((Hurrah for excessive subject lines!))
Ah...it had been long, very long now. When had he lost fought? No, nothing as simple as that question. When had he last truly fought, as an equal to his opponent, evenly matched with balance? "How the millenia pass...well, when you're having fun, I suppose. But crushing enemies underfoot has grown to be a...vexing task, in it's monotony. This will be diffirent." With those words, the clouds let the moon free from their grasp, illuminating the seen. High atop a massive, rotting ruin, no doubt the defiled and broken ruins of some ancient cathedral, now but a few soaring towers left above the jumble of stone. And yet, it seemed that the place still stood, for the remaining towers showed none of the delapidation that had wrought the rest down to the foundations. Someone yet lived here, and kept these ruins well. Who was it? Well, one might chance to catch the glint of moonlight on white bone as he grinned, standing loosely atop one of the towers, his left arm draped about a banner, not part of the ancient stones, but well secured to them. The man had the restful, thretening aire(sp?) of a panther, calmly hanging there as he surveyed the grounds he considered his own. His brilliant white teeth shone in the dull moonlight, glinting along the elongated curves of his canines. Aye, a vampire this man, one too powerful for such, among vampires, youth. A hand slowly curved up, adjusting the glossy black mop of silken hair atop his head, uncovering his face some. The typical, pale skin, and dark, bottomless eyes, knowing and full of hatred for everything he knew. As the wind grew stronger, his cloak billowed out behind him, a dark and tattered mockery of the banner he hung from, two simplistic and finely made silver clasps sown into the side of it, identical to the third which bound it at his throat. The man wore but black silk, excluding his lily-white shirt, worn under a loose silekn jacket. Nothing marred the image of decayed elegance, not even the huge, ugly bulk of the military style boots he wore, all coverred in silver clasps, with an iron framework on the soles.
((<.< >.> How's that, Torment?))

((>.> Just don't expect all my posts to be this long >.>))
Embers of azure flame floated upon the winds as the shadows themselves waivered at the coming of The Firebird. They flared up into existance as little more than a lightshow, fanfare, as it were, to herald his coming. Though it was long before the thought of the coming dawn would enter the mind, the horizon began to glowa deep blue that slowly became brighter as if our very own star were indeed rising at a time very unlike its normal pattern. A flash filled the line where the earth and sky met as a pillar of azure flame rose up high into the sky in an arc.
The Firebird carried with him a light that rivaled that of the day, without the same ill effects for the stalkers of the night. He passed overhead as the embers whipped up into a frenzy of swirling light, rising ever higher, reaching towards the skies. The frenzied dance reached a climax as The Firebird reached the opposing horizon, and then died out as the flash once again filled the skies.
In a less than dazzling display the actual man, Torment Nusradai, The Azure Phoenix, descended from above in the dim glow of his two vibrant purple wings, wreathed in the cool blue flames of elysium. He touched down with the clomp of his blood red military style boots, crouching for a moment to lessen the impact of the short fall to land on the tower for only a moment. He glanced up through a sheet of silvery locks that passed before one eye, his purple eyes glowing for a moment as a smirk crossed his face.
After taking a look at this abomination of a man, Torment slowly stood, floating above the surface upon which he had landed, pulling away from the undead monstrosity slightly. His loose grey shirt came alive in the winds as a pair of slim shades pulled themselves up from sitting half inside a single compartment of the many scattered across his deep blue cargo pants. The shades flipped open and settled themselves in their rightful place as two small white balls of fluff twitched high atop his head. His voice seemed rather calm, in an almost egotistical sort of way, "An interesting place, to be sure, abomination."

Enline grinned at the display, shaking his head ever so slightly. Aye, once he had been known for such displays of power and grandeur, but no more. A wasted effort, such introduction. "Pah, you are one to speak of abomination, my friend. The willing dead are not abominable, for it is our choice to betray the light of day. If you must call't abomination, find one that was forced into it, and you will speak the truth. No abomination am I, sir. One cannot marr((sp?)) perfection." His teeth glinted as he flasheda quick grin as he straightened his hair once more. Reaching down with silvery gloved hand, he pulled at the hilt of his blade, a rapier like item with three edges, a pyramid elongated beyond reason. Satisfied that it slid from the sheat with ease, he looked back to Nusradai, bracing himself for a sudden movement. "As such...you think to challenge the Lord de Merus in his own manor?"

((Random Note: Tor isn't usually so righteous with undead slaying, especially with vampires, but meh.))
Tor folded his arms before him with a bit of a defiant look, "Undead, willing or not, are not meant for this existance. I have created far too many in my days, and need to help repair what I've done. Some abominations I have created are beyond anything you can know. Will you go quietly, or must I unleash the fires of Elysium upon thee?" In one hand an orb of smoking blue energy no larger than 3 inches in diameter began to form, while the other hand began to glow as white wisps began to gather in his palm with a viscous mass of energy.

"Beyond anything that I know? I should like to meet them some day, and amuse myself with the sound they make underfoot. Do not eb so sure of yourself, my friend, for the undead would not exist if they were for another realm. How do YOU explain the massive forces that suddenly find themselves held in check when the dead walk? No one makes them hold still, you know, these primal forces of nature? They do it quite well on their own. I am one who was meant to die in fallacy, I am of those undead intended for this world. No mage nor sire held the forces that govern death still for me, they passed me over and released me, a diffirent being. I suppose, in the end, I must be some sort of tool. To what end would that be?" His eyes focusing on the mans hands for but a moment, Ebline's arm suddenly unwound from around the banner, moving like a snake as he slid off the tower, vanishing into the shadows below. The quiet shnk of metal on metal floated up from below, and was swallowed in silence...

As the Orb of Acid completed itself Torment released it into the air to slowly orbit him in the same fashion as the crimson point of light. Tor set down on the tower for a moment as the white wisps and viscous mass of energy darted out to lodge or wrap itself somewhere about the top of the tower much similar to a grappling hook. Both active components of the Soul Forge, Tor's wings and the newly formed manriki-gusari, began to shine with light as a unit of spell energy was consumed to simulate a Light spell. While it wasn't strong enough to do anything but light up the surroundings of the Soul Forge like a roaring flame, it would last somewhere in the range of several hours, or until dismissed. With the dimly glowing white chain secured, Tor leaped off the side to travel down at his own pace, new links growing in the chain to regulate speed. He could have gotten down easier through flight or levitation, but this way expended less effort and would give Tor more light to illuminate the shadows below in his descent.

Silent, Ebline waited well outside the light, masked by the shadows of an altar long ago defiled. He would bide his time for now, carefully looking over the links of Tor's magic, learning as much about it as he could in the time given him. With luck, he would find the binding links of these spells, and with that knowledge tear them free in a light twisting of energy, releasing the arcane energies they held in check. And then, with a simple spell of his own design, he would be free of all restriction, of the carefully wound rope that bound his rage. His hunger would work for itself, and he would feast upon the blood of this man until the sun rose, glistening on the blood soaked stones of this terrible landscape.

When Tor touched down the light would remain, but the chain would alter slightly, the scythe head unlatching from above and quickly falling to the Archmagi below. The chain was shortened to a managable length as the Orb continued it's orbit. Shar, the point of light, now seemed to be missing, where to was another matter. He was, in fact, searching for Ebline, or anyone really, casting a dim red glow over his surroundings. Tor followed suit, although being a bit more cautious in his search, chain at the ready.
