He Says He’s My Father by Riosuu
He yells at me He calls me names He calls me a pig He tells me I’m worthless He doesn’t need me He doesn’t need my aggravation He wants me to answer He asks who I think I am He yells when I answer yes or no He doesn’t hear me think “don’t speak, it’ll only make it worse” He says I must be a drug addict He implies that I’m a slut He wonders where I get my attitude from He says there must be something wrong in my head He can’t imagine why I treat a rabbit better than him He says he’s going to call the police He says he’s going to send me away He says he’s going to give me up to the streets He says I’m going to get it He says no one wants me He says no one wants to hear about me He says no one cares about me He says he never hit me He says he’s been nothing but kind to me He hugged me this morning saying that he loves me He says he’s my father.

There's some raw anger in that poem, it feels very honest and real.

I love the style, and I feel the pain pouring from each short line. It makes me want to cry. crying
If you don't mind me asking, is this really about you??

You should write one about what he's going to do when he's all old and has to rely on his children for survival. evil
