I really really loved Hope. She did her job well by being a villain that you hated. Her and Calli made a good team. hahaha.
I don't know why but this video always makes me feel bad for her. Caution, though. There's some pretty colorful language.

We can't really establish if someone is totally bad or totally good. It's not that simple. Therefore, I do feel sorry at moments for her but I still remember her actions in killing Solan. It was a vengeful crime.
I blame Xena for trying to kill her as a baby. I couldn't believe that Xena, a mother who has a child, would kill a infant even if it signs did prove to Hope being evil. I would be vengeful if someone wanted to kill me, too. Hope had every right to dislike Xena but I still think her 'hate' was wrong. (lol But I think most hate is wrong)

See, this is where I start to agree with Gabrielle's thinking, which is probably why I sympathized with her so much through this season. I don't think children are born evil. Hope was born from an evil, sadistic god, so I guess that makes her a special case. Then again, she was only half god. Perhaps if she was given the chance, Xena and Gabrielle could have helped her over come her more... demonic... half. Of course, I don't think Gabrielle could have ever killed her own child, not only because of her tendency to see the good in everyone, but also because of that maternal connection she had. Kind of like Xena with Eve/Livia.
That's why it's really hard for me to make judgements about the Eve/Livia arc. Why should Livia, who had a chance to be good and chose to be evil, be given a second chance while Hope wasn't? You can't really argue that it's because she didn't come from an evil God. Half of her was from Callisto, after all, and Xena wasn't always so big on the Greater Good. Why does Livia get to be redeemed instead of killed? Just because she's Xena's daughter?
I'm not sure if I was really able to make my point. It's kind of a touchy subject for me when it comes to that show. lol. I guess the point is, I like the fact that Xena was kind of shown what Gabrielle was going through when she was told that her daughter was pure evil.
If you can't see my point, don't worry. I don't see it either. lol. Perhaps there isn't one. I just felt like getting that off of my chest.

adfasdf Livia/Eve just pissed me off. Just because she went a little crazy doesn't make her less evil. Callisto was more than a little crazy but she was still considered evil.

Hope, on the other hand, was seen as a vessel for evil and was never given a chance to see if she could overcome that. While I know that she ended up being an evil, evil girl and that she caused a lot of problems between Gabrielle and Xena, there's still the chance that things could have turned out differently. I think it would have been better if they skipped the whole Dahok thing altogether and just had Gabrielle deal with her very first kill... but I guess that will never happen.
