Howdy My Junior Missionaries...

As Mission president, I want to re-affirm your duty to memorize D&C 4. Please tell me you have finished or that you are in the process of trying. Although that verse is about missionary work, there is much more to it!

Ok, now here's the second part. This is a thread where you can come in anytime and bare your testimony. It doesn't matter if it is short or long, all that matters is that it is Sincere. This is also a good place to come when you are down and want to be uplifted by the testimonies of others. If you're like me, sometimes you just feel "down in the dumps." For me, it helps to hear or read spiritual things. So, the more testimonies we have in here, the better.

Plus, there is no limit to how many testimonies you can post. It's not like once you bare your testimony, you are out...you can always share it again or share a part of your testimony you didn't share before. Sometimes, things happen that raise our testimonies. Share those thing too, if you like.

I want you to know, this is not an order, just a suggestion. However, we have been taught that one way to wash our sins away is by sharing our testimonies. I don't know about the rest of you, but I could always use a little cleaning up!

I want you all to know that I love this church. I am so happy I joined in 1985...it literally changed my life. I am thankful for my mission. I know Jesus lives and that our Father in Heaven lives and loves each and every one of us. I know the Holy Ghost is here to guide us to truth and help us make righteous decisions. I am incredibly thankful that my older Brother gave His life for me so that I can live again and not go to hell. He did something I could never do, and while I know I can never fully repay Him, I try to do my best by telling everyone who will listen about the gospel He set up. Many people need this info and I want to share it with as many as I can. I say these things in the name of my Everlasting Savior Jesus Christ, amen.

I'd like to share a rather nice experience I had this past Sunday at church (am I ever glad that I stayed even when my mom tried to convince me to come home).

We were having a Relief Society lesson on the First Vision, and the teacher was one of my favorite ladies in my ward. We've only been in the ward for a little less than a year, but she already feels like a third grandma to me. She was wrapping up the lesson when she made this simple statement, and I could tell she meant every word of it: "Heavenly Father loves you, sisters. He cares about you." And for the first time in a long time, that thought penetrated my heart (because if this sister says it, it MUST be true). All I could do for the next few minutes was sit there and think about it. Of course it was true. I had really been taking it for granted my entire life, like how we tend to take it for granted that our earthly parents love us. But, in that moment, I think I realized a little bit more of what it truly means to be daughters (and sons) of the great God of the universe, who loves us vastly more than any earthly father ever could.

So, I'd like to testify to everyone who reads this, God loves you more than you will ever comprehend in this life. Even if you have earthly parents who tend to be inadequate towards your needs, or don't show love towards you often, know that Heavenly Father is NOT a flake. Perfect love may be harder to comprehend for some of us than it may be for others, but it's there, brothers and sisters. And once you recognize how real it is, it's going to be so much easier to recognize the Lord's hand in everything as you go about your day. It will also be easier to see that He loves all of his other children, too, regardless of whether or not they reciprocate that love or even know He exists, which should be incentive enough to treat everyone around us with love and kindness. And from there, if you let it, the spiritual snowball will keep rolling and getting bigger until you really begin to appreciate what true joy is. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

for me i get more into things more than other people like my school work i am always paying attention and my churchwork i'm always taking notes in BYC even if it's only the young men doing it i write it down and make notes that this is what everybody is doing and then the sports i try (mainly dancing) i have grown to be this way because i was a very sick child cause i have this thing called Jobs Syndrome (it's named after Job from the bible) and it's an immune deficiancy disease and my immune system helps out bacteria and things that makes you sick instead of help it so i usually have to take antibiotics to get over something like the flu. and so because of this i missed alot of everything so i've always worked so much harder to keep up but when i was little i wasn't thinking about my testimony and now i am, i am thinking so much more about the gospel and i'm applying myself so much more to church now than i used to and i'm finding a happy medium as to my church, school and then colorguard. and i've found that i am so much happier when i am thinking about the gospel and when i have a church song in my head when i'm going through school which is just a horid place sometimes it's easier to get through the day with the spirit than without it. and i know that Jesus suffered died for us and i will try my hardest to fullfill all that i need to fullfill. And i am thankfull that i had friends that were there to keep me smiling when i was sick and especially my mom who was allways there taking care of me when i was sick with a high fever. in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I have a testimony. I have a catholic friend who is trying to get me to leave the church but I won't. And Gryphex gave me a good answer to one of the questions she kept hitting me with. Thanks Gryphex~
