 Ashoka yawned as he lazily made his way down to the lake. It had been a few days since he first met the lioness Nadine and he couldn't be happier. He actually enjoyed being around her. Leaning down close to the water he pawed at it gently then lapped at the surface a bit. Backing away from the water's edge he stretched his front paws out and walked over to the tree. Leaning back on his powerful hind paws he took a powerful jump up into the tree and landed on the branch that hung over the lake. Laying down he placed one paw over the other and laid his head on them. He still hadn't seen any other lions and was starting to wonder if there were even any others around.

 Taeliff stretched his jaws in a huge yawn and crouched down to lap the cool water that lay before him. With a jump he noticed another lion's reflection in the pool. He looked behind him to see the lion in the tree, his tree, resting happily. With a slight growl Taelif pushed off with his hind legs and landed gracefully on the other side of the tree, causing it to rock back an forth. Nearly thrown off Tae stuck out his claws into the branch he stood on and held tight. Not wanting the other male to notice him yet he stood behing the tree's trunk attempting to be incognito.

Ashoka cocked an eyebrow as he watched the strange lion, that had shown up, out of the corner of his eyes. If he was trying to be stealthy, he was failing at it miserably. Ashoka's claws dug into the branch as the tree swayed slightly. Did that lion seriously think he wouldn't notice that? He stifled a laugh as he began to wonder what the other lion was up to.

Not really wanting to confrot the lion Taae settled down on a large flat branch facing away from the other. After all, he didn't exactly mark this as hsi territory...yet. Still he decided against fighting for it, this lion could be of help to him. With a sigh Taeliff wondered what he should do next, introduce himself or continue to ignore him.
He could tell by now that the other had seen him, it wasn't that hard really, he was a huge lion with a bright orange mane after all. Shaking his mane boredly Tae stood up gracefully, without moving the tree this time, and lept out of the tree. Landing easily on his feet he wove his tail around and beckoned the other lion down from the tree. Tae wasn't sure it could carry their convined weights and he wanted to introduce himself properly.

Ashoka huffed as he lazily got up and jumped down from the branch he had been resting on. He softly landed on the patch of grass he had rolled around in just a few days ago. He watched as the other lion moved around. He didn't know whether to trust this one or not. He didn't feel as relaxed around him as he had Nadine, which seemed weird to him. "Hello there." He said as he smirked at the other lion.

Asuming this smirk was an attempted warm smile so he returned this with a grin of his own. "Hey." He muttered. Tae felt a bit of tension rising between them and almost immediatly understood. This male had a mate, he feels protective even though she's not here. Still there was something else... Tae chose to ignore that for now. He sat down and cocked his head to one side, looking at the other lion. "I'm Taeliff. I am a sort of outsider, or rouge if you will. But I don't like it. I'm looking to either join or start a pride." He paused now, waiting for the information to sink in.
"To be honest I planned on fighting you for the territory but I do believe I'd be beaten." He smiled and then looked away. By the side of this male he probably would be after all. "Besides I want to live in peace not fight over everything. I need some more friends too."
Taeliff stood and looked down at his paws in embaresment. He hoped this might loosen the tention between them but it may just make him appear to be strange.

Ashoka rose an eyebrow as the lion talked. He was almost as talkative as Nadine. His smile grew warmer as he thought of her. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts he introduced himself. "I'm Ashoka." He said as he eyed the other lion. "I don't have a pride either but I'm not sure if I'd call myself a rogue." He shrugged as the other lion looked down at his paws. "The watering hole's for anyone who comes around here." He said as he nodded towards the lake. "It'd be foolish to fight over something we should be sharing. I don't like fighting anyway. Although if I'm pushed hard enough, I'll push back just as hard...if not harder." His ears twitched as he listened for any other lion that would approach them. Swishing his tail back and forth he plopped his but down on the ground and stared at the other lion, not knowing what else to say.

"Of corse not." Taeliff shook his head like it was the most obvious think in the world. "You have got yourself a girl huh?" He grinned and nodded changing subjects. "I just like the tree." He admitted happily gazing upon it's wonderus branches.
Upon hearing the rest of the lion's introduction he grinned happily. "That sounds like a responce that a true lion would make." He swished his tail back and forth. For some reason he thought another lion could show up any second...

 Sachmet stretched and rolled out of the grass she had been sleeping in. She yawned and looked around. She was quite thirsty, it was turning out to be a rather hot day so far. She walked though a path towards the lake on the other side of a small thicket between her sleeping spot and the lake. She looked up and saw some monkeys playing in the trees and hoped one would fall and she could catch it...But like always the monkeys were more agile then she hoped and they didn't fall. She licked her lips wishing for something but kept going, she wanted water. She came through the trees and tall grass and saw the lake. Then she noticed that she wasn't the only lion there today. There were two males there already. She saw that one of them was being submissive to the other male. He had been talking she guessed and was now looking at his paws. This was odd looking to her but she guessed it had something important towards what they were talking about. She shrugged, if she was quiet she could just go over and get a drink with out bothering them. She walked forward and crouched down next to the water and began to lap up the water happily.

"A...girl?" He stuttered a bit as he looked away for a second or two. "She's not really...my girl. We're just friends." If his body hadn't been covered in fur, you could see the blush the covered his face. Was Nadine just a friend...or was she something more? He really wasn't sure at this point in time yet.

Taeliff burst out in his booming laughter that was his trade mark. "It seems like you're in love to me." He reached out a huge paw and pushed Ashoka playfully to the side. He raced around him and kept laughing, only to accidentally bump into the other lion that had appeared.
"Oh. Well hello there." Taeliff said with a blush.

Sachmet's face was pushed into the water as the male bumped into her. She jumped backwards and glared at the male. "Watch where your going!" she yelled at him after sneezing the water out of her nose and shaking the water out of her ears. She sneezed again and glared at him some more. She wasn't sure what to think of him. He was attractive looking...kinda. But that wasn't a good way to make an impression on her. She looked at both of them and took another step back waiting form an apology.

Was Ashoka in love? He wasn't sure. He sat there frowning as the other lion ran around him. As the lion ran into the female lion that had shown up Ashoka burst out laughing. The scene looked rather funny to him. He felt for the male lion a bit. He seemed like a very clumsy lion.

Taeliff grinned at the Female. He brushed his tail across her nose in appology. He hoped she hadn't been tramatized by him too much. With a sigh he nodded to the two lions happily. "I'll be off in to my den now. It's about 250 paces north of here. He nodded his head towards the jungle. "Come and see me later. Now it's dinner time." He licked his lips and prepared for the hunt, racing away from the pond.

She looked at him as he walked away. At least he apologized. She looked at the other male. "At least your calmer then he was. My name is Sachmet. whats yours? and what was his? I didn't catch it. Do you live here? Or near here?" she asked as she sat down. She wanted to go eat but she was just too hot right now. She yawned again and looked around as a flock of birds took off.
