(This is in response to something said in the thread)

Eh, personally I am with you. This was and still is a good thread. However the way Gaia is going. There isn't any SINGLE way to restore this thread to its former glory.

Seeing as the one thing that was the back bone of why people new and old alike came to this thread is more over a mute point. Yukatas and Kimonos just don't have the draw they once did those years ago. Gaia has moved in a new direction that makes it near impossible to hold onto a single item as a donation or give away that would draw new people on more than a monthly basis.

Seeing as every month there are new items of interest that people want. No longer is there such a tiny array of items for people to want. The diversity is both good in that it gives people many options. But also bad in that it fades out groups like ours. We have gone the way of the dodo.

On the other hand simply staying and remaining here. Is probably the best way to draw new people in. The idea of a community online is now more and more becoming a reality. People want to find a group they can identify with and remain loyal too.

I don't know that I want people who are just a hit and run. People who just want a item or gold then leave once they get it. Not to mention the fact that the amount of time and effort needed to keep such a operation running is not something we have.

In short its great that there are people still loyal to FoJ, I am one of them. As long as I visit gaia, this will always be the first place I visit. However I am also for the notion of just realizing that FoJ may never regain its full glory. The ONLY place that I know of that is running at the pace FoJ used to is the Chatter Box, and I for one don't want FoJ to turn into that.

So I think its more important that we keep the sense of family that we have, and just realize that the Dynasty of FoJ has probably run its course. Which isn't to say that we shouldn't lose hope that FoJ can't make a come back. Just realize that it will probably never be what it once was and the idea or false hope that we can return it to those days isn't productive.

I only strive to keep in touch with those I know and knew. But also try to be receptive to anyone wishing to join this community or family. So I my eyes its more important to keep the GUILD going and active as possible keeping in mind people have lives. Then use this thread as a calm open place for new people to dip there toes in the waters of FoJ without getting burned by the drama that is past and present family issues or squabbles.

Far to often this thread turns rather ugly as the drama unfolds. Drama that is bound to happen in a family type arena. However such drama is not conducive to getting new blood to join FoJ and be loyal. So the idea that we should try to keep drama here to a minimum. Or that if you must squabble over ANYTHING that it should be done in the semi-privacy of the guild is the first step in rebuilding FoJ.

But these are just my thoughts on the matter. I have many others but I don't think as I have stated in the previous paragraph that this is the place to share or discuss them.

(More thoughts, but these sparked by a PM)

Well it doesn't work that way because like Niko said. We have lost our leadership, not to mention the respect of the people who made them leaders.

Now all we have is people with ideas and no one to really step up and spear head something. With out one unified leader and a group willing to be loyal. There is nothing but chaos. In this chaos there is much drama and fighting.

I don't mind it all, but if people really want FoJ to regain what it has lost. There needs to be less drama on the main thread. But no one cares, and as I am sadly gathering. No one really cares ENOUGH to make anything happen.

I just wish people would realize that FoJ as it was in its "glory" days is dead. Not to say that FoJ itself is. But that glory and what it was is lost. We just don't have the right atmosphere in GAIA itself to spark a rebirth of FoJ. Gaia is just a different place than it once was.

That is the MAIN factor that too many don't get to really know how to make a new game plan to do anything. Even if something could be done, its never going to be the same as it was. Which is why its called WAS. As in past tense not present or future.

FoJ can be rebuilt but it must also be rebuilt differently. In a way that is in alinement's with the new gaia and the way its taking shape. This is something I am afraid no one currently willing even myself knows how to do. We are too greatly rooted in the past to see our own futures.

Also we need to come to realize that FoJ just doesn't mean as much to everyone as it once did. Most have simply grown up and no longer view FoJ as a main focal point in there lifes. That is something which is sweeping gaia. The change from it being a focal point to a passing craze.

The people that made gaia what it once was have for the most part left. So its now being populated by the people who are going to make it what it WILL become. A entity that has out grown places like FoJ.

I would NEVER allow us to be moved to the Chatterbox.

No no, what I meant was. They only place getting the speed of post/pages is in the chatter box. Nothing short of that or an event thread really moves THAT fast anymore.

I'm sure if needed, we could designate a new "leader". There's no doubt in my mind that there is still someone within the FoJ who has been an active member of gaia for long enough to understand the changes that have taken place. But with that, I would also say that alot of the communal feelings gaia once had are gone. Gaia is filled with greed more than ever, and I'm sure it's growing all the time. It'd be a good idea to find a way to help those with something they'd like, and make it so they'd like to stay. I'm sure it'd also be best to attempt to appeal to more than one group of people. I'm sure you could think of examples by yourself, but if you really are curious you can always send me a message.

Personally I don't think that the FoJ has to really have one set way on how to attract the newer members. I'm sure that there are all types of ideas within the heads of many of our own members, and we should give them all a chance. Maybe you could ask the members of gaia on what they think would appeal to the masses. The Gaia Community discussion could be well used for that matter.

The problem with leadership is that there aren't people who aren't willing, take Moko for example, it's just that her old account (the owner of the guild) was hacked and she can't access it. Therefore, no leader.

Get used to it.

I'm sure that's something that's stated in what most people have said. There's nothing wrong with hoping for something good.
