Odin's nose had led him right to where he wanted to go; food. Someone had foolishly left a large carcass here, barely eaten, without even the scavengers finding it yet. What a miracle! It would be one more day without having to catch something himself. He knew he could catch stuff, but it was so much easier if you could swindle someone's meal right out from under their nose.
Of course, he probably should of left the meal there, because what was just about to hit him was something that her certainly wouldn't expect. But for such a suave leopard as himself, he barely thought about any others than himself, unless they were pretty, of course.
"Huh?" He raised his head up, his ears catching some sort of noise from a bit off. Did someone want their meal back or what?

"Heeeeeeeey!"
Akasha couldn't believe it. That was her's, her's! Sure, maybe she didn't catch it, but she had found it first!! She was just trying to go tell her family that there was a free meal, and she turned around before she even made it back that there was someone stealing her meal! The nerve!
"Hey!" she growled, doing her best to sound mean and tough. Who cares that it was some leopard, taht was her's, and she was ready to fight for it! Fight to the death!
"You really shouldn't be stealing someone's meal, you big oaf!" Obviously, the term 'oaf' had become her favourite lately, towards idiots, or just males. Figures that this one was both, eh? "Give it back!"

Odin blinked at the fiesty little girl below him. Just what was she going on about? First, it was a lion. Lions weren't out of his taste range but...her certainly didn't think much of young ones. She was too young. But the biggest mark against her was that she was loud. And that never, ever got points in his book.
"What?" he said, a little cold, hoping that the cub would just go away. "I'm sorry, but there wasn't anyone near this tender meal. Besides, how could such a tiny little lion like you catch such a large preybeast?" He knew that he had her there, and with that she should just run away back to her parents, which was probably what she was doing when she got jealous of him.
He turned back to return to his meal, assuming that the cub had run off. Little did he know just what he was getting into, talking back to the black and purple cub.

Kashi couldn't believe this big oaf! He...he...he was worse than an oaf! She wasn't quite sure what to call someone that was worse than an oaf, but whatever it was, he sure was one! She growled at him, hoping that he would just walk off, but it was obvious that it wasn't going to work. Especially when he started to go back to eating her meal! What?!
With a huff, she tried to lunge at the leopard, but she didn't really know how it would go. He was much bigger than her, even if leopards were smaller than lions. She herself wasn't very large yet, and knew it, but she figured that with all the scuffles she had been in as a cub, she was experienced enough to take down this leopard!
It was very obvious that she had never had to fight anything larger than herself, because she just fell short of actually landing on any bit of him, and she really didn't know where to start. The legs? Maybe, but would that work? She just had to try to find out!

Odin couldn't believe that the little cub hadn't run away yet. What was she, a fool? He rolled his eyes as he once again stopped eating, looking down as the cub seemed to try to figure out just where to attack him. Like it was even going to hurt.
What should he do? He didn't really want to fight the cub, not at all. But he couldn't just let her try to beat him up, anyway. Who knew, maybe she was tough enough to hurt him a bit, and he really didn't want to have to nurse any wounds before returning to the southern savannahs, where Nimloth might be.
Instead, he rested his paw right on the forehead of the spunky cub, giving it a moment to rest there before pushing the cub back. Hopefully with the difference of power she would see that it was useless to try and fight him.

Kashi tumbled, rolling backwards from the push of the leopard. She was stunned when she stopped rolling, landing on her back, so she stared up at the sky above. Wait...what happened? Maybe she beat the leopard and was enjoying her victory. But her ears told her otherwise as she could hear the laughter of the leopard. Oooh, she was getting really mad!
She let out a cubbish growl as she hopped back up on all four of her paws, her brows furrowed as she glared at the leopard. She meant business now, and she was going to deal it!
She started to try and stalk around the leopard and the carcass, as she had seen some hyenas do from far away. Maybe it was supposed to intimidate, and that's exactly what she was hoping it would do. She wasn't going to give up her meal that easily, no way!
"That's still my meal, meanie leopard," she said, still growling at him.

Odin was really starting to get frusterated at the little cub. It was obviously not her meal, she was just jealous of such a large meal being eaten by him. He rolled his eyes, turned to face the little scowling cub, and snapped his jaws at her. "Shush," he said, quite harshly.
"You need to learn your matters, little cub. Even if it was your meal, there is no hunter here to prove that they caught it, and thus it isn't automatically you're meal. I'm here now, and I'm claiming it because I can. I am larger than you, stronger, and could kill you if I really wanted to." He snarled at the purple cub once more, before trying to return back to his meal.
Trying, at least.

The 'cub' snarled yet again. How did this foolish leopard get the upperhand? More importantly, how did she let him get the better of her? She scowleled, though she did keep herself in her own spot for a time, staring at him with such rage. She really did want that meal. She wanted to take it home, show it to her mother, and feel special, as she would tell an fanatical tale about how she caught it.
But this leopard wanted to ruin all of that. And to boot, her ego as well!
"Hmph." She pouted like a little cub at the moment, still trying to figure out what to do. Kashi pondered trying to just steal it, but she knew that it would still be very heavy, even with the leopard already starting to eat it. It would be slow going, and she would probably get hit again. Hmmm.

Odin was chewing away happily at the carcass of the preybeast, pleased with how well the flesh tasted. It certainly was a fresh kill! So surprising that the actual hunter that took it down just left it. He did take a glance around every once in a while to make sure that they weren't going to come back and try to take back their meal, but he felt that it probably wasn't possible. Maybe someone did try to kill the best just to leave it for the cub to take home, but how was a cub going to carry something this large back to..wherever she lived?
"So," he said, raising his head to look back down at the cub. "Are you hungry? Or did you just want to show off that you can catch something that you really didn't catch?" He really wanted to know, even if it was only to satisfy his curiosity. "Do tell, little zebra cub, do tell." Taunting her might work too, since she seemed to get fired up over nothing so easily. Cubs, were they really getting to be such a handful? He knew that if he ever had any, they could be much more refined and polite. Hah!

Kashi's blue eyes (which somewhat matched the leopard's markings) narrowed as they shot more daggars at the leopard. Why? Why?! It's because she was Akasha, and she definately wanted the world to know her name. Heck, everyone, everywhere would know who she was! That's exactly what she wanted, and she was sure to do her best to get there. Little did she really know that it was much harder than that to really be able to do something like that, though it was more like impossible that hard.
"Because I want my Mom proud! I want everyone to know who I am!" she declared, her mouth echoing her mind. "And you, stupid leopard, should know who I am! I'm Akasha, and I'm going to be better than you some day!"
What a tongue. And she stuck that tonuge out at the loeaprd again, only this time making sure that he could see it. She wasn't scared of some ol' leopard, not at all! She wasn't afraid of anyone! Even if he did push her back with such ease, there was no way that she wasn't ready for that this time! SHe was ready to fight him for what was left of the carcass.

Odin's own gold eyes quickly narrowed back at the cub, though he soon turned his head away from her. Ugh, what was all the noise about? So she wanted to be known by everyone. She'd do much better with that having her own pride or something, whatever those lions did together. It seemed that they felt better hugging each other, making sure that they were safe in such large groups. Honestly, they acted like the preybeasts that they feasted on; always sticking together and doing things together. Hypocritical.
"Ugh, shut up, would you? You're not going to be able to do anything yelling around like that as a little cub. You have to do something bigger than that." Okay, fine. He'd play along with her little game for just a bit, and hopefully she would shut up enough so he could finish his meal. Maybe he'd fill her up enough with just ideas, that she'd have to run off and digest those herself before she ever ate anything else.
"Fine, let me tell you a couple things to actually get yourself known. Leave ma lone after that, okay?"

What? Whaaaat? This stupid loepard wanted to help her? Yay! She was so excited, finally someone really believed her and her goals. She wanted to be known for something, always parading around yelling out her name wouldn't do anything, and she knew that. But she didn't want to just be a nobody, she wanted others to admire her, appreciate her, respect her. She wanted all of that, and wanted it as soon as she could get it.
But wait. Just why did this stupid leopard want to help her? He was just a stupid leopard, and obviously he wasn't going to give her her meal back, so why the change of heart? It made her take a double look at the white leopard.
"Fine. But what're you trying to get, huh? I know you wouldnt' do something just for free, no one would," she commented, a little coldly.

Odin grinned. Alright, so she was sharper than she seemed to be. Granted, she was a little young, and a little impulsive, but age and experience would break that. But he did keep his grin up.
"Nothing, nothing," he replied, with a wave of his paw. "Perhaps just some peace and quiet, actually. But I do not directly ask for anything in return."
"Alright. So this is just ideas, and you need to decide what's best for you, but hey, I'm sure you're that smart. Now, you need to make sure that you're strong. And not just physically. Strong in the mind. You need to learn to outwit and outsmart all of those that you come across. Make sure that you can be humble at the times it's needed though. You'll make a much more lasting impression with that than just screaming your name out. Especially with the males." He grinned. Foolish boys always fell for that. He was glad that he was never foolish. Or well, so he thought. There was someone that he was fancying over, but he would never outwardly admit it. He never thought he would, anyway.

Akasha's eyes widened as she listened intently to everything that the stupid leopard had to say. Her opinion of him was slowly starting to swing. Well, he was still a stinky leopard, but now it seemed that they all weren't so bad. She herself still thought it was weird that they were always alone. She quite liked the ideas of prides, even if she thought that she might never join one. But maybe leopards really weren't that bad.
She took a moment, after he had finished speaking, to make sure that the rest of everything had sunk into her brain. She nodded here and there, still gave him a strange look when he claimed that he wanted nothing from what he had said. She still didn't quite believe that part, but he did offer his advice with no strings attached.
Now, what could she do? She would have to learn all of that on her own, since she knew that her mother wasn't quite what he was describing. She sure seemed to have her own control over her father, but since he was gone, it was hard to actually be an observer of that. And the Pridelands was full of fluffly happy lions, and she didn't think that she would be able to see any of that there. So where would she go?
She sat, and thinked.

In his mind, Odin preened himself. Well, he certainly got what he wanted out of her. he got some peace and quiet. He let his eyes linger on her for a bit longer, making sure that she indeed was wrapped up in thoughts about what he had said, and hopefully not back to trying to get the meat again. That was one headache that he was really getting tired of.
When he had felt that she indeed was going to leave him alone, he returned to finish his meal. He was going to take a long time to linger over it, eat as much as he could without making himself lag with fatigue. The meat tasted so well, as a younger buck normally did, but he was actually going to leave a bit of it on the carcass. There was no way that he was going to be able to eat it all anyway, maybe the cub would bring her family back and actually eat something of what was left. That would be for the best, probably. Better than the vultures eating it all. After that, he would try to find his own pretty lady again. She was so pleaseant, and it pleased him to try and see her again.
