Madden Hohpe is a hard-working dance instructor at the Lady Elizabeth School of Contemporary Dance. He's been following the career of a young man from Queens who appears to be a very successful dancer in classes, but has never once appeared onstage. He's been told - very forcefully told - to recruit that young man for the most prominent dance school in Europe. Honestly, Madden could care less. Why should he bother with some little prissy brat from New York? But, because his job is on the line, he travels from Spain to New York and has Charlie Walker's dance teacher set up a meeting for them.
