Why was she looking so.. stunned? The orange lion hesitated, stepping a bit closer as the lioness stared at him with blank eyes.

"Avani... "

I love you.

A voice whispered in his mind, a familiar voice-- his voice. But there was something false about it. Like that line, those three words, had been said before. But they'd been a lie. Something was wrong. "Avani, whats wrong? "

She took a few moments to recover. This lion, the male that'd led her through the swamp when she was covered in mud and couldn't see, he was him. The one lion she was truly mad at. "So you're back for more, huh? " She sneered, looking away slightly with her brows furrowed.

How had he found her here?!

He blinked. Back for more..? What was she talking about? but then it hit him. This Avani.. she knew him! So much was his relief, his luck to have found someone that knew him, that he completely forgot she was mad at him.

"You know me?! How? " He said, though he was stil lwearing that confused look, which was, frankly...

A big mistake.

she blinked, staring at him in disbelief. He had got to be kidding. He better be kidding. "How am I supposed not to, love? " She stressed the last word bitterly, folding her ears back angrily. How dare he act like he didn't know her! "Look, whatever it is you want, you're not getting it. Go find some other one to fool! " She sneered, he legs beginning to grow shaky. This lion..

Khajag. This was Khajag.

"Just leave! " She hissed, deciding it better to trudge off herself. She didn't go Gharadi's way, though. She didn't want this lion to know of him. So without another word to him, she trotter right past the orange lion, heading for the outside.

The orange male blinked, looking dumb struck at the sudden bitterness in Avani's voice. Something was.. terribly wrong. However, didn't she get he had no idea what the heck had gone on?! He frowned, pulling his lips backwards and sneering to himself. Moments after Avani left, he could still hear her paws in the soil.

But she was the only one he'd met that knew who he was-- what were the chances of him finding someone else?! Determined, the lion went out after her, walking the way back towards 'the outside'. When he caught sight of her, she was already just getting out in the open. "Hey! " He shouted afer her, catching up speed then stopping right infront of her, head low.

"What the heck are you talking about?! " He said, thought probably should have tried sounding a bit friendlier. "I have no idea who you are! "

As she left him behind, there was one thing in her mind; anger, but not only that. A bit.. a bit of fear, as well. Khajag was larger, stronger than she was. Frankly, he could be terribly dangerous, perhaps she should've hid away with Gharadi-- but Khajag was dangerous! He could hurt Gharadi too, or his kids... She couldn't let it happen!

however, she stopped, looking up when the orange lion blocked her, ears perked, but she wasn't entirely surprised. "I said leave! " She hissed, ignoring everything he said, even though she probably should have. "I have a mate now, a real mate, just leave me alone! " With that, she moved around him, dodging his shape and his cold blue eyes before hurrying her step a bit, but not running yet. She couldn't look afraid!

He folded his ears back. What was this crazy lioness talking about?! He listened to her, unlike she was listening to him. With an irritated flick of his tail, he turned to watch her retreating form for a few moments. He should perhaps be a little more understanding, get a clue..

But he was getting angry. Why couldn't she just help him out?! "You don't understand! I have no idea what you're talking about! " He snarled, following her for a few steps.

Why was he insisting?! She twitched an ear back, lashing her tail angrily. "Of course you do! " She hissed, folding her ears back. "I'm Aani, remember?! " She snarled, lowering her head as the fur on her back prickled, stopping for a few moments.

"Stop acting so innocent! You know exaclty what I'm talking about! " She hissed, before turning round to move off into a trot.

No, I DON'T! He growled. She wasn't cooperating! Angry, the orange lion couldn't think of another calmer way to let her know what was going on. He watched her open the distance between them. Maybe he should just go, leave her, like she was telling him to...

No.

He had to know who he was, this might be his only chance; he needed his name, in the least! With a snarl, the lion picked up speed, anger and rage boiling up withing him.

She blinked, looking back in alarm to see the lion coming after her. No.. No.. After a moments hesitation, Avani broke into a sprint, running as fast as she possibly could, driven by fear. But the lion was high on her heels in moments.

Oh, Avani, what had you gotten into?!

Finally close enough, the lion leapt over her, snarling as he pinned the olive female, not even noticing as his claws unseathed from his pads, digging into her skin. He forced her to the ground, pressing his larger body against hers to keep her down, and despite her squirming, the orang semale had her pinned beneath him.

"Stop struggling! " He snarled, his mouth next to her ear as a hind paw scraped against her side, claws from his front paws sinking into her shoulder, one against the lioness' neck as if to force her to not look away. "Listen to me! "

She gasped at the sudden pressure thrown over her, soon on her belly on the ground. No.. he had her, he had her again! She kicked and flailed her paws until she felt the claws on her shoulder and side, forcing herself still as his squeezed her skin.

"No, no.. Leave! Please.. " she whishpered, before yanking again, trying to get away.

"You are not leaving untill you tell me! WHAT IS MY NAME? " He snarled, pressing his cheek against her neck and talking right into her ears. "Who am I? Whats my name? Who are you? What happeneed? " He asked all the questions he could think of.

"Talk1 " He snarled as the female simply shut up, lashing his tail out as he held her down, claws dragging across her neck and until her shoulders.

She wailed as she felt the claws drag across her body, ducking her head o that hed chin was almost closh enough to touch her check pulling one paws over her face.

"Please.. Just leave.. Don't hurt me anymore.. "

He blinked, growling as she didn't answer anything. He did successfully lower his voice, though he still kept her down with his claws, ears close to his skull, hidden in his bright mane as blood slowly seeped over his paws. He didn't care.

"Answer me! " He said, his voice a dark whisper in her ears.

She hesitated, now not only terrified, and upset, but utterly confused. Why.. why did he need to learn his name? why did he insist on not knowing what had happened?

".. Khajag. Your name is Khajag.. "
