this one wins,
a sring broke on me as i was REPLACING IT.
i had to go out and boy a 2ND pack of strings.
(and the thicker 4 NEVER break so i have plenty of spares of those)

I know what you mean.
My extra string collection consists ONLY of the thick strings.
The thin ones always pop me.
Some times I wonder if my guitar is trying to get back at me for playng so much.

i know right?
i have enough e, a, dand g strings to supply me for the rest of me LIFE.
but the small ones break from abuse to often.
might be the 22 fret super bending to make it hit 3rd octave high e.
on another note, i fixed my bass,
(and the smallest string broke when i tuned it up)
but it plays nice.
