Um... well, considering that sometimes people on the internet don't always post their real pictures, I'd take that into account as well. Then I'd look up where the person lived, if that information was provided, and if the ages and such matched. If by some miracle it all matched up, if I did not know the person, I would seriously consider telephoning the police. If the person was stupid enough to do it as a joke, then they deserve the ramifications of whatever occurs. If it was a member of the PPS, I might try speaking to her first to find out if it's the truth, but I would probably end up calling the police, too. It's better to be safe than sorry, and... I mean, I love you all, but if you're killing people... o.O... xD

lol, i would have sincere suspicions about whether that person in the photo really was a murderer. even if they were, they would be a really stupid criminal to post their photo on-line. i mean, if the killer knows that their photo is going to be posted everywhere and people are going to be looking out for them, then they should have at least the common sense not to post it on a widely known internet site. i'd look into it just in case, but i would have sincere doubts that the person in the photo was an actual killer and would probably assume it's just a look-a-like (essentially someone who looks like the killer, but actually isn't the real murderer. you would be surprised about how many people look similar to others).

If it was anyone in the PPS, I would ask if they needed help covering their tracks.
If it was someone on Gaia, outside the PPS, bleh tell on them, I don't care. razz

@ shindig - a scenario like that is possible, but i would consider it highly unlikely. either the criminal in question would have to really want to be caught, be an overly arrogant sociopath that thinks they can get away with anything and likes to play games with people and authorities, or essentially be completely brain dead in order to try a stunt like that. especially if they're supposedly keeping a low profile, it would also seem highly unlikely that they would suddenly decide to start playing on gaia, of all places, directly after they had committed a crime, and then start posting images of themselves so that everyone can identify them. whether or not they realized they have been identified at a present moment, you would think the likelihood of them being caught sometime in the future, or even just the possibility of recognition would cause them to be a bit more paranoid and cautious, especially about images and the internet. again, i think only somebody either overly arrogant, overly regretful, or overly stupid would attempt somebody like that. it is possible because there are criminals out there like that, but again unlikely.

it seems far more likely that the person only looks like the criminal, but is not the actual criminal themselves. as mentioned earlier, a lot of people look alike. for instance my two friends, who are not related and have never met before in their lives, look almost identical, and if my hair wasn't so short, we would all look like we belonged to the same family (it's kind of sad how me and my friends all look alike) there's even an entire show devoted to finding celebrity look-a-likes, and there are many more instances of separate individuals that look alike to one other. so, my first impression would not be that i had just found the criminal that everyone has been looking for, but rather simply found someone that looked similar to criminal in question. i would do a bit of research and check it out to be certain just in case i was mistaken about my first assumptions, but i would need a lot more evidence than one photograph to be completely convinced that the person i had come across was actually a murderer.

Matt keeps calling me a murderer because I accidently let a cat commit suicide Dx There was plenty of food in his bowl (the other cat was eating from it) and he just up and starved himself for no reason x-x; He had all full bars except for food, and there were two full bowls of cat food and he killed himself! Dx Matt thinks I set him on fire, though =o= He thinks I only murder sims.. Not let them kill themselves and save me the work xD!

I would immeadiately call the police and go about my normal PPSing, (HAHA! That sounds so WEIRD! xD) and not make a big deal about seeing their picture. Because then, if she was on a killing spree in my town/country, I would NOT want her to come and kill me. D: I mean, no offense ladies, but that's scary. But you girlies just don't seem like the killing type. Unless you really hated the people you were killing... but that's another story. D<

But if it was just randomly on Gaia, I would maybe start talking to them, like Spindra said, so the police could come and try to trace their IP address and whatnot to find them. But then I might be worried about maybe her escaping prison to come kill me. D: Because I would really miss all of you pengies. :/ And my family and RL friends too... but you get the point. Mainly you girlies, though. xD

But yeah. That'd be weird if that did happen. Like really freaky. D:
