Okay people, I know at least a few of you are listening to this and no doubt a few even bothered to vote.
List what you voted for and where it came, and how about you try to guess as many top ten songs as you can, including the number 1.
M.I.A - Paper Planes
I like the chorus, so shoot me[/pun]
Regina Spektor - Real Love 29
Pure awesome song, should make early teens
Well ********, it made it to 29 as I was typing this out. Further proof people suck.
Angus & Julia Stone - Wasted 31
Kinda disappointed this did so badly, only 31, but good solid song.
Cat Empire - No Longer There 62
So Many Nights is less sombre, but buggerit, I like the Cat Empire and I like this song.
Chemical Brothers - The Salmon Dance 21
This will be top 10, probably top 3. You watch.

Boy do I suck at predicting, but on the plus side, Straight Lines came in at number 2! That makes me happy because it means they didn't win lol

the entire b*****d system is ******** class="clear"> Straight Lines came #2 and #1 was a song who's main source of exposure was being in Guitar Hero 3.
Pretty much sums it up doesn't it? So many good songs this year and most of them didn't break the 20 mark.

I voted for those Feist and Cat Empire songs too. I also voted for Clare Bowditch & The Feeding Set and Sarah Blasko. Um, and I think Tegan and Sara, Arctic Monkeys...

Well I voted for Karnivool, Muse, The Cat Empire and The Butterfly Effect. I can't really remember what others I voted for. I'm not sure if I can find out either. Meeeh.

It was weird this year. A lot of songs I thought would do well didn't really (e.g. Feist and Salmon Dance) And then there were hardly any artists getting multiple songs in (E.G, expected M.I.A, Chemical Brothers, Klaxons etc to get at least 2 in). Still wasn't too bad though. Any year Powderfinger don't win is a good year for me.
And jeez, with a prize like what they were offering, you'd be an idiot NOT to vote.

I think the problem this year was too many options.
Also, I really regret not setting up some massive campaign to vote for Still Alive from Portal. It would have been awesome if it won xd
