 It had been about a week or so since their escape from the fire... and Toni had been busy making plans. Having seen Dart's courage and his own sort of fire during that whole... escapade... Toni was now rather determined to have him for her own.
Moreso than she did already, that was. First, though... she had to find him. And then ... well. Then she really had no real idea how to do this, but she intended to figure it out. And quickly.

Dart, for the most part, had wanted to keep close to Antonia - he felt protective of her and had no idea what had caused that fire, which resulted in the Dragoon feeling driven to watch over her. However, this day he was not. He'd made sure she was alright and then had wandered off.
Hunger bid him find food and that was what he'd done. A bit of rooting about had brought him into the HQ's kitchen, where he'd levered the fridge door open and was busily poking about for something to eat. Rising to put forepaws on the lower shelf so he nabbed the wonderful looking piece of roast on the top shelf. Happily, he strode over to one side of the room and sat down to gnaw on his prize. This was tasty!

After a while of searching, Toni was just about ready to give up ... having checked the HQ first, about an hour or so ago. At that point, Dart hadn't been there... but just on a hunch, the blond female decided to go back once more before throwing in the towel, so to speak.
And this time, her efforts were rewarded, as she found Dart in the kitchen, gnawing at a piece of roast he'd somehow procured.
Smiling, Toni edged into the kitchen and padded over toward him, plopping down and kind of eyeing the other sideways. "Heya," she greeted after a moment. "Where've you been today...? I was kinda looking for you." Direct approach, maybe?

"Mmm?" Dart blinked as she plunked down beside him offering a smile as he finished up his little treat. "I've been in the HQ for most of today... sleeping. Why?" Tilting his head in with a curious expression, Dart turned to face his close friend.
"Is everything alright?" His question was a worried one. The Red Dragoon didn't want to see the other hurt, cared for her welfare.

Sleeping..? Aaah, that would explain why she hadn't found him earlier. Toni might have been searching, but she wouldn't go poking her nose into the private rooms in the back of the place. That was just sort of rude, in her opinion.
"Yea... everything's juust fine," she replied to that, with a low little purr. "Just ... kinda wondered where you were." Tails flicked about behind her, confidence seeming to ooze off of pale fur, even though she was actually a bit nervous about this.

Something about her tone caught his attention and he blinked, wondering what was up. "Was there something you wanted?" He cocked his head to the side, curious now. What was with this change of attitude? She seemed entirely confident about something.

Ooh, well ... that was just good an opening to pass up, so far as she was concerned.
Letting eyes lid just a bit, Toni sidled closer still, watching the other carefully - just in case he tried to bolt or something.

He blinked, rearing up a little as she came closer, "Me?" Me what? She wanted him to do something? Eyeing the other, Dart then butted his head against hers, "You need my help with something? You have to tell, I'm not going to guess it." He laughed lightly, trying to shake off the feeling he was backing himself into a corner.
"You seem different..." He murmured, frowning slightly.

Toni blinked at that, and then laughed softly - slowly getting bolder as it became clear ... that Dart really had no idea yet what she was talking about. Oh she rather thought this would be fun.
"Sure, yea... I need your help with something," she said, corners of her mouth quirking upward. After all, kind of hard to do that by yourself... riiiiight?
She didn't elaborate, though, raising brows at him - even though he'd said he wouldn't guess.

"What?" He asked, blinking. "What're you getting at?" She was confusing him completely. Well, not entirely so. He was beginning to catch a clue and frowned, he liked Antonia, yes, but she seemed to coming on awfully strong.
.... Was she trying to confess? To seduce? Something in between? Overdoing it a lot?

Leaning in suddenly, she licked Dart's cheek, there and gone again ... playful. And then she kind of skittered backwards, tails waving about in the air and ears up.
Somehow, her whole attitude seemed to be encouraging him to come play, come chase her...
Come on ... come and get me...

At that, he froze and blinked, tilting his head to the side for a moment as he watched her. Was there anything particularly wrong in pursuing her? Not really, if you really stopped and thought about it. Besides, they were just having fun.
With a playful growl, he danced after her, nipping an ear in a motion of tag and bounced around her in a half circle.
Why not?

Toni laughed at that, ducking her head at the n** to her ear - braid floating about behind her as she bounded toward the other in turn. She didn't want to make this too easy though, and so took a few minutes to 'tag' him again.
And she did so by suddenly darting to one side and bumping into his shoulder - then streaked for the door out of the kitchen ... and out of the HQ, heading into the forest.

"Hey!!" Dart yelled, bounding out after her. She was fast, this one. Laughing despite himself, the dragoon leaned into his run and dashed after her. "Antonia!~"
She wanted him to chase her? Fine!

Laughing in return, Antonia glanced back toward Dart, holding tails up high as she ran, weaving in and out of trees and other foliage. At the same time, though ... she was careful not to get too far away. Didn't want to have a repeat of -last- time, that was for sure. Noo ... she had other plans for today...
Every time he drew nearer she seemed to find another burst of speed and he'd find himself lagging behind again. "Toni! What're you doing? Where're you going?" He called, leaping into the air so he'd be able to more easily keep up. He laughed, having fun despite himself. What was she up to?
"Hey don't set things on fire!" she called back when he jumped into the air. There was a teasing note to those words, though, as she knew that he'd learned better control over his ... odd power by now. She actually had no set destination in mind ... just wanted Dart to chase her, and eventually catch her...then well. She'd go from there. But gods knew she hadn't wanted to do ... er. This... in the middle of the HQ...
Shaking his head with a mock-grimace, Dart took advantage of a nearby clearing and swooped out of sight. He had learned better control of his abilities...among a few other things.
The next time Toni glanced back and Dart simply wasn't -there- anymore, she blinked. Ok ... where'd he go..? She knew that she wasn't going fast enough to lose him ... especially not with him flying after her so ... ?
Ah! With a hollar, the dragoon swooped down overhead, the edges of his wings trailing fire that lit the ground to either side of her. Spinning in air, he flew back to her (having overshot somewhat) and tackled her. As he his feet came into contact with the ground, the fire died down to nothing, leaving singed tracks... oops. "Ha. Got you!"
Toni actually squeaked at that, bowled over by the other's tackle - but she was laughing then, batting playfully at his head and ears with front paws. "Heeey no fair! Sneak attack!" she complained.
Then she went still for just a moment ... and leaned upward to flick tongue over his cheek. "But I wanted to be caught anyway..."
He grinned at that, tossing his head as wings settled into their resting position. He paused when she stilled and blinked at her comment. Laughing softly, he butted his head against hers, tongue flicking out to smooth her messy fur, "Oh? You have a trap waiting?" Dart was joking, of course.
Toni blinked slightly at that, though ... then a little smirking sort of look flitted over her face. "A trap ... yea, that's probly a good way to put it ..." she murmured, almost to herself.
Dart blinked again, pulling away for a moment, "Huh?" He glanced around, wary. Something about being set-up raised alarms in him... like he'd had something taken away in such a way before. "What are you talking about?" His tone grew slightly more serious. Perhaps he was just misunderstanding... he hoped so, anyways.
"Oh ... not like -that-, you silly thing," Toni said quickly, bringing a paw up to bat at an ear. "I just ... there's something I wanna tell you. And ... something ... I wanted to do. But not in the HQ. So I led you out here..."
Dart closed an eye at that, his smile returning. Flicking his ears, they perked at her comment, "Oh? What's that?" Tilting his head to the side, he peered at her, attention fully focused on the other. He really did like her... she was energetic without being annoying and bright. Had she discovered something? He felt special that she'd confide in him.
Well... in a way, she had discovered something ... though maybe it wasn't the sort of thing Dart -expected-. And suddenly, she found it ... hard to say ... but still, she swallowed and eyes lidded for a moment. Then she just blinked up at the male atop her and blurted out, "I really like you ..."
He smiled at that, licking one of her ears, "I'm glad. Means I do have redeeming characteristics." Winking as he said that, he shifted and settled beside her, missing the point of her confession. "Thank-you."
Toni blinked at that ... stunned for a second that he'd... brushed her off so casually. But ... but she ... oh hell. Now she wasn't sure if he'd actually meant to do that, or ... if he just didn't -get- it..
He paused at her sudden awkwardness, "What's wrong?" Dart looked concerned, spreading one wing over her in a sort of comforting embrace.
I'm not here for your entertainment~ says:
Shaking her head slighlty, Toni hunched down a bit. "No ... uhm. I mean ... what I mean is that I ... I -really- like you..."
"Really... like me...?" He repeated her words as understanding began to dawn. "Oh. Oh!" Dart bumped his nose against hers, figuring out what she talking about and being very embarrassed. Her reaction made sense now.
And it was his turn to be awkward... he liked her too. Something he'd begun to recognize but... /did/ he like her like that...? Quietly, he spoke, shoving thoughts and fears away, "I... like you too."
At that, Toni let out a little yipping sound of excitement and pushed her own nose up against his rather enthusiastically. "Oh! Good! I ... so ... you just didn't understand at first?" she asked, ears pricking toward her.
Dart could be ... a little dense sometimes, after all...
Ears twitched at the yipping sound but he smiled, nuzzling against her. "Apparently not... I thought you just liked me... like a friend." He laughed quietly, obviously embarassed."Sorry...."
Toni rolled eyes slightly at that - quick to forgive, as she leaned over to nudge the other just a bit. "It's ok ... and if you keep on apologizing, I'll ... have to ... bite you or something," she threatened, eyes sparkling.
"Bite me?" He laughed, quirking a brow, "I'd like to see you try." Rising, Dart batted at ther ears with a paw as he backed away. "Er, I'm sorry, but I'd like to see that." Grinning mischievously, he dipped into a play bow, wings spread, "Unless you had anything else to say? I think you mentioned wanting to do something...."
"You -want- me to bite you?" Toni asked, getting to her feet as well, with a tilt of head and a rather wicked little smirk.
"Said I'd like to see you try." He laughed, shrugging. That wicked little smile made him blink and he backed up a step, "You're going to try?"

"Of course I am... with a challenge like that!" she replied, darting toward him suddenly and aiming to n** at various places around his head and chest - where she wasn't thwarted by armor, that was.
He fell back, laughing as she 'mauled' him. "Hey!!" Dancing back a step, he nipped at her in return, trying to catch an ear to gnaw on.

Toni growled playfully and let him catch her for a moment or two before pulling away again. Then she crouched down and kind of wiggled about - as if inviting him to come after her again ... oh yes... she knew where she wanted -this- to go... and soon, probably.
Which he indulged in, bounding up to her, trying to catch that ear once more as he rolled, trying to send her tumbling so he could pin her to the ground. "Not getting away this time...."

Toni -could- have probably gotten away from him then ... but she chose not to, instead letting him roll and pin her. Then she lay there, tails twitching, as she blinked up at him 'innocently'. "And what're you going to do with me now... hmmm?"
He growled in his throat then licked her forehead, nibbling the fur there for a momement. "I had a few things in mind..." Dart's own look was 'innocent' as well as he rested his chin atop hers. She was awfully warm... and close... And smelled good too. He issued another low growl. "But that depends on what you had in mind..."
