We've been here over a year! Yay! Happy Belated SubForum Day! *big grin*
I thought this would be a great way to announce a contest to make some banners for the SubForum. Since contests are best with a prize, I'll donate this Brillant Mood Bubble (and maybe some more so we can have a second and third) from the Cash shop.
Some Rules: (and feel free to post about your own ideas for rules, if I appear to be missing any)
1. Must contain something that identifies this SubForum. 2. Must be able to be in a signature (so less than 500x500 and less than 1000kb - I think). 3. Must be able to completely pass the "Be Civil" rule (nothing borderline if at all possible)!
I think that banners should be encouraged to be neutral, but that positive banners about both sides should be allowed. However, I am willing to have three categories: Neutral, Pro-Life, Pro-Choice - if people want to do that instead (I'll put some options in the poll).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, I've set up a photobucket album that I will host banners from - so that the identity of the creator will not be determined from where the image is hosted (I'm smart like that). I'll just copy all sent entries into there.
Also, I've made sort of a "sample" banner (which won't be in the contest). I happen to like the 100x100 size (live journal icon sized) format, but any signature safe sized image will be just fine. I've set it up as a working link to the Rules (I'm not sure if we want to link the PLG home page, the Mission Statement, the Rules, or the SubForum).

I'll throw something in for the contest as well! Just let me go through my inventory to find something appropriate.

Since the result will be decided with a poll or a series of polls (depending on numbers of entries), crew should be allowed to enter. Also, people should enter as much as they desire to, and each entry should be considered separately.

I think, the submissions should be sent to Waters and then later on put up for judging. That way people won't know whose banner they're voting on. That way it'll be more impartial.

That way it'll be more impartial. Do you think this would become a popularity contest? Also, everyone should only vote for me. *wink* Yes - that sounds like a good idea, though I think, if we have a Pro-Choice category, it's going to be somewhat obvious which members might have made a given banner. *grin* So send submissions to me. Also, pictures of yourself naked. *laughs*

I may enter, but not for judging for a prize, just to make a banner. But that also depends if/when I have tiiime, damn university is a life sucker.
Coming right up with naked pictures!

I'm really unsure where the banners should link to. Should they link to the PLG home page? Our SubForum? The Mission Statement? The Rules? Naked chicks with guns?
