Politics and politicians fail miserably.
They spend time debating pointless and trivial issues. Honestly, I don't ******** care about them. Why do the top politicians concern themselves with silly things like abortion? It should be left to local mayors to make laws based on what the people in the state want. You can't have everyone agree on the same thing, so why not give those living in certain areas one thing, and those living in others another?

I think the reason this occurs is because the politicians can only talk, as opposed to act. And signing a worthless document does not count as getting something done. This is what is going on, instead of trying to think about how they can actually improve the problems our country is experiencing, they choose to get power by debating about things like abortion. In BIG politics, things like this should not matter! The end justifies the means, so I don't care who of what party gender ethnicity beliefs my president is as long as he/she gets something done. Putin is a good example of this.

So stop debating about worthless crap like this and stuff like gay marriage to local areas. The United States has always been and will be diverse, so it's important to preserve that diversity. Remember the civil war? If it was left for local leaders to decide, it would have eventually phased itself out of the south. It would have been less bloodshed, and the economy of the Southern states would not have suffered as much.
