The slender body of the yellow lioness padded quietly towards the borders. It was becoming a habbit of hers to arrange to meet banda outside the pride away from prying eyes and the rules of the pride where they were safe from harm and they could enjoy each others company without any fears or stipulations.
Her pale lilac eyes peered through the darkness as she slipped between the trees to their meeting place, it was a secluded little copse where birds sang high above and the scent of flowers enticed the sences.
Sitting int he center of the little clearing she let a sigh roll over her lips. She could think of no better place than this for she and Banda to spend their free time together. No better place in the world.

Bright paws raced through the dense jungle, a frown on the face of the paws owner. Night was slowly approaching, time for him to meet Gurami. Banda had no necklace or bracelet this time (as much as he wished he did). Every time he saw Gurami Banda wanted to give her gifts, praise her, be with her. It must have sounded silly, a grown lion falling head over heels like a cub with his first crush. His heart pounded as he entered the clearly, and raced over to Gurami. Nuzzling her with a dreamy smile.
"I missed you..." He mumbled, a bit embarrassed at how much he realized he really had missed her. Only one day, and he was acting as if years had passed.
"I met an insane cheetah cub while you were gone. She thought I was a hyena and clawed at my face!" Banda turned to the side to show Gurami a section of his cheek cover with little scrapes, still red and sore.

Gurami greeted her mate with a loving nuzzle, her own exhuberance at being back beside him fully as extatic as his. "I missed you too." She purrs, she always felt saddened when she was away from Banda, but they coul;dn't be together all the time it just wasn't proper pride etiquette, their evening retreat though she was so glad of it, a place where they could be alone away form prying eyes.
"An insane cheetah cub?" She raised a brow looking at the claw marks on his face and lapping over them gently with her tongue. "that had to be an interesting meeting." She croons. "Did you go far on your hunt today?" She whispers curiously, he must have been outside the prides borders to have met a cheetah.

"I'm glad you did. I felt silly for feeling so needy." Banda confessed with a timid shrug before touching her nose with his. He cknew the pride had a different idea of what two mates she be like. The male should be on hands and knees for the female, and the female should never be truly in love with him. But what Gurami and Banda had was special, nothing a few pride rules could tear apart. As far as Banda knew, he and Gurami were absolutely in love.
"Farther then yesterday. She sprang out of nowhere, called me a hyena, and then launched at my face! Then she acted like I was the one attacking. Honestly, parents these days. What were they teaching her?" Whenever Banda spoke of cubs, it was always a very delicate subject. The idea of cubs was more then he could handle, and thought a male and female was family enough. Cubs sometimes tore the two apart, and Banda couldn't even imagine that happening with Gurami. He graciously accepted Gurami's licks, feeling like the little cuts were already healing.

Gurami gave a little chuckle, she was amused , to say the least, about what he said of the cub. "Well I'm sure when we have our own Banda we'll discover for ourselves." Gurami knew that one day they would have cubs it was simply a waiting game for that day to happen. She was fine with the idea, especially since Koi had put it in her head.
Sighing gently she padded up to Banda and rested her cheek on his chest a soft puurr rolling over her lips. "Perhaps she was alone out there Banda, sometimes cubs are left without family, my mother went missing when I was very young I can barely remember her, perhaps that little cub was in a similar situation, it can be very frightening."

Banda stood for a moment, a bit frightened about the cub statement. He tried not to let it show.
"Our own...? Yes...our own." He managed to smile, hoping Gurami hadn't noticed his touchiness around the subject. He gave her cheek a lick before resting his chin lightly on her head. Cubs...were something else. He had always imagined Gurami being very motherly and a good mom to any children that came her way, but his children...it made Banda stop to think. He tried to skip over the topic in his head, still unsure about this whole cub thing.
"I suppose...It would scare a cub...Well, in that case I hope she managed to find a goof foster family, or a kind cheetah to take her in." Banda grinned, and giggled.
"I just hope she doesn't mistake them for hyenas too!"

Gurami looke dup at her big mate for a long moment. Was he worried about cubs? Gurami partially feared that if she did not have any cubs that he would be ferreted away from her. Of course hardly anyone had taken note of Banda at the moment but that didn't put her mind at ease.
Flickering her tail she tried to let her mind leave the subject, after all, this was supposed to be a fun time for the both of them not a time to worry. Smiling she lifted her gaze to the sky, the sun was slowly setting and the stars were appearing like tiny pinprics in the sky. She sighed, though the sigh was a happy sigh and her lilac eyes turned on Banda.
"Yes I hope she finds her way in the world too, I'm sure she will, cheetahs are wiley beasts." She chuckles lightly licking the tip of his nose.

When the stars were just beginning to appear was a magical time of day. Everything was so calm and peaceful, Banda felt like he could just float away.
"She will. She was a fighter from what she did to my cheek. Who knows? Maybe she did have a family, a good family with kind parents and many siblings. Maybe she was a princess of a pride, or even a soon to be queen!" Banda grinned glanced down at Gurami, it was possible, wasn't it? He blushed slightly as she licked his nose, and nudged her with a paw in return.
"I'm glad I came with you, to the pride. It's difficult and new, but I'm glad I came." The pride itself was strange to Banda, but at least now he could say Yes! I'm a pride.

Gurami smiled softly nuzzling in to his thick mane her mind dancing with the thought of the evening with Banda to come. The stars shimmered softly against the deep blue sky and her eyes reflected their glow.
A small laugh echoes from her lips. "Perhaps, anything is possible if you beleive nough." Settling against him to star gaze the pale yellow lioness let her mind relax. there was nothing but herself and Banda and thatw as all they needee right now.
"It just wouldn't be home without you Banda. I really don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come back with me."

Banda grinned, pressing his head into her cheek playfully.
"I know what I would have done, stalked you until you promised to be my mate!" A light laugh erupted from him, making his whole body shake with each chuckle. He glanced back down at Gurami, giving one last chuckle.
"To think, I still might be out in that clearly talking to flowers if you hadn't come along." A deep purr sounded from Banda's chest, his eyes closing for a minute before he asked quietly,
"You think the gods made this happen? Saw us and thought, 'they are meant to be'?" His eyes wavered off to a bright bright star, flickering against the dark sky. Banda could almost hear it say, 'no, you did this. You chose each other' He smiled before glancing once again down at Gurami.

Gurami's eyes closed gently her pale yellow form pressed lovingly against her big dark maned mate. She listened to his words pondering what he asked. "I think fate has something to do with it, but the rest is mere chance and coincidence. Who would think I would find soemone as wonderful as you on my travels?" She grinned her pale eyes dancing playfully. She could think of noone better to spend her days with.
She stood slowly then her smile never weavering. "Lets go deeper." She giggles and bounds a few steps away from him. "Lets escape for an evening and just be ourselves." She purred taking on a playful stance ehr butt in the air her tail wriggling above her and a gleeful growl rolling over her maw. This was time just for her and Banda and she didn't want to waste it.

Banda wished he could thank whatever god had lead Gurami's paws to him, whispered in her ear 'take that route today'. Everything seemed to perfect for it to just happen on it's own, someone must have been the master behind this whole plan.
"Who knows." Banda purred with a smile, licking Gurami's ear. His chest felt cold and empty after she had walk forward, and after a playful tug on her tail he continued.
"First...You'll have to catch me..!" He almost sang, going one note higher each time. He bounded off into the thick vegetation, but not before nudging Gurami's cheek. He leaped off into the foliage, wait for his mate to chatch up if she fell behind.

Of course Banda didn't have to wait very long the pale lioness leapt after him with a happy bounce in her step, her gentle laughter echoeing through the trees. This was just what she wanted, just what she needed time alone with her Banda.
Gurami giggled softly chasing off after her orange maned mate her tail high in the air, her head lifted and ears percked forwards. "Oh I'll catch you!" she puurrs leaping off in to the darkness after him her spirits high and her joy even higher.
