Battlefield...RANDOMIZER! >O
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE FOREST FIELD!
Thick trees sprout at random places throughout the field, some small while others seem to reach out and touch the ceiling of the stadium. As with ancient trees, some roots are seen being thrust above the ground which makes easy for a pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. The ground is littered with piles of pine needles, leaves, and sticks of all sizes; several tree trunks and rotting logs can be found scattered around as well.

"Hwaaaaaaa! Nine! Look! Trees!" Luna said, pointing at the large trees an awe. "It's just like Viridian!" She squeeled, running towards a tree to hug it. Unfortunately, the clumsy trainer tripped on a tree root before she was able to reach the large oak.
Thankfully, Nine darted infront of her trainer, bearing her body weight on her back to prevent her from falling. Her trainer was truely clumsy, she probably would have died several times over in a day if no one was looking out for her, which was one of the reasons she, on a whim, decided to act as this human's gaurdian.
"Thanks Nine!" Luna said, getting off of her pokemon and back on her feet. "Wow, I hope the other trainer isn't here yet, that sure was embaressing!" She chuckled. "Well, let's give it our best! Get in there you!"
And with that, Nine disappeared into the trees with Luna following. She needed to get a good view of the battle after all! Screw trainer boxes!

It's not official, but it's how I determine who starts a battle fairly xD ))

Jackie moved among the trees, with Ferrum by her side. "Wow. It's amazing! All of these trees indoors - they look like they've just been plucked fresh from the mountains!" Ferrum made a small kree in agreement. They both looked up at the giant trees of the stage, whose tops rose high above them. Ferrum's eyes grew wide, and she looked down at her clumsy clawed feet. Jackie put her hand on her side. "Don't worry. We'll just have to make sure that no one goes up in those trees."
The pair stopped abruptly as they caught sight of a giant black Ninetails and a girl at her side. "I think this is it." Jackie whispered. Ferrum replied with the slightest nod of her thick-skulled head, as her foreclaws clicked with the anticipation and anxiety of a coming battle!

Luna stopped running and tilted her head as she heard voices from ahead. Most likely her opponents, who else would wander into a field like this? "Okay Nine, let's turn up the heat! Overheat!" She ordered, jumping back a little. She didn't want to be TOO close to the range of her pokemon's attack. She clutched Prince's pokeball in her right hand, her backup incase Nine's attacks got too wild. Which was very likely.
Nine nodded, her eyes closed and her mind in deep concentration. Her tails flickered around her. In an instant, her tails spread out wide and her eyes snapped open, glowing red. A wave of heat and small amounts of fire spread over the field. The foilage started to catch sparks of fire, and soon the whole forest would follow, giving an obvious clue of Nine's presence.

Jackie's eyes grew wide as the wave of heat hit them. Ferrum pushed her roughly to the ground next to a log as the living trees nearby burst into flames. What!? What's happening? Jackie scrabbled on the forest floor, avoiding the embers igniting the leaf litter.
Ferrum shrieked as a burning branch fell squarely onto her back. "KRAaaaw-doss!" Hot, hot, HOT! After shaking it off, she sniffed the scaly skin on her back. A least a little toasted, that's for sure. Shaking the heat off of her back, she didn't wait for her trainer to give the order. Earthquake! Ferrum concentrated on the bare, burnt earth beneath her talons, and focused. The ground rumbled softly, than grew to an enormous ruckus, before large cracks split the roots of the forest, creating new, steep contours.
Jackie stood up among the charred remains of that part of the forest, only to be knocked over again by the tilting ground. "Great Earthquake, Ferr!" she shouted over the din, trying to scramble to her feet once more. Wow, we're really tearing this stage up!

"Whoa!" Luna exclaimed as the ground started to crack beneath her. The field was definately NOT safe anymore with the fire and uneven earth. She lost her balance from the shaking of the ground, falling backwards on the burnt foilage of the ground, letting out a small "Wha!" as she flailed for balance. Now on the ground with a very sore bottom, Luna attempted to stand up again, but not before one of the trees started to fall around her area.
A sharp call from her pokemon made the trainer look behind her, noticing the topling tree. With a small "eep!" she scurried to her right to avoid the incoming fall. Yes, the battlefield was very chaotic right now, it was like fighting an invisible opponent. It was interesting. It was THRILLING.
"Hey Nine, you okay there?" She asked, looking around for her companion. "Dark pulse!" She ordered. It was mostly an attack against their opponent, but it would also help her locate her pokemon. Of course, it would quite hurt if she was hit by it too...but she was used to it. Besides, she was wearing extra thick leggings today!
Nine was standing close to Luna, only stuck under a small sappling that had hit her tails. Following her trainer's command, she raised her paws and sent a strong pulse of dark energy all around her, not only knocking the sapling back a bit, but sending a wave of energy throughout theentire field and rocking up the trees even more

Chills crept down Jackie's spine just after she heard the other trainer command the attack. She was only getting a small effect of it, but it still shook her up. Looking around, she saw Ferrum shaking like a wet growlithe, recovering from the dark attack, and shaking off some fallen branches. "You okay, Ferrum?" she smiled as her pokemon nodded slightly, then turned her eyes to the ninetails. "Okay, let's try a good Shockwave, now." she said, ducking back behind her log-bunker.
Ferrum focused on the tingling in her paws as she gathered enough electrical power for the move. Her eyes began to glow, and they finally stretched wide just as she was bursting with energy. She sent it out in a beam, shooting towards where the ninetails stood.

Luna turned to the direction of the pulse, spotting Nine shaking off a few wood chippings from her fur. "Oh! THERE you are Ni-" She was cut off as Nine dashed to her direction, narrowly avoiding the beam. Now with her pokemon at her side and growling, ready for attack, Luna turned to the direction of her opponents.
"And look! There's are opponents! Hiiiiiii!" She called out, giving them a happy wave. "We couldn't find you at first, so we decided to shake things up a little and look! You guys did turn up! Hope we didn't hurt you too much!" She said, letting out a small laugh.
"Let me properly introduce myself! I'm Luna, future champion of Zatao! And this is Nine!" Luna pointed her thumb at her black and white ninetales, shooting out more waves of happyness. "How about you?" She asked.
By now, Nine would not stand for her adrenaline to die down, it would be troublesome for her to build it up again. She needed to attack NOW. Nine inhaled a quick breath before exhaling, sending out a heated flamethrower along with it.

Running through the trees, Ferrum and her trainer tried to regroup. That was, until the other trainer saw them. "Oh, Hi!" Jackie called, waving back. "I'm Jackie, and I'm going to be the head Officer of all of Zatao! And this is Ferrum. Ouch!" Ferrum had pushed her aside to dodge the flamethrower, but her tail was caught in the blaze. "Kraw-Dos!" she screeched, turning to face the Ninetails. "Sorry, Ferrum! I won't get in your way anymore." Jackie said, standing behind a tree. "Now try a good Head Smash!"
My favorite. Ferrum started running at top speed, her skull poised to hit the Ninetails squarely in the chest.

Luna gave Nine a light repriminding stare. "Com'mon Nine, it's not polite to attack while I'm talking!" She joked, recieving a snort from her pokemon as she lept up over the incoming cranidos.
"Bash it!" Luna ordered, running sideways herself to get out of the radius of the battle.
Nine obliged, her tails started to glow brightly in a split second before she swung them down on Ferrum's head from behind.

W-what!? Ferrum rolled head-over-heels and into a tree after the hit from behind. Ferrum hated to admit it, but timing that right took skill. Standing back up among the dust, she turned to Jackie.
"Yeah, I know." she said, staring at the black ninetails. "Keep it up though! Let's try a good shockwave!" she shouted, pointing at Nine.
Ferrum planted her feet, drawing electrical energy from the charged air around her. Her eyes glowed bright yellow before leaping forward, discharging the energy in one large wave. With any luck, the Ninetails would be too shocked to move.

"Eep~" Luna squeeked as she hopped backwards. "Up Nine!" She shouted as she ran a good distance from the attack. Being shocked by that attack DID look quite painful and she would not want to be one of of its targets.
Nine soon pushed herself into the air, flames suddenly flaring into existance from her paws. Amazingly, she was FLOATING in air, supported by the four flames she stood on. Of course, she couldn't hold it forever, but she could gain temporary flight with this method. And she needed to make it count.
"Confuse ray!" She heard her trainer yell as the girl turned around to face the battle again, a smirk still on her face. Oh? Were they going to try this new move? Might as well. Nine's eyes flashed red once more as a small glowing orb started to flicker above Ferrum's head. It eventually grew larger as it circled the smaller pokemon rapidly, faster and faster and faster, sure to confuse anyone who was already enticed to watch it.

The first determines wether you actually attack or not.
Odds - You attack the opponent
Even - You attack yourself
The second die is the one that determines damage, as usual.
1- Miss
2-5 - Normal damage

Jackie opened her eyes wide as the Ninetails floated swiftly above her Shockwave, and to safety. She was made a mental note to ask the other trainer just how her pokemon did such an incredible feat.
Ferrum blinked in amazement at the agile black Ninetails. Now it was doing something different... Her eyes were hypnotized as the small red orb formed above her head. Then it started to move. Hey, where are you going? She followed it with her eyes as it traveled around and around her body, and she began panting as she tried to keep up with the traveling orb.
"No Ferrum, you have to focus on the battle!" Jackie called, waving her arms wildly. "Try an Earthquake!"
Ferrum blinked at her trainer's words. The orb began to fade, leaving the Ninetails in her line of vision. Concentrating on the earth, she pulled herself back in a savage motion as the ground tore itself up in all directions. Huge chunks of rock jutted suddenly from the field, and Ferrum hoped fervently that one would hit the Ninetails.
