[PRP] Soldiers Don't Play In The Snow! D: *Taipa & Chidi*

[Lunadriel]

The clouds rolled across the sky quickly. Even without any wind blowing on the ground below. The lands were covered in an erie silence as they waited for it to begin snowing.

The sun still showed it's face through openings in the fluffy white, keeping it's eye below. When the snow started to fall, it was very loose, and almost chunky. With the warm sun, and the movement of the clouds, there just wasn't much threat of a heavy snow fall.

Hok'ee always stepped out in the morning, to survey the land, then returned to his mate. If weather, and the lack of strangers permitted, then of course the foals were allowed to frolic close to home.

Hok'ee ducked his head back under the overgrowth, in which he and his family had maintained a humble home. It was a lovely shelter, high enough to even stand up in, thanks to the orchards branch and vine. He could stand almost at full hight in the middle, and not kill himself. Though he had run into those lower areas quite a few times over the past few weeks. He wouldn't admit to it though.

The weather was still calm enough for the foals to go play. He looked over at Chu'mana with a grin and a wink, then turned to his soon to be eager foals. "Seems it's snowing again." he said as he pretended it was something dreadful.

Chidi's ears perked and his eyes went wide. He had a natural interest in the snow, but it always seemed to make things colder. Either his dad, or his mom, or both, seemed against them playing in the snow fall. Didn't want them to freeze, and Chidi didn't want to either.

Hok'ee grinned down at Chidi. "You don't want to go out and play..now....do you?" He then looked to Taipa with that same grin, before finishing his sentence, turning it into a question.

Chu'mana rested in the little spot that they had made their little gathering place in their new home. The snowy time seemed to last forever and she knew the foals were eager to go outside and play. Being cooped up inside wasn't all that fun, she was sure of that.

As her mate came back, she suppressed a little giggle. Glancing over at both the foals with a curious glance to see their reaction.

Taipa bounded up to her father, her tail wiggling back and forth as she pranced infront of him. Waiting for the news.

Her little hooves beat against the earthen floor as she pranced in place. "I....I wanna go play! Daddy! I wanna go play!" The filly took in a deep breath. "Play play play play play!" She continued the little chant while trotting in circles.

Hok'ee closed one eye and peered at Taipa. "I don't know. his face stuck in a half grin with the squinted eye.

Chidi waggled his tail about as he watched his sister. He wanted to play too. He rose to his feet and then found a break in her circles to spin around with her in circles.

"Oooh...alrightthen." he said quickly, flashing an all teeth smile at the two foals.

He tried to make way to lift the branches up for them, before they crashed into them, eager to play.

As soon as her father gave the go ahead, Taipa raced for the branch covered entrance. Way to eager to get outside and leaving her brother in her dust.

Before Hok'ee could pull the branches all the way up, she had wiggled her way out. Branches scratching against her back, but she didn't care.

The bright light caused her to squint momentarily as her eyes adjusted to what sunlight there was. Cold ran up her little legs as she sunk into the snow. The ground wasn't as solid as it was inside and soon she was pulling her legs out. Stepping high before that grew tiresome and she hopped along, squealing all the while.

"Hold on!" he said with a laugh as Taipa scurried under the branches.

Chidi blinked and his sisters rump was already shoving through to the outside. He looked at his mother for a moment, then giggled as he bounded after his sister. Course the minute he was in the snow he stopped for a second, then bounded off towards his sisters trudged snow path. He hopped in the areas where she hopped, giggling behind her.

Hok'ee looked over towards Chu'mana with a devilish gleam in his eye. "I won't let them get too far out of my sight. Give them some room, but not too much." he assured and then slipped out under the branches too.  

[Yayoi]

The filly stopped hopping as she waited for Chidi to catch up. "Come on come on come oooonnnnn!" Her tail lashed quickly back and forth as she bounded off side ways and disappeared as she fell into a high snow drift.

Sometimes being little had its complications.

Chu nodded with a warm smile on her lips. Knowing that they both would be just fine under Hok'ee's care. She decided that this would be the perfect time to catch up on some sleep. The foals took a lot of energy out of her sometimes.  

[Lunadriel]

Chidi put effort into his bounds, pushing on at his sisters beckon. He was close . He skidded his feet as he saw her poof beneath the snow, but it was too late. He was already half sprung into the air.

He ended up landing right on top of his sister. He rolled to the side and laughed hard as he began to chatter. "So..c-c-cold!" He laughed even harder as he tried to trudge through the deeper snow. It wasn't easy.

Behind the kids, Hok'ee choked to hold back his own laughter.  

[Yayoi]

Letting out a little squeal as her brother landed ontop of her, she scrambled to gain her footing once more. Hopping up, her head barely reaching the top of the snow as she was swallowed up once again. "V-very c-c-old!" Taipa let out a little whine as she tried to peek over the snow. "D-daddy?!" She could hear his muffled laughter as she continued to peek her nose out.

Hok'ee was there in an instant. He trudged into the snow drift carefully, feeling his way around Taipa and Chidi. He stood with the snow barely touching his chest. Reaching down into the cold white, he began to push on Taipa, sending her up over the edge. Then with a glancing smile to her, he dipped back in and pushed out her chattering brother. Once they were both safe, he bounded up out of the deep snow and cleared his throat. "If it's too cold, we can go back..." he teased. He knew the foals would want to stay out longer.

Once Chidi was out, he tried to control his chattering teeth. Shaking the snow off helped a little bit. He didn't know if it was too cold for his sister, so he looked to her and waited for her response.

Taipa's little teeth chattered for a moment. Watching as her brother popped out of the snow and then her daddy. When he mentioned going back, she squealed and took off running, trying to be mindful of what snow looked deeper than others. "No no!"  

[Lunadriel]

Chidi almost knocked his father over as he bolted after his sister with a laugh. His legs went every which way as he darted through the snow, and up to Taipa's backside. He reached forward and nipped at a mouthful of her tail.

Hok'ee drew in a deep breath and watched them with pride. Taipa was not a quitter, that was certain.  

[Yayoi]

Letting out another squeal, Taipa curled her body as she ran. Trying to n** at her brother's face and flicking her tail this way and that. It was hard to run like this!

Coming to a stop, she quickly turned around and reared up. Flailing her spindly little legs in the air as she danced around on her back hooves. Quickly coming down into the snow, her legs cut through the frozen mush. She wiggled her body trying to get free before Chidi could get at her.

Chidi's eyes twinkled as his sister turned to ward him off. He enjoyed her attention as much as his mothers.

He let go instantly, eyes going wide as his sister reared up in front of him. He bounced from one side to the other, then chased after her again. With a side grin, he pounded his little hooves into the snow. This time, he held his neck down, and tried to pass her by, giving the run his all. The warm air huffed out his nostrils in clouds as it hit the cold air.

Hok'ee, still keeping close, cocked his head to the side, curious to see who would out run who.
