There were guards stationed on this side of the gate, Blocking the entrance to the village. "May we help you?" One of the Guards asked Takara.

Miroku walked through the gate, with his puppet and scrolls. When the guards asked him where he was going, he simply peeled off the rest of his mask, revealing the akatsuki member he was. He then vanished using Body Flicker Tecnique.
