*headdesk* These threads kill me. KILL ME. It is so dangerous to post how much you're worth in public. That way, hackers know who to target [i.e., who is worth their time]. You do not want to be worth the time of a hacker. Believe me. Please don't post how much you're worth unless it is in a hidden guild that no one else but those you really trust can see.

Beside, people post their worth in many ways every day,
such as posting their inventory,
getting other poeplet o Enviro them,
and even talking about how far they are on their quest.

ninja You never know... No, what I'm saying is, this isn't a hidden guild, and you don't know who doesn't post. I'm not saying anyone here is a hacker, but you can't ever be sure who might come across the guild and browse through it. If I sound paranoid, I'm sorry, but it's just I know a lot of people who were hacked right after they posted how much they were worth on Gaia. Especially if you're worth a lot of money. I just wanted everyone to be safe...

And what I'm saying is that we can protect ourselves from being hacked,
by not having a guessable password,
or visiting unknown sites,
while still letting people know our worths,
by letting people enviro us,
or posting our inventory,
or our worth,
or even having an expensive avatar.
It all depends on the person.
And considering I'm worth very, very, little compared to most of the ladies inthe guild,
I think I'm okay.

i think the last
really heated
discussion was
when there was
that thread about
teenage pregnancy
and abortion.
i kinda agree with
taka, though.
as long as you have
a really good pass-
word [as in, capitals
and lower-case mixed
with numbers] and
you avoid fishy websites,
posting your worth and/or
gold count can't do you
serious harm.
anyway, most hackers
can see who is or is not
worth their time by what
you're wearing or even
your join date.
