a bit difficult keeping up conversations with two different people- not to mention scratching Ymir's scales- but so far, Anoki was managing. "Y-yeah... we'll b-both be careful. There's no pl-place to go b-but up, r-right?"
At least, he hoped he was better. It was a while since he'd fought against an actual person, so it would be good to see where he stood. He nodded to Ymir and didn't quite dare to stop scratching... even if this was a patient dragon, he didn't want to give any offense.
"Oh, y-yeah... I have a s-sister f-from another pl-place." Technically Isvara and Bian were supposed to be his sisters too, Anoki supposed, but he didn't really like to count them. But Eirinn was nice enough. "I d-don't think Mama Ray would l-let D-Corp give her an-nother one." Not that Raven would have much say in the matter, if it happened, but he wouldn't want to be in the room during that conversation.
Then back to Harle, who was speaking a bit too fast for him to get every word, but he got the gist. "Another... Ymir?" The girl didn't look like someone who would get a cold-weather dragon, but he shrugged it off. "I bet you'll get a p-perfect dragon. Are y-you excited?"

She nodded excitedly, obviously quite pleased that Anoki agreed on Ymir being a good boy. Afterall, she liked her buddy and enjoyed stealing him from her brother. "Eesagoodgoodboyandplayslotsofgames." Yep, Ymir was the best kind of dragon to have as far as she was concerned. Everif the red one was pretty in it's own way. The purple had been too.
He nodded. "Of course, and with the proper training and practice improvement comes. Effort is all it takes... and a little skill. At least that's what Ikurai says." And when she said things he'd learned to listen. Because she didn't say much so it was usually important.
Keanu didn't do real matches much, but he did spar with Ikurai a good bit. Which sort of counted since, while she could still take him down easily enough, she was a skilled swords woman. He'd counted his blessings with having a good teacher.
Ymir wasn't one to take offense, perhaps try to shove his way onto people, but if they stopped they stopped. Not much to be done about it. Though, it was good being a dragon sometimes, the intimidation factor worked wonders he'd found. Even if he was behaving well.
"Yea, Shaeria came out of a stick... or so dad calls it." He rubbed the back of his head. "So it's a bit wierd, but she's my sister so-"There wasn't much else to be said, and anyway... he'd never seen the gelfling as anything but his precious sister. "But Raja wasn't too happy, they just didn't give him an option." Which was quite true. "Though he does like Harle." Most everyone did... save Arianna. Who hated everyone.
She nodded brightly. "CauseYmiryiscuddlyandfun. Thatbeaperfectdraggy." It had little to do with type and more to do with temperament in all actuality. Which might have been a lot harder to guarantee.

Well, it wasn't as though Ymir was the only dragon who could play games. "Myung-Ki p-plays too... but he's n-not as g-good," he confided. After all, that was how he fell out of a tree during what was supposed to be a simple game of hide and seek. Surely no "normal" dragons did that.
As if sensing that he was being made fun of, Myung-Ki's tail lashed. Were they talking about him... badly?
Quickly, Anoki changed the subject. "Wh-who's Ikurai? A n-new teacher?" He knew that teachers were often coming and going at D-Corp, and he'd long since given up trying to memorize all their names and faces. Maybe even Raven didn't know them all these days, he thought.
"Out of a st-stick?" Well, that was weird. "I th-think Ei-" Anoki froze, remembering what Mahou and Raven had been so insistent on. No one was supposed to see Eirinn... or even know that she existed. Much as he would like to swap sister stories with Keanu, if anyone found out, he'd be in big trouble. "I think s-sisters are fun," he said instead. "U-usually."
The first thing Anoki thought of when he heard the word 'dragon' was generally not 'cuddlyandfun,' but everyone was entitled to their own perception. It was giving him an idea, too... one that he needed to think about for a little bit. If it worked, it would be kind of neat.
"D-did you two c-come to p-play?" he asked, looking around. That was what he was there for, come to think of it. Maybe they could all play together for a little bit. While being out alone was better than being stuck inside, being out having fun with possible friend-people would be even better!
