"WORDS I CANNOT SPEAK" If only I could tell her but no words can I speak.
The distance is so great my arms they cannot reach.
Even if we were side by side the distance would seem like miles.
My heart is filled with many words but all I can do is smile. Dyas laid on the couch, staring blankly at the wall infront of her, a hardback book limply in her hand. The masquerade ball was today...her father told her they had too much work to do for it. That was fine though...She didn't really want to go anyway. Adora probably would be there. Adora. She closed the book to lightly place her hand ontop of it, shutting her dual colored eyes. Azure. He was right...her father was right...She should have known better. Just as with Fre and her sister Arlie, Azure had dissapeared without a trace. Was she to be abandoned as well? Perhaps it was the curse of the family. What made Dameon so lucky? Why did Junior suceed? Why did Shageki fail? Who decided these things? If the fae of love lost in relationships, what chance did she and her father have? Her eyes half opened, sad and calm. They were on human phycology now, a topic her father had thought a nice light break from their normal studies. He had spoken earlier of next week visiting tartara, since she had an illness Raken had earlier concluded as bipolar disorder. She was starting to show the signs of depression, though she had read up on the symptoms in time to hide them from her father. Knowing him he would try to travel off the island to get her medication. She softly sighed and closed her eyes. Maybe...having skitzophrania wouldn't be so bad. At least, you were never lonely...

Azure's left hand was in a fist in front of his mouth and he was chewing on his thumb nervously as he paced back and forth. He had to find Dyas and apologize for disappearing and a load of other things. Azure wasn't scared of Dyas, in fact he was anxious to see her. After his long time away from her he missed her desperately. What Azure was afraid of was the unknown. He had been gone for so long since he had cowered into the forest and he wasn't sure what he was coming back too. Azure was sure that Adora had told Raken everything on the night of Halloween. For all he knew Raken could have moved Dyas somewhere he didn't know of, or perhaps she was heavily guarded. The worst thought that had come to his mind was that Dyas had given up on Azure and had found someone her father approved of to be with. Azure wasn't exactly sure if Raken would ever actually approve of anyone for Dyas, but in Azure's mind anything was possible. Azure had tried to plan out what he would say to Dyas if he saw her earlier before he left the Pae'il Headquarters, but he knew that even if he practiced it a billion times it wouldn't be what he said. What he said had to come from his heart so that Dyas would know how genuine he was. She had probably lost any trust of him after he ran away. Azure stopped pacing and lowered his left hand back to his side and continued on the path towards the cave where Dyas hopefully still resided. His steps grew quiet as he approached the cave and looked around himself nervously.

Indeed...Raken sat at the entrance, reading a book as he kept gaurd. A shadowed tiger sat next to him, dozing almost as it watched a snowflake fall every once in a while. He knew. And he was not pleased. Idly he reached over to scratch inbetween the great cats ears, his thumb turning the page to reveal the next chapter. Mmm...so there were different branches of depression...interesting...

Azure halted in his footsteps, frozen in fear. He had spotted Raken in front of the cave. Thankfully, his head seemed too deep buried in a book for the adult to take notice of Azure. He quickly, and as quietly as he could, side-stepped until he was hopefully out of Raken's sight. Azure took a deep breath, he was relieved that Raken hadn't moved Dyas to hide her away from Azure, but he still had the obstacle that Raken was outside guarding the entrance of the cave. He had no idea how to get around Raken and get to see Dyas. Maybe he was so deep in his book that he wouldn't even notice Azure slip past him, Azure highly doubted it. He moved his head over slightly so that he could see Raken and a shiver went down his spine.

He lightly scratched the tigers head as it lifted, sharp preditorial eyes catching Azure's movement. The male looked up. Nothing. Smoothly he formed a second orb in him, a hawk soon standing beside him. "Survay." He spoke quietly, watching as the bird lifted up into the sky. It probably was just a bird or a squirrel or another snowflake that got the big cats attention, but then again, Raken was just paranoid enough to not take any risks. Amara was still a constant threat.

Azure saw the shadow bird flying high above him. "No, go away. You don't see me." Azure whispered as he frowned up at the bird. He absolutely hated Raken's power, it had gotten him in trouble so many times. Azure wasn't sure what to do, should he just expose himself now or wait for the bird to rat him out?. Either way he was one hundred percent screwed. Azure wandered out from where he had hidden himself, his eyes displayed the large amount of fear he held. "Hello Mr. Raken Sir..." Azure squinted slightly as the words came from his mouth as he announced himself to the adult.

He watched the bird circle around, looking down at the ground, slowly swooping lower as it caught its prey-Raken smoothly stood, the tiger immediatly standing as well. The hawk disapeared in a plume of black smoke, disapearing instantaneously as he focused on Azure. He walked forwards, towards the teen. The tiger obediately following. "What are you doing here?"

Azure took a step backwards as Raken moved closer. "Actually thats a very good question... what am I doing here?" In the sudden rush of fear and adrenaline that had filled Azure's body he had forgotten why he was there. Azure looked panicky as he stood there ready to run for it if Raken or the shadow that followed him lunged for him or anything like that. "I'm here to see Dyas." He remembered.

The male stopped no more then three feet from Azure, reaching into his belt loop to pull free one of his two midnight daggers. He tossed it in the air before expertly catching the hilt in hand. "You know...if applied to one of my shadows...this blade will quadrouple their speed, strength and endurance..." The black creature beside him growled menacingly. "She doesn't want to see you Azure."

Azure looked at Raken, trying to read the adult's gaze. He was unable to figure anything out from it. "I don't believe you." Azure told Raken, it wasn't like Dyas could directly tell Raken that she didn't want to see Azure. "Wouldn't you want Dyas to know I came back for her... instead of spending the rest of her life wondering..." Azure spoke softly and sincerely.

"Azure...Azure...Azure." He slipped the dagger back into his beltloop, giving the male a firm look. Deathly serious. "Her birthday is coming up in a little less then a month. One year old. And out of the eleven months I have had with her, I have only had the misfortune of seeing her cry, once. She was a quiet baby, and as a child when she fell and scraped her knee, she would only close her eyes and wait out the pain. Just once." The tiger crouched low, tense. "That was about one month ago, when I told her that Tristen found your room abandoned. I could hear her gasps of breath all through the night, her pillow soaked through by morning. She hasn't cried again since."

Shivers crawled up and down Azure's body as he imagined Dyas crying over him. Goosebumps covered every surface of his body as pain filled his heart. He couldn't bare to think about how he had hurt Dyas, how much he had hurt her... "I didn't mean to. I wasn't thinking and I was being selfish..." Azure tried to explain to Raken but that was just it. There was no explanation for what he had done. "There is no excuse..." Azure said as he lowered his head in shame of himself.

"And you want me to permit you to see her...when her mother walked out on us, as you had on her." He slowly shook his head, snapping his fingers to have his creature straighten as well. "Go home Azure...you have as good as forfeited your relationship with her, and not just in my eyes."

"But I'm..." Azure stopped, he wasn't going to try and make excuses for himself. That would only make things worse it seemed. "Please..." He pleaded with Raken, "I just want to see her... she's the reason I came back..." Azure looked up at Raken, hoping the man had some soft spot somewhere in his heart. "I won't leave her ever again, I've realized what I've done..."

"...Then go." The tiger vanished as he let go of the shadow orb. "If you really want to, go. She's reading inside." Now...why was raken doing a 180? Simple...as he had said, it wasn't just in his eyes. Dyas' trust for the other was nothing, her heart crushed. Something had died in her when she cried through the night, her natural light extinguished. She was done with the angelic. She could stand no more.
