I know this was like a long time ago, but this is still happening. I want to share these videos with you and I hope for you to tell me wat you think of it. And also, I am a Hmong person, and this really affected me. And if you can, tell me why... Why the CIA killed, hunted and raped many Hmong when my people, the Hmong people, helped aid them in battle? It really upsets me to know this had happened and is still going on. This really saddens me...I hope that this will end soon

I'm so disgusted by the whole situation that I don't know what to say. I hate it when people are persecuted, killed, or in any way discriminated for being part of a different group. In this case it's particularly bad, since all they did is help out as instructed, and now they're being hunted down as if they had done something wrong.
Seriously, that's just wrong. They're killing innocent people who just want to live in peace with their families. I really hope they get some REAL help and this situation ends.

I live in an area of California where the Hmong are a very big part of the population. In fact they are a very big part of our community, participating in festivals and celebrations put on. They get treated very badly over here just because they are a different people, and the majority of the white people in this area are ignorant and think that they are stupid.
I have many Hmong friends, and have grown up with a lot of first generation Hmong-Americans, not to mention immigrants themselves. They are very kind and humble people, and don't ask much in return....in fact one of my former classmates (I’m in college) gave me a small pillow that I cherish because I thought she was the sweetest woman I knew! I felt so bad I didn’t have anything to give back, I gave her a small toy I made back.
The fact is they got a raw deal from America after the war, and I don't know what I can do other than help the ones who live by me reach their American dream. I hope the pain and suffering in Laos stops and the can get their home back!

I, too, live in California and its true that there are many ignorant people of other races and think that we're stupid. Not all of us are stupid, Hmong people here in America are getting smarter and smarter. We're just not as smart because many of us came to America poor after escaping such a horrible massacre. But even though we came poor, we were the lucky ones. Most of us are trying to earn up money to bring some of our family from Laos come to America.

A lot of the families that live in my area are some of those families that are trying to bring there families here. That's why I respect then a lot. In fact that one woman I went to school with was so determined to get an education despite her language barrier....I just had to respect her!
It is good though that the Hmong in our area are participating in the community though, teaching us about their culture. The place I live in is very diverse: Hmong, East Indian, and Hispanic being the majority of the community in our area; it is good to teach people about the different cultures.
I particularly like the outfits they wear......The student told us in class about how they make them and I RESPECT the seamstress..... eek In fact just a few months ago they had a big Hmong New Year celibration (I think that's what it was) and I was shocked to see so many people in that tiny place!!!!!! and the food smelled soooooooooo good crying

When making outfits, its rather hard and may take long. I thank you that you respect my people. It relieves me, though I do have my friends who respect my people as well. I enjoy a diversed community, but I don't enjoy it when there are racism in the area.
