Well, apparently an anime based off of the Powerpuff Girls cartoon was released in Japan in 2006 and it might be coming to America (South America's premiere is tomorrow, actually). I'm almost tempted to check out the Japanese episodes on YouTube or something.

Because the US likes when anime comes it it (The anime-viewing public just wants more and more). I guess the Japanese were jealous that they didn't come up with the PPG first, so they made an anime version based off of it in an attempt to by-pass it. Who knows.

I know about that. Thier not the Powerpuff Girls of Townsville, they are a seperate set of Powerpuffs made from Chemical Z in Japan....right?

When I first heard about it I thought it was a joke.

Yup. A lot of the other characters are very similar to their American counterparts though.
