Weapons and Artillery

Each member of F.E.A.R. and of the SFOD-D are equipped with generally three weapons--one primary weapon and two secondary weapons. However, due to certain bulk sizes, certain weapons allow personnel to only carry only one armament, sometimes two if they are sizable enough. Ranging from common firearms to advanced experimental weaponry salvaged from the Armacham Technology Corporation; the F.E.A.R. and SFOD-D personnel continuously work day and night to secure the future for mankind.

Description: One of the most common weapons between the SFOD-D, F.E.A.R. team, and Replica Army--this light-weight assault weapon is incredibly versatile and maneuverable. Though it is generally used for close-combat offensive and defensive tactics (due to its short-range accuracy), many soldiers on both sides continue to use this weapon in all areas. And even though it has one of the largest calibers and fastest firing rate, the power behind this weapon is quite inadequate. But in a unique fashion, this is the only weapon to be equipped with a built-in flashlight; located underneath the barrel.

Description: Designed by ATC scientists, this weapon was originally designated for construction purposes. But as the corporation grew towards weapon research, its original function was altered to that of a weapon. Powered by a highly pressurized gas system, this weapon works on hydraulics, rather than gunpowder. Also, instead of firing steel-jacketed lead bullets, each round fired is a carbonized steel rod about three centimeters long. This weapon is also considered to be best for the newest of recruits, for its accuracy is considered to be better than the ASP rifle. It is also incredibly powerful due to the high pressure and immense sizing to each round fired.

Though it may seem like and easy-sliding magazine, it takes extensive work to load and unload the one-time usage clip; making one vulnerable and an easy target while rearming.

Description: Despite its compact size, this weapon is extremely heavy due the way it functions. However, this weapon is by-far one of the deadliest known to all of mankind, for a blast from this particle beam has the capability of tearing apart molecules; reducing one to a bloody cloud. Also, this weapon of the future is equipped with an electronic scope; allowing to magnify up to twenty-fold, and it's accuracy is unparalleled by any weapon created. The only downside to this weapon is that between each shot, it takes about five seconds to recharge before firing again.

Description: Considered by Armacham to be an upgrade from their Particle Weapon, the Laser Carbine is overall a better weapon. Exceedingly lighter than the Type-7, this weapon is more user-friendly. Also, due to its external usage of a power system, the Carbine is granted an extended life than its regular clip-sized power supply. However, due to the size and weight of the external power system (roughly the size of a backpack), it does not allow one to carry much more than the laser.

Description: Originally constructed for helicopters, this portable version of the TG-2A was introduced via private corporation. Only those with exceeding strength tend to wield this gun, such like the genetically altered Replica soldiers in Fettel's army. Occasionally, a regular soldier from either side will be able to equip himself/herself with this immense weapon, however it will hinder them greatly. They will not be able to run, jump, swim, or even be able to climb ladders. But even though it greatly impedes one's maneuverability, the rate of fire is unparalleled. Shooting at an average of twenty rounds per second, this weapon is definitely the key weapon for offensive and defensive strategies.

Projectiles

Many advancements have gone throughout the evolution of grenades and other various explosives. Not only have there been improvements, but also there have been add-ons to the inventory of weapons.

N6A3 Fragmentation Grenade
(Seven per person)

These standardized grenades are pretty much equipped to all forms of the military--F.E.A.R., Replica, Nightcrawlers. They have a fuse time of three seconds and have a blasting range of two meters in diameter. They double as a flashbang grenade, but only in the sense that it causes temporary deafness.

AT-S Proximity Mine
(Five per person)

These mines were developed as defensive traps. They possess more explosives than a fragmentation grenade, and have a sensory camera upon the top of the mine that surveys the area in a three hundred sixty degree range. However, the limitation of the camera is small; only permitting the sensory to a maximum of a half a meter in radius, but a triple in blast. The other downfall to this land mine is that the sensory camera is a red light that can be seen; pending on conditions.

M77 Remote Bomb
(Ten per person)

These particular bombs are considered the deadliest out of all the explosives. With a blast radius of three meters, these bombs can easily clear out a group of enemies without question. Also, with its special adhesive surface, this bomb is capable of sticking to any surface, including Teflon. The only downside is that if there is an electromagnetic field within the area, it will upset the detonation signal. But, on a plus side, the detonation distance is estimated to be about a maximum of thirty meters.

AP-5 Gun Turret
(Three per person)

These specially made guns are designed to defensive tactics. However, since they possess basic AI computer systems, they cannot differentiate between friend or foe. Mounted with a small .22 caliber machine gun, this automated gun is capable of moving around in a three hundred sixty degree rotation; one hundred eighty degree hemisphere. Much like the remote bombs, these gun turrets are capable of sticking to many surfaces, however only the bottoms are able to do so. And once they are attached to a surface, they automatically engage; firing at whatever their camera senses. And if they are destroyed, they emit a small explosion that is blinds enemies within a half a meter radius.
