Sawa sat outside his and Nadra's den, staring up at the sky. She was inside, asleep. He'd brought her rhino baiting this afternoon but they'd only stayed an hour or so when she'd almost gotten trampled, he realized his mind was too distracted to be bringing her to such games. He took a deep breath and sighed, glancing around.
Kianga had been gone most of the day, maybe she'd left for good. He frowned a bit at that and shook his head, swallowing and standing, slipping away from the den. His head hurt a lot these days, too many thoughts were passing through his mind. He needed to make a decision but did not want to just yet.

The journey had been long; she'd spent most of the day walking. First to the jungle... and then back. Kianga knew deep down what she wanted, and what she needed, most importantly, but she could not do it. Not yet. Not without a good bye.
She mind skidded to hault as she realised that 'good bye' was not something she wished to say. Instead she made a mental note to make it a 'fare well, till we meet again'. The words, even if merely thought to herself, left a bitter taste in her maw; she'd grown somewhat attatched to this place... to him. But she'd found what she'd always seeked for. She couldn't have both, and he already had Nadra, regardless.
Trotting towards the den, the lioness paused to scent the air, lifting her head to find Sawa's trace; she found him moments laters, looking someone pensieve, "What bothers you tonight?" the words were soft for him as she came up behind him, her body exhausted from the long journey. She sat down beside him to look up to the night sky.

His hers flicked and his head jerked slightly to glance behind him. When his gaze landed on her a slow smile covered up his troubles and he shook his head. "Eh.. a bunch a' things." He said quietly, not wanting to expand on his problems toward Kianga this time. Perhaps because she was one of his problems, if only because he was still figuring things out. He felt for her, very much so. But he was sure in his mind that she was only interested in a friendship. And what of Nadra? He was being very unfair toward her... He sighed and shook his head a little, trying to rid himself of the thoughts for now. "I jus'ave a little 'eadache. Nothin' teh worry yet lil'ead over." He grinned at her.
His tail flicked and he felt his heart beat steadily increase as she sat so close to him, though not touching. He could still feel her body warmth in the chilly nigh air... "Where 'ave yeh been all day?" It was a curious question, certainly not demanding.

"Looks like it; also looks like you need a rest, doesn't it?" she'd not turned to look at him, but rather, her eyes remain on the stars above for a long while. She chuckled mildly as he spoke again, "It's not THAT lil.... been told I'm pretty bidheaded when I want to, you know."
A pause as she finaly turned to regard him in the darkness; her lids came to cover her eyes midway, her tail flicking, "I found something today," it was a response, but there was an almost sad tone to her voice, as if she were torn, "Something I thought I'd lost.... something I never thought I'd find again," she shook her head, figuring she wished to prolong the moment a bit further before getting down to laying the bare facts at him. She was beating around the bush; she knew that, but at the moment, she didn't particularly care, "What of Nadra?" it was a safer topic for her.

It was true, he'd been very tired lately but was having trouble sleeping. Everything just felt uncomfortable to him. Rest would come in due time, right now he still wanted to be awake though. "Sleep woul' be well bu' righ' now it do no' be in the picture." His head tilted and he glanced toward her. He laughed at her words and shook his head. "Nah, I do think i' be a goo' size." Not too small, not too big. He did not think of Kianga as big headed... actually except for when he had first met her.
His tail flicked and he had to look away as she was speaking. He words made him nervous but he was not sure why. Was she ready to go? Her paw had been well for a while now and he couldn't guess why she had stayed so long. "Ah, somethin' yeh los'... an' object?" He asked, ignoring her question at first. He highly doubted it was an object, but might as well play along.
He glanced to the den. Nadra was sleeping and for some reason that made Sawa very much at his ease. "Asleep." He finaly replied, his tone dangerously neutral about his mate.

"Lord praise your words," she murmured with a snort, then shook her head, unable to keep herself from smiling slightly, "Hopefuly I'll show that much to those that don't believe that," she let out a sigh and nudged him with a paw, "Regardless, you look like you could use a few moons of sleep... have you been sleeping well lately?" of course, she hadn't even guessed that she herself was part of his troubles.
Kianga liked him; she'd grown attatched. More than she cared to admit, even to herself, but there were things.... circumstances that kept her rooted. One of them slept in the den behind them. She'd tried to get along, and where she'd thought that perhaps it could all work out... she'd come to admit to herself that maybe, it just wasn't meant to be.
A mild chuckle escaped the pink female's maw, her head shaking from side to side; it was a bitter sound though, and she still looked torn, "No, hardly an object," she paused to look up to the sky... to the stars that shined down on them, "I found home," it was whispered to the stars above, and her violet eyes closed, her ear only flicking once towards the den briefly, "I never thought I'd find a pride like that, ever again..."

He smiled weakly and shook his head lightly. "Sleepin' terribly really." He admitted, frowning and glancing to the sky as well. "Thinkin' too much, is the problem. 'opefully i will get more sleep within the next coming weeks." Yes he could tell Nadra and... and refind himself. What he wanted and what it all meant to him... he'd have to, wouldn't he? He wished Siyo was still around, though he couldn't hope for advice for his troubles. Siyo would probably tell him something like he'd been digging his own grave from the start!
He couldn't help but feel his life was in a horrible mess right now, he'd dove into things way too quickly and... his thoughts trailed off when she mentioned a pride. So pride life was something Kianga wanted? He glanced sideways at her and worked a grin onto his face, there were no outword signs that he was unhappy about this. "Home, eh?" His tail flicked a little and his ears perked. "An' where be this 'ome Kianga?" Like that.... was there something particular about this pride? Should he ask about it? He didn't know much about prides in the first place...
"So... so yer gun' be leavin' then?"
