About Me:
I'm just a normal guy, I guess. I had a very secluded childhood, and was raised in an orphanage from the age of two, after my parents were killed. When I was discharged seven years ago, I really didn't know much about the outside world. I'm not even sure I do now. For the past year or so, I've been performing with a circus troupe, honing my musical skills and learning to stifle my stage fright.
Hobbies:
People-watching, practicing my instruments. I recently took up drawing, but I'm still not very good at it.
Talents:
I can play the guitar with varying degrees of success, depending on the song, and I sing well. I'm passable with a number of other instruments, can paint sets, perform emergency sewing fixes on costumes, and patch up minor injuries. All day-to-day necessities in my line of work, but I find these skills come in handy elsewhere. I can also make a graceful landing from a fairly respectable height, though my wings aren't strong enough to carry me in flight, despite the fact that I am lighter than a human of my size.
Looking For:
I would like to meet someone who doesn't mind my hectic schedule or think I am choosing my career over our relationship when my busy life keeps me from her. It might be nice to get to know a person who is more adventurous than I am, but... not too exuberant? I don't want to go bungee jumping or anything more extreme, but a woman who is excited about life and wants to share her experiences with me would certainly be appreciated.

I'm a very busy old lady, by Gaia standards, who works 40 hours a week and spends the rest of my time drawing or contemplating my wasted youth.

No, seriously, I'm a mildly sassy person who thinks this shop is kickass and wants to throw down a character for some lovin'. I'm extremely shy around people I don't talk to often, but it's hard to get me to shut up once I've known you for a while. It takes quite a lot to externally piss me off, and I'm even more forgiving on the internet than I am in real life.
Likes/Dislikes (IN RP):
There is really nothing I don't like, as far as RP is concerned. Well, okay, I'm not partial to, say, rape or super-dark torture or other bleh activities, but I have been known to enjoy getting my characters beaten up, or saddling them with responsibilities they get all hair-teary over.

Because RPs usually take such a long time for me to complete, I like to talk and think about what the characters are doing in-between a lot. I don't think it's feasible that if two people like each other as more than acquaintances, that they wouldn't talk on the phone or otherwise contact each other between actually meeting face-to-face. Phone RP in general is boring, so it would probably be much nicer for me if the person I get paired with is willing to talk about these interim things on AIM or something.

As for other stuff, I have been known to RP sexual situations that would be rated higher than a PG-13, but I suck large at it, so I'm going to have to say no for this shop. I know, you were really looking forward to that. I kid, I kid.
Style:
Third person, past tense. I'm the type to annoyingly ask shop owners if I can write solos instead of Dear Diary entries because finding individual internal character voices is hard for me. I even opted to write Shea's profile in a strange, stilted voice that he probably won't have in RP, even though he's a fairly smart guy. I RP for fun, not because I actually want to be a writer, and if I have to think too hard, I lose interest. The size and descriptiveness of my paragraphs depend on the person I'm RPing with, although if I'm starting an RP, my opener tends to be my longest post.

Due to my schedule and the amount of RPs I'm usually in the middle of, it can take me as long as a couple of days to several weeks to reply to a thread-based RP. I often forget I'm involved in an RP because I'm bad and I don't write these things down. I respond very well to prodding, so don't be afraid to, and even better to AIM RPs because it's not like I can misplace those. D:
Availability:
Every day and night excluding Friday nights, all day Saturday, and Sunday during the day. I currently have a job that allows me to be online all day for most of the month, so you're more likely to see me during office hours than at any other time. I do come on Trillian at night, but I'm a slow talker because I'm always simultaneously drawing. (All of the above is in EST, by the way.)
What I want for the character:
I've been stuck character-wise with Shea for a long while, and rarely think of him as my go-to guy for fun RP. I want to change that, all while getting him some sort of life. He's currently the worst kind of shut-in, but he's also a performer - a job he chose for himself. My ultimate goal is to bring his hidden extroverted side out, by introducing him to the right girl. I also think Shea will make beautiful babies someday, but he's miles away from that and babymaking is obviously not my primary goal here. XD
Other:
Shea is not virginal or stupidly naive, he just hasn't had a lot of life experience. Don't expect to have whole RPs where your character introduces him to the joys of chocolate or anything. o.o

About Me: I'm a former temporal regulator, though I'd prefer you not ask, and presently I'm unemployed, but I live quite comfortably in a large house with a nice garden which I never enter as I am deathly allergic to bees and the bees are rather fond of the flowers. I am university-educated and my areas of study were classical literature and music from the 14th to 21st centuries.

Hobbies: I enjoy reading, writing, and long walks.

Talents: I can sing and dance well enough for theatre, and I speak Scots (and several Romance languages in a professional capacity).

Looking For: Someone to spend some time with, who hopefully enjoys long walks and doesn't mind if I burn the cooking. I've had my share of adventure, and while I'm always up for a bit more of it, I would most love to meet someone with an appreciation of home.

Other: I'm Swiss-American, though I grew up in Britain. I love exploring new cultures and cuisines, but at heart, I'm a homeboy, and nothing spells happiness like a good liverwurst and red onion sandwich and a cuppa.

About Me: I'm twenty-four and I love my characters, but that said, I don't protect them from experiencing pain and misery in their lives. I just make sure they always get a happy ending somehow. This is me trying to give Daub a happy ending (if you'll excuse the totally unfortuante pun).

Likes/Dislikes (IN RP): I like to be giving to my RP partners, to write to the point where it makes sense for their character to respond, and I dislike getting steamrolled by long posts which don't give my characters a chance to react. I have no problem with short reponses in RP, as I think they demonstrate a willingness to collaborate, not an inability to write!

Style: Dramatic tragicomedy? That's a fair enough summary of Daub's life, anyway, and I see no reason his dating life should be any different. Expect drama with a bit a comedy thrown in. In general, I can't stay very serious for more than five minutes. (Though when the occasion warrants it, be prepared for dark stuff.)

Availability: At the moment, mostly weekends and sporadically during the week because I'm full-time at my job. sad I am slow but steady.

What I want for the character: To have him meet new people, maybe find someone to get into a long-term relationship with. He NEEDS an outlet, his housemate gets really mad if he brings home hookers. XD;;; So, yes, not looking for a purely platonic relationship, though Daub is rather much a gentleman and will always follow his partner's lead and wishes in such regards and has no problem with waiting long periods. (He's been without a partner for some very long stretches in his life and is a bit used to it now.)

Other: I wanted to join because, looking over the shop, I thought the single female characters there were FAN-TAS-TIC and I immediately wanted to set Daub up with them all, even if the results wouldn't be pretty!

Hobbies: I like to dance (really dance; swing, tango, mambo... I'm not much of a waltzer though), smoke socially, play cards, and, occasionally, read.

Talents: ((Here, someone has taken over in orange pen)) He can DANCE, mo-fos! He's all woosh and swish and stuff. He can make witty banter as long as you don't bring up the subjects that make him twitch - although those are HELLA fun to figure out. His jaw friggen' jumps. It's hilarious. Uhm. Thommy boy can keep hyper ADD'd people entertained for hours. And he's nice. That's a talent. Right?

Looking For: Thommy is looking for a girl. He likes girls! I think. He's well dressed and polite and - Okay, so he just snarled at me that he isn't gay. So he probably isn't gay. Preferably someone who can cook and clean, because, hot damn. He needs it. No sluts! Apparently he likes the 'romance' or what the ******** ever. A dancer! He'd get BORED without a chick who can dance. Think GREASE, ladies! ...Grease? He mentions this to spite me. Also, I wouldn't mind a girl who would like to learn to dance.

About Me: I finally decided to write some of this from scratch, because I was tired of copy and pasting the old one! =D

I'm twenty years old, I live with my mother, and I work at the local Government owned and operated liquor store. My hours aren't that great right now, because it's the winter. Winter means the slow season, and the slow season is not for the win. I'm looking into getting a second job, which would have to be a night job, because I really like my job at the liquor store. Too much to risk jeopardizing it by not being available during call in times. So anyway. Right now I'm always home by 6pm PST at the latest, except on fridays when I might have to work until 9pm PST.

Likes/Dislikes (IN RP): I am a very flexible roleplayer; I'm down with writing pretty much everything, but if there's something that I don't feel comfortable doing I'll let you know. I don't mind writing, as one of my friends once put it, 'the ol' in and out', but it requires plot and a comfortable relationship with the other player to write it. In other words, I have issues with feeling people judge me about writing that stuff, but if I know for sure you're okay with it, then I'm fine with it too.

I like angst, I like drama, but I like it in balanced amounts. I like happy goofy stuff just as much as I like the soul-wrenching raging torments of emotion kind of writing.

I ADORE literacy, and I hate chatspeak with a loathing passion. I can't even use chatspeak when I text from my cellphone; it insults every english teacher I've ever had, and I had some great ones. I like moderately sized posts, but a couple of one liners here and there doesn't bother me. However, know that if you drop a one liner you'll likely receive one in return, as they don't usually give me much to work off of, and I'm inclined to get bored with one liner roleplay pretty quickly.

I very much love to learn about the histories of peoples' characters, and even if it doesn't come up in the roleplay if you have a random story about how so and so met a lion and walked away with a pet leprechaun I'd probably like to know. You can pretty much feel free to ramble at me as much as you want, because I like listening! I also ramble a lot in kind, (as is exhibited in this here form) but if you tell me to shut up I will. Promise. xD

Style: I am most comfortable writing in the third person past tense; I do enjoy writing first person musings once in awhile, but it's rare, as I enjoy describing things. (So I'll unpack my adjectives~)

I usually write anywhere from two to six paragraphs or more; I've got this... Habit of going off into tangents, or running off into a lot of description.

Asterix roleplaying is fine for fun and games and joking around, but I never really apply it to in character activities.

Availability: Week nights after six pm PST mostly, excluding Fridays, whereas the latest I might show up is nine pm PST, though sometimes I go to the movies or hang out with friends or play pool or just have a life in general. Saturdays I don't get out of bed until about 2pm PST (unless I work) because I still like to watch saturday morning cartoons, and television gets boring after two.

What I want for the character: Iiii have NOO Idea. Thom's brand new, so mostly- I just made him for fun. Let's go with that, this girl just wants to have fun with her fifties boy!

It should be noted, that Thom hasn't really ever verbally admitted to anyone (well, except to Iamel, sort of) to being from the fifties. That is all. <3

Other: Clearly, I ramble a lot. Sorry about that. Also, this is the fourth time I've copy and pasted my answers. I tried to fill them out a little- but. I got laaazy! Sorry about that, too. XD; I don't get lazy in roleplays though, because roleplay is fun. Yes.

AIM isn't a must, but I'd really appreciate it if you had AIM to communicate with me outside of Gaia. Sometimes I don't sign in for awhile just because, and if you're waiting for posts from me or what not it's a good way to poke me. I admit to occasionally needing to be prodded for responses.
