The morning was foggy and the woods were pretty much invisible in the misty white. The large trees seemed to loom out of white as the one brown stallion traveled through them. With the fog so thick he was moving slow and carefully so not to run into any trees hidden by the whiteness. He moved alone. No companion to keep him company, no one at all to help him through. Lonliness was setting in quickly on him. Having always had someone around before he was still not used to being alone. It was his own choice to be alone instead of going and finding the mare he loved. He was still unsure if he could be around any other Soquili's and not break down in remorse. Having been attacked by his very own mother had changed him. He was no longer innocently curious as he had been before. He was no longer playful or carefree. His mother had seen to that when she had broken his heart. So now here he was fighting sadness and trying to let go of the past event that haunted and hurt him. So unsure if he could ever be the happy and curious Critter he had been before.

Mares.....
It was something Vasu thought about a lot these days. He was so bent on finding 'the one' that it was intoxicating at times. Downright exhausting even. He had met quite a few mares that were easily close friends, but it stopped there. None of them seemed to be to mare he wanted to pursue for a life long relationship. Yet..
He grumbled a bit under his breath. He had just passed a mare only moments ago, a colorful mare that even smiled up at him, but he had reached a breaking point. He simply looked up at her, then turned to continue on his way. Without realizing it, he was almost ready to take a break from mares for a bit.
His thoughts trailed to the only other stallions he knew, his two brothers. He couldn't help but wonder how their crack at romance was going. It pained him to think that his younger brother..would find a mare before he did.
He picked up his pace, ready to take off running at any moment. He ducked around a corner, about to take off as fast as he could, but skidded to a halt instead.
In front of him, only a few feet away was a brown stallion, that appeared to be smiling. He huffed. Then he saw that he wasn't smiling, but it was only the color of his coat around his lips. In fact, he seemed to be bothered.
Odd, that this one little observation, made Vasu feel a sort of connection to the lone soquili. He tried not to be too serious, but rather wondered what was troubling this guys mind.
