I thought I'd start off by showing some of my pages in a thread. Some are works in progress and some are finished. But, I'm always looking for tips to improve my styles. I don't have a scanner so you'll just get bad photographs. Sorry. I'll also change my poll every so often, too.

This is a work in progress. I'm going to see "Wicked" in February. It's one of my favorite plays and so I created a countdown calendar to show how excited was. I mounted a piece of plain, pink 8x8 cardstock to some patterned 12x12 paper. I measured and drew out the calendar outlining and writing in various shades of pink and green. (Pink for Glinda and Green for the Elphaba, Wicked Witch for those who don't know) On either side, I added quotes from the soundtrack and I'll add other doodles later on to fill up the space. Maybe a few stickers or something but I have to go through my stash to see just what would fit right and not take the focus off the calendar.

This is one of my favorite pages. I don't think it needs anything else. One of my oldest and dearest friends, Richard, lives in Eugene, Oregon and I live in Ohio. We've been able to keep in touch through MySpace and Facebook but I was so excited when he sent me this Christmas card with little pictures of him and his boyfriend, Shane. I grabbed one of the prettiest pieces of Chritmas paper I had, added the tags and the title and attatched the pictures all around. What's even more exciting is hopefully I might fly out to see him this summer! So, that'll mean more fun pictures and layouts about the trip.

I really like the paper in the second post. Is the tag on that page handmade?

razoredge17 I really like the paper in the second post. Is the tag on that page handmade? No, it's a sticker. I had a couple Christmas kits I bought at WalMart.

oh, and also, what material did you use for the paper you wrote on? is it just any normal one, or is it different? because it looks like theres a hole punched into it. just wondering :] ...

ilili77 oh, and also, what material did you use for the paper you wrote on? is it just any normal one, or is it different? because it looks like theres a hole punched into it. just wondering :] ... its a tag i had and the hole was already in it. i found a sheet of tags like that at a camera/scrapbook store and liked the color on it. the background paper was from the tons of travel themed paper I have. i think he said its like a knock-off made in china brand to look like something else. i dunno. but that crossed off any "Harley" stickers or embelishments. (also saving me money) when the weather improves and he starts riding again, i'll get pictures of him in his leather jacket. heart heart

I made this page as a cover to a few pages in my book. Our wysteria and lilac bushes are finally blooming for the first time this year and I've been taking LOTS of pictures
