The temperature was nice for a winter day, it wasn’t to cold but it wasn’t yet warm enough for the snow to be melting. It was early afternoon, nearing mid-noon, the sky still bright even with the sun hiding behind the clouds. There was snow as far as the eye could see, except for a top a small pond. The water had iced over, and at some time in the night the winds had blown the smooth surface free of some so one could see the water bellow. A soft and warm breeze blow by, going almost un-noticed other then by a female Ulaya resting at the edge of the pond.
She snow white fur blended onto the landscape, if it weren’t for the green and red strips she wore she’d be nearly invisible to someone not looking. She had a scarf, also in green and white strips, that she wore around her neck and up over her nose which kept her mouth hidden from view. Her tail, toes and hair where stripped in Christmas colors, her eyes a deep emerald green and her gem a red. She sat, enjoying the silence as she watched the ice and pondered where she should look for dinner.
It would be night fall in only a few hours and she didn’t know the area well. She’s found a old cave she could use as shelter for the night but with this pond frozen over she wasn’t sure where else to look for food. She knew she could always live one night without an evening meal, find something when she continued her travels in the morning, she was also knew her stomach would let her know it was upset about being ignored too.
Letting out a soft sigh she smiled as she watched her breath rise in the air. She had inherited a thinker, warmer fur from her parents when she was born so the cold weather didn’t bother her. She tended to prefer it actually, the warm days of summer being to much for her and she would spend hours trying to thin out her coat even just a little or swimming when ever she found a cool stream or pond. But this, she liked this. The cool weather and her breath in the air. She could remember sitting for hours in the snow as a child, just watching it fall, sometimes with her parents and other times alone just her and the snow. Kind of like how she was doing now, enjoying the cool silence.

Some while away though there was a small, deserted but quaint log cottage, where inside resided a Ulaya, but not any sort who was normal.. He looked out the window, his face undisturbed as the wind gently brushed up against his face, blowing his hair gently in the current. He for some reason didn't feel all too effected to the cold. He wondered if it was a scarecrow thing. Although he was an Ulaya, some parts of him just seemed to be anything but usual for the average creature. One thing he had though that was usual for an animal was hunger, and his stomach wasn't afraid to show that. His paw patted against his stomach, who did a deep rumble. Apparently he went through the day too long without anything to eat. "Great.." He mumbled to himself. Well, fortunately for him he could possibly make it through the cold snow to try and find something good to eat, although there wasn't many trees around, and all the corn had died off for the season. He wondered if maybe he could survive a 'small' hike, to look around for a perfect settlement to gather up some food and return back to his somewhat home. ... He was lightly huffing and puffing, getting abit exhausted from trying to trudge along in the snow. But he wasn't going to be letting the snow get the better of him. he would find something at least decent to eat. "Hm?" His head tilted, curious at what he was looking at now. He wasn't close enough to notice the figure of white, but the red and green stripes of the scarf was quite noticeable for him. Although he couldn't see it as a bit of cloth. Calmly he moved over, the sounds of simple patting on the snow making out his movements. He lightly nudged the item he was looking over, and jumped lightly in surprise, to feel the warmth from the body of white, which he hadn't noticed. "W-what the!?"

The young adults mind hand been somewhere else, she hadn’t heard the male nearing her. Not really, the sounds of his paws padding on the snow had washed over her. But she was shaken from her day dreams when she felt the touch of another body, nudging at her then seeming to jump back. Her ears perked at the voice, the green and red tufts on her ear wiggling in the movement. Her head turned and her deep emerald eyes stared at the male a moment. She froze still when she saw him, gray eyes, a hat and coat, and blonde… hair? She knew he was a Ulaya, or at least she was sure he was. But he looked so different, she’d never seen someone like him before. Then again she had yet to mean many other Ulaya. It took her a moment, but she smiled in a friendly fashion, though the scarf mostly covered it, her voice soft as she spoke though slightly muffled. “ Hello, can I help you? ”

"I, uh.." He stuttered, abit startled to notice another fellow Ulaya instead of something else he couldn't consider being an alternative. He was wondering why she was flat out in the snow. He searched her and noticed that she wasn't entirely white, the tips of her ears, and her hair and tail being red and green, wearing a scarf around her neck, seeming to have it cover her mouth and nose as well. He tilted his head, looking into her eyes, wondering what she was thinking right now, having her see him, "I'm.. I'm sorry..I was looking around and trying to find something to eat.." He explained, sitting down and scratching the back of his head.

She gave a soft, cheerful laugh and shook her head. “ No need to apologize, no harm was done. I tend to blend in pretty well actually so I understand. ” She turned so she faced him better and could get a better look at the male. “ I haven’t seen much around here to eat and the waters frozen over to fish are out of the question. ” Her eyes shifted to his hat a moment, the green eyes staring as she grinned. " I like you’re hat by the way. My names Noel, you? ”
