From this point onward we will be looking to members aswell as our own extremely awesome brains.
Put ideas forward at your own risk though if we dont like it we will simply say no and move on.

Some of our plots will be set in stone but we'll give options, so look out for the polls.

while we're at it, why don't we call it The Nutcracker's Crack House (of course, Sarai is The Nutcracker)? stare

seriously though, i think the name's perfect, Dante. just as Dante has stated, this spot will be where members can post their own story ideas. please please please make some suggestions! Ragen's a mod now and all her story ideas involve an ending with Triskal blowing s**t up! gonk

it's true, we'd have allready lost the whole if corellia to her explosive antics if i hadn't grabbed her by her shoulders and shaken her until the idea fell out... then I threw the idea in the bin.

To get the ball rolling, I'm going to hand over the one plot I have been planning and thinking up since... well... lets see...

... roughly the tenth of Feb 2006.

Ok, Im only handing over the basic structure but... well you get the point.

on the 14th of feb 2006 I took Dante on a mission to Kamino, where he lost an arm but had it re-attatched and had some blood cloned and... well they have it on storage.
The Kaminoans, great scientific minds and people with little morals, believed Dante to be one of the best specimins they had ever worked upon (yup I do like making out that Dante rocks... but thats only cos he does) over the past 2 years they have used Dante's blood in a number of experiments, creating a number of clones.

I havent decided on the specifics yet but I was going to have them sent off in emergency escape pods when Kamino was taken down by Metus and Bacira.
Each pod would land in a different place. One would go to Mandalore and that one, with no memory of it's own, would believe to be a mandalorian Bounty hunter. One would go to Coruscant, and with no memory except a genetic memory (instinct) of the force, that one would quickly become a great inquisitor. And so on until I ran out of clones... I want one clone to be a child, with memories, either Dante's or with the information on cloning (seeing as the cloners were wiped out he would be their legacy) hell, i could even throw in a female dante... dantina?

anyway, its just one of my plots... and I like it... people can tell me what they think.

i like the concept of Dante's own Clone Saga. we could kick it off with Dante getting framed for something he didn't do. maybe an article they cover on the HoloNet News. oooh, what if Dante returns to Tatooine and finds out his family had been murdered? and then when he investigates, all eye witness accounts swear it's him who did it. that, or something along those lines, could be a nice introduction, at the very least. we can start with one clone, and by the end of the story arc we find out there's more. we can have it play out over several story arcs with other missions in between, culminating with the "ultimate confrontation" some time from now (maybe during YOUR birthday? the irony would be saucy!). ok, just some suggestions. but the fact that it got me thinking this much is a testament of how intrigued i am by this plot idea. anyone else wanna chime in?

Hm... i hadn't thought of that... the inquisitor who took kalia and alona to be trained was the clone who landed on corellia...

no problem, we can still go from that angle. Kai could have gone home and was contacted by Dante's neighbors regarding what happened. they were concerned that Dante behaved oddly and were shocked by the way he abducted the two. Kai knows something's up and he takes it up with Dante, and along their investigation they find other eye witnesses who vouch for "Dante's" behavior. basically get Dante in trouble with certain people. so now, Dante's not only on a rescue mission but he's aiming to clear his name, too. it could play out like this:

1. Kai finds out about what happened and hears about the doppelganger for the first time.

2. he tells Dante and they both investigate.

3. they find out about more of "Dante's" transgressions from other eye witnesses along the way, with the trail eventually leading them to Corellia.

4. Dante confronts his clone, resulting in an epic clash but the original ultimately wins.

5. before the clone dies, the only thing he reveals is that he is from Kamino.

6. end of Act I.

then there's another mission we can embark on before we proceed to Act II. do the clones know how many of them there are? it would be more intriguing if they didn't. it would be even more intriguing if they were brought up to think THEY're the original. that's just my opinion, of course. ultimately, it's your baby and i'm just submitting ideas for the basic overview. if you like anything about what you see so far, then i'll give you some ideas for Act II (how long did you want this to last?).

I dont think they have any memories before landing on their respective planets. I mean... you can't clone memory, they might have genetic memory but that wouldn't tell them more than "To use the force do this, that and the other..."

that's even better! that way, there's really no telling how many of them there are and Dante will have to run around to put the pieces together. i think that would allow you to flesh the plot out a little bit more.

Let me just say that I am... aprehensive of this to start with. It has great potentiality and great danger as well. It could very soon come down to a Dante being everywhere and that I couldn't handle. I'd have to take Nova around, planet to planet, and slaughter them one by one. stare There has to be a KNOWN TO THE MODS limit on Dante clones... for my sanity as one reason and for the ability of some control for another.

Now onto the many plethora of ideas that burst into my head upon reading all of this.

I think it would be a great tie in for several storyline aspects. I'm Quixilver is a clone. We all view him to be Quixilver, but he's not. Nova Corp's black guards are all clones of Quixilver... we could do a whole arc about clone identity, if they have souls, if they are truly human or just products of science and expendable... there's a lot we could do. The dangers of cloning without caution or moderation. Genetic splicing with cloning... with Nova Corp coming back into the picture in another way... Nova herself could get ahold of a Dante clone and do things to him. Thus she could make him stronger and faster and supe him up and use him to discredit the Jedi and do some work for her. Of course she can kill him if he tries to go good... but we have a lot of possibilities here.

We just have to make sure that it doesn't be come the main focus, but rather is one of those back things. You have the main plot of good vs. outstanding evil... then you have back plots weaving in and adding character depth. This would be a long running back plot. 3nodding

i was actually thinking about the angle of viewing clones as objects, since one of the perceived "advantages" of having cloning technology is that we could clone people specifically to harvest their organs. the average waiting time for a kidney transplant is 3 years i think, and there's also heart and bone marrow. cloning will alleviate that... but at what cost? the point brought on by Episode II is cloning specifically to make soldiers. on one hand, people would think, "well, we created them, why can't we tell them what to do?". on the other hand there's this thought of, "regardless of how they were created or how they came to be, they are sentient beings capable of making their own decisions. why can't they be entitled to the same rights that everyone else are?".

so with that being said, Dante originally mentioned 3 clones, though he hasn't decided yet how many there would be. i'm very intrigued by the idea so i started running some scenarios in my head and i came up with a possible blue print for a story arc i'd like to suggest:

Act I: Dante and Kai find out that Dante has a clone and he has abducted Dante's kids. eventually they make it to Coruscant and confront the guy, ultimately defeating him and saving the kids.

Act II: this can be introduced through one of the other side arcs (collaboration with Triskal, maybe?), but Dante finds out about a Mandalorian Bounty Hunter who is another copy. he sets off to kill the guy even though the clone hasn't done anything harmful directly to him. but Dante sees the threat of clones running around making people think HE'S responsible for their actions and decides to act on it. Q objects, being a clone himself, and you get the same argument i posted above in a different context. ultimately, they find out Dante's clone had been hired to hunt down either Triskal or Lux and they gotta take him down anyway.

Act III: with yet another introduction from another story arc, Dante finds out that he has another clone. a little girl named Dana (sorry, i kinda liked this one better than Dantina. sounds too much like "Cantina".) that Metus had tracked down. turns out, before destroying everything he got ahold of some of their confidential files of prior patients and test subjects and stumbled onto Dante's. since Dana holds a lot of secrets regarding the cloning process and the procedures on some of the other experiments they've cooked up, Metus might have figured she would be useful. Dante sets off to battle Metus to a virtual draw, with both individuals sustaining massive injuries. but Dante was able to occupy Metus long enough for Kai (or a team) to rescue the girl and ultimately they all escape. then the only thing that is left is what to do with Dana...

ok, i can see Dante shooting a lot of holes into that idea but i'm not really working with a lot of specifics. that's why it's called an idea. so think about it, what you like and what you don't like and maybe we could flesh this out to not only have the 3 acts but also tie-ins to a couple of other story arcs.
