Okay, I know you guys are getting sick of this by now, but the rules here are the same as the main rules for the guild.

Okay, since I don't RP, I'll have to let my guild-captain, Divine Martyr, help set things up and create more specific rules. If any of you would like to help, then fell free to do so. (Just ask me or him first sweatdrop )

Divine, when you're ready to make some rules, then just edit this post or create a new one underneath this one.

Alright My rules are very simple first of all if you want to Rp

If you want to use an already existing character you need to ask me and let me know before hand, so I can remember not to alow someone else the right to use that character.

I will use another post to put down the character sheets so you can make an individual character if you feel the need to.

Basic Rules

There are some very simple rules you should know when you start role playing. These are the rules that make and break a game.

1. When you go Out Of Character, note that. Use an OOC notice before the out of character post you want to make. You can also use BIC (Back In Character) to signal that you continue as your character again, but it's optional.

2. Use clean and correct writing. Meaning that you look after your grammar, build-up, and all that.

3. Make your post a worthy one. Don't go making posts of one or two rules. It's not so that every post you make should be two paragraphs long, but try to go for at least a bit of a decent effort when writing.

4. No God-moding. Your character is not invincible, and his chakra is not endless. Play out both the strength and weakness of your character, and don't go on a power trip.

5. No sudden character killings. You can't just go and kill another person's character. If you want to, or think the story might require this, talk to the owner of that character in private or through PM to discuss what's gonna happen.

6. Character types. Players are allowed one bloodline character within their first five characters. Clan characters are limitless, however.

7. Explicit content.

Since there are many minors on Gaia, whenever you are in a thread that has something that can be considered to be explicit or exceedingly mature, be sure to give a warning of such content. This is basically any crude or vile act, such as intense violence in detail, rape, cruelty that many would find offending, and vulgar language. Basically, anything you wouldn't see on regular television, don't post here without a warning. Some children could run across something they have seen in this Guild and be very unnattracted to it by some offense that they may take to it, so a warning would be needed.

Basic Combat Rules

This little list of guidelines is designed to let you know if you are being fought fairly, and if you yourself are abusive in combat.

Note: Most of this applies to one on one combat. The guidelines that apply to massive battles will be marked as such.

The number one, most important rule: Do not call your hits. It is essentially a form of playing your opponent's character when you say that your Katon Ryuuka smashes into their character. Describe the attempt, even write up the factors going against the opponent being able to dodge, but in the end, the choice of getting hit or not lays with the opponent. Always. A mod or admin will step in if a dodge is excessive.

Rule Two: It goes hand in hand with rule number one. Combat is about give and take, not just take. If you dodge everything, with ease, in a battle with someone of the same rank, there might be a problem. Part of give and take is admitting when you are disadvantaged. Rank is an important factor. A Genin might be able to fight with a Chuunin, but he is disadvantaged. A Genin fighting a Jounin ranked Shinobi is practically doomed to lose.

Rule Three: One attack. That is what a fighting post should consist of. Combat is a chess match, you do not take multiple turns in chess. Feel free to add dialogue, thoughts, feelings, descriptions, and such to your combat post. But do not exceed one attack per post unless your opponent has given you permission to perform a combo. When you state that your character performs this, and then that, and finishes with a last technique, you are also saying that your opponent stood there and did nothing while you were being flashy with your techniques. That is a definite abuse.

Rule Four: Group Combat. Clones, summons, these things are bound by one attack rule as well. Now, here is the deal with many vs. one combat. If everything you control is attacking, you need to specify either an order ("the kage bunshin attacked with X, then the summon did Y, finally the character finished with Z") or state that they are all attacking at the same time ("kage bunshin did X, summon did Y, and character did Z, all converging on the opponent".) Note: keep in mind that if you are attacking the same person at the same time, one good dodge will evade the attacks. I've seen a whole lot of "there was no way he could dodge all of these" when the truth of the matter is that if everyone is headed for one specific point, all a character has to do is not be at that point to avoid being hit.

Rule Four, sub1: Dodging a Group When attacked by a group, try to account for the fact that it is significantly harder to dodge a succession of attacks. Unless there is a decent rank difference, many on one is almost always disadvantageous for the one. Play accordingly.

Rule Five: If you use Kanashibari or something of the sort that paralyzes your opponent, and then slay him/her, expect a less than pleasant note in your inbox. Please consider other RPrs and be nice. Note: feel free to use such techniques against clones, summons, etc.

Okay, this is for me to know more about your character and keep it neat and non God-moded. NO MATTER WHAT please be reasonable, try to keep yourselfs rational. I am lucrative on the spelling and grammar but if I can't even read this then how am I gonna be able to read your post if you actually start to Rp.

Character Creation Rules

Bloodlines, bijuu, or any other post-human characteristics are frowned upon. People too often use post-human abilities as a crutch for their character, instead of being clever and original. Using any pre-existing clans is a bad idea, in general, as it often can interfere with canon. Ultimately, expect any usage of the above listing to come under heavy scrutiny. And remember - this rule applies to clones, as well. Even if you're not an Uchiha, having abilities that allow you to do the exact same things is still prohibited.

Stay inside Naruto. This is not Dragon Ball Z, this is not Harry Potter, and it is not any other story. Remember how the world works in Naruto and build your character around it. Kamehameha waves or something analogous to them are a surefire way to get your character denied.

*NOTE: Be reasonable. Don't have techniques that you just shouldn't have. Like, if you aren't a Hyuuga then you obviously can't have the Divine Strikes since that would require the Byukugan... So please, think before you pick your techniques.

Jutsu limits: To keep from having powerplayers we have made a few limits on Jutsu's, this is so you can LEARN, yes LEARN, new jutsu as you go on.

Genin: 6 Jutsu max, unless they are older then it can be bumped up to 10.
Chuunin: 10 Max, unless over mid-twenties.
Jounin: No limit.

When you are finished, go ahead and place your bio in the Registry thread so it may be approved.

Character Pilot: (State your Gaian name.)
Name: (The full name of your character. Please be mindful that it should be a Japanese name. It's optional to display the name meaning, but a nice touch. If you would like to invent a name, this may be very helpful to you.)
Age: (Self explanatory. Please be realistic with the age when assigning your character a ninja rank.)
Sex: (Male, female, or somewhere in between?)

+Shinobi Information+

Country: (Here's a reference for you.)
Village: (Reference.)
Rank: (Academy ninja, Genin, Chuunin or Jounin?)
Division: (If part of any. Of course, this is optional and you may be very creative with this.)

+Inheritance+ (This section is entirely optional.)

Clan: (Note that usually the clan's name is almost always the character's last name. In this category you should describe the clan's specialties, politics, brief history, lifestyle, etc. that you may want others to know about.)
Bloodline: (If he/she even has a bloodline, explain its power in detail. BE REASONABLE.)

+Physical Information+

Height: (Inches are preferred, and take heed that the Naruto World is indeed and oriental setting, meaning that the characters are usually shorter than U.S. standards, but it's up to you.)
Weight: (Be realistic and apply the character's height and age when considering a weight. Common fact, muscle weighs more than fat.)
Appearance: (Please inform the wide spectrum, such as eyes, skin, build, attractiveness, hair and so on.)
Attire: (The character's clothing. When designing an outfit, you must consider where he/she may keep his/her ninja gear and where the forehead protector is located. Here you may also include any accessories/jewelry.)

+Character Information+

Demeanor: (The character's personality. How might he/she act around others? Might he/she have any disorders?)
Nindo 'Way of the Ninja': (Briefly describe your characters nindo, what it is they believe to be most important which they live by day to day.)
Inventory: (List the character's weapons, tools, aids, heirlooms, documents or other articles that he/she usually keeps close by.)
Pet(s): (If any at all. Name and describe your pet(s) here.)
Biography: (This is where you should definitely get detailed. This is the most important part of the character sheet. You should write a reasonably long account of the characters history and how they came to be who they are today.)

+Statistics+ (Again, be reasonable, and consider your rank and physical status especially. Academy ninja stats can range from 1 - 10, Genin from 10 - 20, Chuunin from 20 - 30, Jounin from 30 - 50, Legendary from 50 - 60. The middle of each stat range is indeed the average.
Also, you can have below the range if your character really sucks at those skills, you can also have stats HIGHER then the range, you just need permission and good reason. If your character sucks at fighting then we admins can understand why a Genin has 28 Chakra since his Strength is 5. You just have to be reasonable. )

Physical
Strength: (The physical amount of strength and brawn.)
Speed: (How fast the character can move?)
Stamina: (The character's durability.)

Mental
Intelligence: (How smart?)
Tactics: (Cleverness and craft in making strategies in battle.)
Willpower: (Determination level.)

Chakra
Power: (How much chakra is normally used?)
Control: (The character's ability to manipulate chakra.)
Reserves: (Any hidden potential or reserved power?)

+Technique List+ (As a rule, Genin may learn up to six jutsus, Chuunin up to ten, and Jounin is unlimited. Also, if you need help on jutsus, or have a lack of ideas, please go on to the Roleplay Information and Rules section and read the Country bios. In each thread is a vast list of native jutsus.)
