I am quite pleased with Keevia actually. But I'd like to know, if there is any spelling mystakes, logic mystakes or something like that in the profile and the overall opinion of him. Plus if anyone of you would happen to know something about leprosy (Need it for Keevias master. Like how long can a human live with untreated leprosy, how contageous it is, what does a leper look like, if it is contageous then how does it spread. Plus I've also heard, that people suffering under leprosy don't feel any pain) or poisons (I'd like to know about poisons that could be used on weapon blades and that kill quickly), it would be great help, if you'd tell me.

Name: Seigyoku Manako Keevia (prefers to be called by his last name)

Birth name: Asris Tancred

Gender: M A L E

Age: 21

Race: Human

Preferred world for playing with him: More-or-less medieval fantasy

Short version of his history: Is human. Was poor. Lived in city. Mother was lunatic, father was alcoholic. Killed his father, would have been linched by people. Mage Sirid saved him, also took care of his mother, until she commited suicide. Became Sirids bodyguard/assassin-thingie and Sirid gave him wings so that he would be more useful to him. Got into explosion. Got burn scars from there. Lost half of his wing and one eye. Sirid gave him the jewel eye, which doesn't have any magical powers. Works for Sirid.

Past and other: (WARNING: Slightly fried emo story in violence flavoured sauce and I’m not even sure, if it’s very genious or very lame) Keevia was born in a big city, in rather poor family under a different name. His name was then Asris Tancred. His family was sometimes caring, sometimes so cruel, that it bringed shivers on spine. His father had rather bad living habits and he drank often and when he drank he became violent, though he beated Keevias mother rarely, maybe only, when she tried to protect Keevia. Keevia was a rather ordinary poor child (next is a quote from Keevias history-story thingie smile

Asris was rather short, according to appearance he was 13, though in reality he was two years older. Boy was skinny, his face dirty, but in some way beautiful. Strong chin was queerly contrasted with frightened chocolate-brown deer eyes. Hair were in ,,pillowstyle’’, hirsute, messy, looking like a dead hedgehog and youngster wore reddish overcoat, with a shirt under it, made from tied bagcloth. His feet were squeezed into far too small shoes, when he tried to sneak into the rented appartment as silently, as he could.

When he was 14 something happened to his mother. She disappeared. After a week of searching they found her, though she was completely changed – her hair had turned gray, she had shadows under her eyes and from that time on, his mother was a human wrack, who sat most of the time in corner, sometimes pendulated from one side to another and watching into nothingness with frightened eyes. His mother ate and drank, when they gave her food and drink, she watched right into the eye, but didn’t listen, moved her lips, but didn’t talk and most of her conversations she made with herself, while asleep. And on her back, under the skin, below the shoulder blades there were two slightly s-shaped lumps.
After what happened to his mother Keevias father turned even more violent and spent all the money he could get on alcohol, so that young Keevia didn’t have any other choice but to put his little size into use.
He joined with some other youngster and started to rob houses. Break in. No-one could compare to him. Getting in, taking what he saw and getting out. There were a few times, when he standed face-to-face with house owners, but he managed to get away and after giving away or selling everything he got he went back home, where he beared his fathers yelling and beating, but at the same time Keevia couldn’t leave home forever, because he was sure, that his father couldn’t take care for his mother, letting her die of starvation, though his mother didn’t seem to recognise anyone anymore.
In the middle of Keevias 15th life-year he ended up going into his home, when his father was extremely angry, because Keevias face was on the wanted-post. Father was tried to attack him with knife and this was followed by a fight. Keevia got into panic and stabbed his father. Then was the first time over a year when Keevias mother acted as if she knew what was going on around her, because, when she saw blood she started to scream ,,Sirid! Sirid! Take him away!’’ and she screamed the words until the houseowner came to see, what was going on and found Keevia next to his fathers corpse, a knife in his hand and clothes covered in blood. He would have been linched by people, if there weren’t have been a guard near his home, who was against it and took Keevia to prison. At first they wanted to hang him for a murder, but then they saw the wanted-announcement and then they wanted to torture Keevia to tell them about other robbers. Keevia was already accepted that he was probably going to die, when a stranger with very long coat came into prison. It was not possible to tell by her/his voice, whether he/she was male, or female, or even how old he was. He took Keevia with him, probably giving judges enough money for them to exculpate Keevia.
That someone introduced himself as Sirid. Ofcourse Keevia knew, who he was, because in his city and lands around it Sirid was rather famous name. No-one knew exactly what did he look like, but he lived in a huge mansion outside the city walls. And there were rumours, that he was a mighty mage. He said, that Keevia has natural talent and he needs Keevias services. He promised to give Keevia angelic ability – to fly. He promised, that he gives Keevia the best foods, drinks, much money and clothes made of best fabrics he could afford. He promised to give him a new name, new identity, but wants for return, that Keevia will work for him, until Sirid promises him to go.
Keevia was not sure, should he agree with the deal, or not. He mentioned Sirid about his ill mother and that he doesn’t know, where she is and mage promised, that he will deal with it. And he kept his promise, re-found Keevias mother and put her to live in one of the many rooms in mansion. But when she saw Sirids house she started to panic for no apparent reason and it seemed, that she hated that place.
That wasn’t a good sign anymore, that she understands, what goes on around her and Keevia needed to stay by her side day and night and didn’t go much time, until his mother was moved to a room without windows, so she couldn’t jump out from anywhere.
Sirid gave Asris Tancred a new name – Manako Keevia and from that time on Keevia is trying to keep this name. One reason for that is because officialy Asris is still a criminal.
And Sirid kept his promises. Asris’ skinny and exhausted body healed thanks to the help of good foods and drinks, his skin was now covered with silk and velvet and in the beginning he didn’t need to do anything else, than keep his body in shape and be introduced with Mr. Comb biggrin
But then the real transforming began.
It surprised Keevia, that even in his own home Sirid never showed himself. He was serious person, who didn’t want to talk without purpose and it was even hard to determine his gender.Anyway he had black hair reaching ‘til his shoulderblades and he never wore anything revealing or clinging making it impossible to see, whether or not he/she had body curves and he always wore a golden-green mask with peacock feather on it.
First seances lasted only for about five-ten minutes. Sirid said, that when Keevia gets wings he might loose his hair, but they will be replaced by lovely feathers. I don’t want to talk about details of seances (mostly because I myself don’t know them), but in the beginning, when first changes were starting to take place, it hurt. Keevias hair grew gray and day-by-day he started to feel his wings forming. There came two slightly s-shaped bumps on his back, under shoulderblades. The seances became longer. Half an hour. Then an hour. And Keevias beautiful brown strands grew white and took a new shape. Last séance lasted almost one and a half days and then it was at last finished.
The wings had been invaded through skin below shoulderblades. They were indeed lovely and white, with brown stripes on some of them. And he had same looking feathers on his head and as he saw it he wasn’t disturbed by his looks. He was happy, how he lookes and now he could get to work for Sirid.
Then he understood, why Sirid needed him so much.
Sirid needed someone to invade and someone to be his personal assassin. Thinking about killing scared Keevia at first, but he started his first little job quietly. At first he didn’t have to kill anyone, just had to get some things Sirid needed and it was ok, until the situation stays so.
Having wings he could make disappear was a big bonus, especially, when he tied them black with soot – then he could fly through the night, like a huge, black bat. He learned to fly real quick, though he wasn’t allowed to do it near Sirids mansion, so that no-one could associate him with the mage.
But at the same time there happened a very sad incident. After seeing changed Keevia his mother was strucked by one of her panic-sprees, that had become common after moving to Sirids and the same night she commited suicide by braking a vase and using it’s sharp shards on her wrist.
Keevia drowned his mourning in his work and did his first assassin-job silently and without arguing, like a professional.
Four years he worked for the mage and started to honour and trust him endlessly. Sirids word was the rule. Sirids order was the law and his wish was always the right thing to do.
But once Sirid overestimated Keevia and sent him to assassinate, while not mentioning, that the victim was going to be another mage.
The mage wasn’t yet fallen asleep and Keevia started to fight with him, to complete his mission at all cost, but scared and angry mage made an explosion, that blew off half of the wall and sent Keevia away with a long flight.
He does not remember the next part and memories about the fight are also foggy, because everything happened fast, but anyway Sirids servants found him in the snow a kilometre away from the burning house, half death, half of his wing gone and right body half burned, especially torso, where it seemed the clothes had caught fire, but being extinguished by snow. But the fact, that Keevia was found almost a kilometre away from the house proves, that he was able to walk after the explosion. According to footprints in the end he almost crawled, to – no matter what, get away from the house. And what happened with the wing is unknown, because no-one found it after the explosion. It’s likely, that it was turn off in the explosion, but then his bones should be rather broken into pieces, but they weren’t. In fact concussion injuries were rather little. A few broken ribs and arm, which ofcourse were still hurting like hell. More problems were created by burn scars. Keevia even didn’t ask Sirid, if he could make them disappear, because in his bottomless respect he was sure, that if Sirid could, then he would do it, and because he didn’t he couldn’t. He still treated some more serious wounds and healed them enouch so that they couldn’t affect Keevias life anymore. And he healed everything, except infection forming in Keevias right eye and in the end they had to remove it.
Sad, but true. Scars healed, but didn’t disappear and one they Sirid did Keevia a special gift – the jewel-eye. Keevia can’t see with it, or doesn’t he know it to have any magical virtues, though he asked the mage about any powers of the jewel. And Sirid said, that even, when the jewel has any spell or powers Keevia must find it out by himself.
Keevia was in the beginning afraid, that now, when he is unable to fly he will be useless to the mage and will be tossed aside, but mage continued to work with him, as if nothing had happened, only that Keevia was not the one anymore being sent to roof appartments. For that Sirid created Ario, whom I don’t find any point to talk about, because he doesn’t have many importance and I won’t bring him in in any roleplay. But Keevia can still stalk, sneak and kill, so he isn’t yet completely useless. biggrin

Appearance: Rather short (about 1 metre 60 centimetres (about 5 feet, if I'm not wrong?), but n o t abnormally short, like a dwarf or something. Body is not very tanned, because he doesn't like to expose his skin very much. He has white weathers instead of his hair, but his eyebrows are brown, like his original hair. He likes to wear greyish pants, with long boots, though the pants cover the footwear mostly. He also wears a dark violet shirt with long sleeves and few darkblue stripes and grape pattern on it. Shirt is opened from its back allowing wings to spread out. He can make his wings disappear. He is not able to fly with them anymore. If he looses control over himself (panics, looses contious, dies, falls to sleep), then his wings will come back. Over the violet shirt he wears a brown leather jacket-thingy, that mostly covers the back of the shirt. He takes it off, when he is about to make his wings visible. Sometimes also wears a long, darkgreen scarf. Sometimes, when he doesn't want people to know his face he also wears a dull brown cloak with hood. Burn scars are covering the right side of the body. They start above the right eyebrow, move lower, over his jewel eye, slightly touching the right side of his nose and mouth, ending on the jawline, only to start again on the neck. Scars run over his shoulder and arms, until the hands and also over his chest and stomach, ending at hips. There are some less-noticeable burn marks on his legs, but they are not as bad, because the pants he wore while the accident happened did not take fire that easily and were thicker ^^ He also has two daggers. One of them is longer. He wears it under his cloak, or attached to his jacket, in case he isn't wearing cloak. The other dagger is short, unnoticeable, but deadly poisonous, covered with poison from upas tree. He wears it in his left boot as a secret weapon.

About personality and other stuff...
I am not sure, because my characters personality seems to change according to what the game is. For him there is only one god - mage Sirid. I think he maybe feel uncomfortable near women, because he hasn't socialized with them much. He does not sleep well. I mean it's not like he will wake up on every sound, but you can often tell what he is dreaming by looking him, because he sometimes crys, laughs, moans, talks and moves in his sleep.

Sorry for making you read so much text ^^ His full biography was like 3,5 A4 pages long.

Maybe I should also note, that he can't read nor write, is rather uneducated, having been grown up in a poor family, living in medieval fantasy and so on.

Well, there are sooooo many poisons out there, that really all you have to do is look it up on Google and find one that suits your cause best.
However, you dont' want to do that, otherwise you wouldn't be asking for help.
Which is why I'm here. And now that we've stated the obvious, I'm going to help you.

My favorite out of all the common, organic poisons out there is the oleander. It's a native plant in several states, and by far one of the most lethal. Every part of the plant is poisonous, and the symptoms leading up to the actual death are quite painful. Wikipedia is where I learned most of my facts on oleander.

I don't know anything about leprosy, though. Sorry.

I can personally tell you about a very deadly poison that works quickly. It comes in two forms. However, it is hand made, and thus you are not likely to find anything like it to be bought. What you do is take the pits and seeds of a few fruits (Plums, peaches, apples, etc.), then take the seeds out of the pits, and the other seeds from the other fruits and grind them into a fine powder and mix them well. That is the first form, which is deadly and harmful in its own right. You can add water or pretty much any other liquid (prefferably another poison) to it to make it into a type of paste, which can be applied directly to weapons and other objects.

To Orgrin Doomhammer: Are you being sarcastic or is that really a poison? I mean I've eaten apple seeds, I'm still alive. And as much as I know plums and peaches don't have seeds, they have stones (ok, maybe you call those things in plums and peaches ''seeds'' in english, then sorry, it's just that we have two different words for them in estonian).

Ugh...sorry. I searched the word ''hirsute'' out from online estonian-english-estonian dictionary. It was said to be kind of the same as ''messy''. I don't trust that online dictionary. It feeds me that kind of words which most native englishpeople have never heard of, plus it once said that ''yawn'' and ''moan'' mean the same biggrin
And pillowstyle... in the estonian version of his lifestory it was ''padjasoeng'' and...well, you know, if you go to sleep and wake up, then your hair is really messy, especially when that hair is not long (but at the same time it isn't short). The point is, that his hair looked as if it hadn't seen a comb for quite some time.

EDIT: *google image searches the word ''hirsute''*
EDIT2: *get's a lot of pr0n in answer, is mentally scarred for life*
EDIT3: Please stop queteing Keevias whole past, ktnx.
EDIT4: Why is the word ''he'' striked through in tha quotation?
PostPosted: Sat Jan 26, 2008 2:08 pm

Which one? There were a lot of 'he's that I striked out.
And I'm only going to keep editing that one quote. Just FYI.

Well apple seeds are supposed to have arsenic in them, but since you're not dead, you can leave that out of the equation if you want. Yes, plums and peaches have seeds, but they're inside the pit, which is very hard. If you don't care how strong the poison is, then I guess you could grind the whole pit into a fine powder, but it's more potent if you take the seeds.

@Chancless: Sorry, I wasn't aware that you weren't finished, so I underlined the word I thought you missed. I only did that because there was a sentence that was left with "became" as the beggining word.

Are you sure? I still don't think that seeds are dangerous. They are not supposed to kill. Plus as much as I know arsenic doesn't kill quickly. Arsenic poisoning is slow, assassins have to be quite patient and probably they have to poison their victim multible times (like poisoning their tea or sugar). I would need a poison that kills in a matter of minutes, or at least makes the victim feel horrible or make him immobile in the matter of minutes (I know that, because I searched about arsenic from wikipedia, because one of my other characters has survived arsenic poisoning).

Yes, I am sure. The powder version can be used to "flavor" a drink or be blown into someones eyes if you need an escape. The paste, as I said before, can be applied to various weapons, such as arrow or spear heads, swords, knives, and other such things. I have done my research, and know this sounds strange, otherwise, if a lot of people knew about it, such fruits wouldn't be sold whole, rather in preserved slices.

And just to throw this out there, Wikipedia is a site where anyone can just go in and change stuff as they please, as long as they've been a member for a day. So I wouldn't rely too hevaily on the site if you're looking for straight, absloute facts.

There are plenty of other sources out there. A good way to look for facts is to look for websites that have [dot]edu or something like that at the end, other then [dot]com. [dot]edu means the site is out there for educational purposes.

As for Leprosy... that's not a favourite topic of mine, but I'll give it my best shot:

((BTW, it's also known as Hansen's Disease))

Quote:
Like how long can a human live with untreated leprosy

Don't know this one. Sorry

Quote:
how contageous it is

Well, I couldn't find much, but after three months of treatment, you shouldn't infect someone else

Quote:
what does a leper look like

Their skin is all broken up and all... you have a stuffed nose, and skin lesions and nodules...

Here's a pic
Leprosy

Quote:
if it is contageous then how does it spread

The virus enters through the nose and broken skin.

Quote:
Plus I've also heard, that people suffering under leprosy don't feel any pain

Apparently, that's true

Oh, a little tip to throw in~
It's much neater if you actually separate the paragraphs.
        I know they're different paragraphs but the way you made it kinda makes it hard to read >>;
        For me, that is.
It's easier if you do it like this-
note: corrected a few things Chanceless didn't get to correct yet :3

        Quote:
Keevia was not sure of whether or not to agree with the deal. He mentioned Sirid to his ill mother and that he doesn’t know, where she is and mage promised, that he will deal with it. And he kept his promise, re-found Keevias mother and put her to live in one of the many rooms in mansion. But when she saw Sirid's house, she started to panic for no apparent reason and it seemed that she hated that place.

That wasn’t a good sign anymore; that she understands what goes on around her. Keevia needed to stay by her side day and night and. Time passed and his mother was moved to a room without windows so she couldn’t jump out from anywhere.

Sirid gave Asris Tancred a new name – Manako Keevia. From that time on Keevia is trying to keep this name. One reason for that is because officially, Asris is still a criminal.

And Sirid kept his promises. Asris’ skinny and exhausted body healed thanks to the help of good foods and drinks. His skin was now covered with silk and velvet and in the beginning, he didn’t need to do anything else than keep his body in shape and be introduced with Mr. Comb.

But then the real transforming began.

It surprised Keevia that even in his own home, Sirid never showed himself. He was a serious person ; one who didn’t want to talk without purpose and it was even hard to determine his gender.Anyway He had black hair reaching up to his shoulder blades and . He never wore anything revealing or clinging making it impossible to see whether or not he/she had body curves and he always wore a golden-green mask with peacock feather on it.

First seances lasted only for about five to ten minutes. Sirid said that when Keevia gets wings he might loose his hair, but they will be replaced by lovely feathers. I don’t want to talk about details of seances (mostly because I myself don’t know them), but in the beginning, when first changes were starting to take place, it hurt. Keevia's hair grew gray and day-by-day he started to feel his wings forming. There came two slightly s-shaped bumps on his back, under his shoulder blades. The seances became longer: Half an hour. Then an hour. And Keevia's beautiful brown strands grew white and took a new shape[do describe this new shape]. The last séance lasted almost one and a half days and then it was at last, finished.
