Does anyone take susuki for piano? I do, I'm in book 7, I also play a lot of other things for piano. What kind of music do you play?

I have used the Suzuki books for lesson, practice, and intermediate recital purposes, but that was all for violin (being that violin is my major instrument and all...)
I have to say that Suzuki had a very good idea when it came to his method of teaching violin (which was later adapted for other instruments, including piano), but I personally don't agree with it. I was taught more from the Russian School of thought when I started my musical career.

I never really took Suzuki. I went through Alfred's when I was a kid (the childish pictures were ridiculous but it wasn't that bad...XD) and then my teacher just started me on whatever she thought I needed in my repertoire. I like the freedom I have now a lot better, because I can just pick what I want to play. ;P
