The other day it was a butterfly, today, a lizard was the little creature that Skuld was stalking. It was an odd little thing, it had longer scales on its back and tail, and flat ones everywhere else. It was pretty fast, but she always caught up and poked at it with a claw. She was slowly coming to understand, also, why her own claws weren't retractable. Skuld was always asking "Why?" about the various aspects of life, and this lizard was only just one piece of the puzzle. She'd have to know all the pieces to get the full picture, however, and so the little cheetah cub never stopped investigating the various living things she ran across.
She followed the lizard blindly across the open savannah, not noticing if anybody was around. The reptile finally rested on a rock... If the cheetah cub could pounce on it, she was sure she'd catch it.
She crouched down and snuck a little closer like Siri had taught her, then when she was close enough, she leapt at the little thing, landing on its tail, which promptly detached and the lizard scurried off. Astonished, the cub sat and stared at the wriggling tail, wondering what had just happened and immediately trying to answer why.

Kioo'vunjika didn't usually approach other creatures of his own free will. That was to say, he didn't approach big cats. He was used to being scorned and ridiculed, having to fight people with his tongue. But the little creature looked amusing so he couldn't help himself.
Over he went light in step. He thought to himself that maybe he'd get some enjoyment out of it. And of course by enjoyment, he meant teasing. He was better than a juvenile at it and felt no shame about it. There was the small factor that he had to do good deeds but there was no one around who needed him to do one. So why not just enjoy himself today?

Skuld swiveled when she heard someone approaching. The girl had the common knowledge that only fools were unaware of their surroundings, and she was no different. Skuld watched as the mostly-dark figure approached. She was ready to flee in an instant, though a cub cheetah was still slower than an adult lion. And yet... there was a slight air of confidence to her. "Hello there," she said to the stranger, placing her paw on the wriggling tail (though, it's rate of wriggles was slowing and Skuld took note of it.)
The first thing she took in about the stranger was... his oddly colored nose. Blue nose? She'd never seen such a thing in her life! She clearly stared at her nose with an odd look for a very brief moment before realizing what she was doing and replacing the look with a smile. "I'm Skuld, who're you?" She didn't move other than her tail twitching

He almost chortled in acknowledgment as she stared at his nose. He wasn't used to people staring at it thus making it amusing. He moved his head into poses, making fun of the situation. Acting as though he were a graceful noble - which wasn't too far from the truth-, he bowed shortly but with flourish. "I am Kioo'vunjika." Hopefully she wasn't well-educated or she might know that his name meant "broken glass".
He looked down at the lizard. "And what'd he ever do to you?" he laughed with a tease. Of course, he shouldn't be talking. He'd play with and torture lizards too.

Skuld was starting to like this lion, he had a sense of humor! "Nice to meet you, Kioo'vunjika," Skuld said with a bow of her own, though it wasn't as dramatic as his, but she had attempted to match it.
To his question, though, her face grew terribly distraught. She looked down at the tail again, it had ceased it's wriggles all together by now. "I didn't mean to hurt it, I really didn't! I just wanted to catch it and look at it, but I cut off its tail and the rest of the lizard ran away!" She lifted her paw to reveal that, indeed, the tail was lizardless. "I really didn't mean to hurt it..." She said, turning sorrowful eyes up to the adult. Skuld just had to catch it, curious little cub that she was. She felt very bad about it, if only she could apologize to the actual lizard for splicing its tail off...
"Do you think the lizard part of it will be ok?" She asked. She liked to think it would be, but she wanted reassurance.
