Alright, So at my school there a couple friends of mine that love to play games. One of my friends has been playing Revenant Wings as his first Final Fantasy....you can see the wrongness of that. He has been playing through it and saying how it is so much fun. So is tep in to show him how wrong he was.
(I'm not saying that FF12 RW is a bad game...it just wasn't very great...)

Well I have had FF3 for the DS since release and I decided to show him what he has been missing. The day he got it his attitude flipped. He now knows what he's missed for so many years. He's getting all excited to finish the game and start on the others in the series.

-have you guys spread your wealth of FF
-would you lend out your games

(PS I'm almost finished with FF12:RW.....I want to get everything)

That's such a nice story. ^^

There aren't many people at my school who like gaming and aren't jerks, but those few I'm always bugging to play more Final Fantasy. I am currently focusing on a friend who has X, X-2, XII, and Kingdom Hearts I and II... She wants to play the others, but alas, cannot stop playing Tales of Symphonia long enough to do so.

I've always been willing to lend out games, but I learned something very important: Only lend them to people you see regularly. I still haven't gotten IX back. crying

I can say that I've spread a pretty large amount of the final fantasy since my falling in love with FF6 nearly 11 years ago. Since I own almost all the FFs sharing the love is easy. The only one of them I refuse to loan out is my collector's edition of FFXII.

I was recently at my old community college, and I decided to drop by the anime club to see if anyone I knew was still around. It was pretty sad, though everyone there was head-over-heels for almost any anime, none of them had any gaming prowess at all. I decided that this tragedy had to be ended. So I packed up my games, my nes, snes, PS1, PS2, x360, PSP, and my DS. I got to the meeting about 30 minutes early and set them all up, and put the xbox online and got FFXI running. With 7 FFs running simultaneously I knew everything would go successfully.

People came in and were pretty surprised about what they met there, but they enjoyed it too. While some people only seemed to like faster gameplay, most of them really got into it. FFX, XI, and XII were the biggest hits there. I even got a few of them saying that they'd go buy the games asap. Some of the others, people who were in more administrative positions in the club, were saying that they were thinking of starting a gaming club. I told them to make sure they can handle catering to all the FPS assholes they'll find. sweatdrop

I feel bad about one thing though. Someone stole my copy of FFIX... it really only pains me as a collector because it's gonna be impossible for me to find another version of it that isn't greatest hits and still works. More thankfully, I'm glad no one stole my DS or my PSP cuz I still use those alll the time. xp

Wow you both had problems with a FFIX "thief".......that's really odd....and slightly humorous seeing what the main character is like. xp
(he's a thief right? I still haven't gotten up to FFIX yet.....I can't find a good copy anywhere)

Raven, I know how it's like with those kinds of kids. The Gamer Club that I've created, and...resurrected....anyway the kids in there have dwindled down over the past two years and the few left tend to be a bit rude and give the club a bad name....something like Maurice..just kidding.

I really like your story Maluc, that is the most over-the-top thing done in the name of final fantasy that I've heard in a while. I'm hoping to get more people into these kinds of games at the club I mentioned. I want to show them the not-so-distant past that they missed. Like Legend of dragoon and the previous incarnations of Final Fantasy, not to mention some MMORPGs I've persueded our school to unlock. 3nodding

Yup, Zidane's a thief. Oh, by the way, you haven't played IX? evil I didn't know that! What a tragedy! But I love Dragoon. User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. It was the first RPG I ever beat.

I've tried to start an anime club that would incorporate gaming at my school with a friend, but we couldn't even get it started because we couldn't find a teacher who would be willing to supervise... Also we couldn't find enough people... Also it probably wouldn't have gotten approved anyway. v_v That does sound awesome, Maluc. Must've been fun.

Try male science teachers Raven, they seem to be suckers for it. As for recruiting people... .start with the popular stuff. If it's an anime club you want, advertise the popular stuff like: Cowboy Bebop, Inu Yasha... stuff like that. For a gaming club same thought, just make sure they're multiplayer games, unless you can bring the amount of consoles I did. Halo, Marvel vs Capcom, Vitrual Fighter, Guitar Hero/Rockband..... for just a few suggestions. You'll need things like that to reel people in.

Well that story I told wrote was what happened about a monoth or two ago. And since then I've gone back a few times. I introduced them to Einhander the yesterday. I guess most of them prefer the side-scrolling shooter to the RPG.

Oh and the guy brought back my copy of FFIX. He said his friend took it, I don't know if it's true or not but at least he brought it back.

Which MMOs are you talking about Kazuma?

I seriously wish I could do something like that, but sadly, all my friends are retired FF fans (they got me hooked on the series, and then left me with no one to talk to... sweatdrop ).

Pitiful company though we may be...

I've pretty much lost my drive for the club... I've never really been one for setting stuff like this up, and I'm too shy in real life to go around asking people about it anyway. Meh, I'm good without it.

I normallly don't lend out because 1 no one asks to borrow and 2 it would take too long to get it back. I only have one freind and the internet that i casn talk about FF with.

One of my friends got me into it. She told be a few details. Also that movie Spirits Within kinda made the final push. Sad huh since that movie seamed to be disliked. Also that same friend let me borrow her VIII till I got my own.

The only person I managed to convinced to also play was my own brother who started with Final Fantasy X, while I started at VII. He was the one that got me my PS2 and my first FF other than VII which was X-2.

One of my cousins was into Final Fantasy longer than me. However his small effort to get me to start playing went unnoticed. It isn't help with him calling X-2 XII. He was a fan longer than me, and any non-fan can figure out that X-2 does not mean 12.

Both me and my brother started playing in 2005 [Even though I originally got it 2004]

Anyway I didn't know many Final Fantasy fans while I was at school. 2 out of 4 of my friends were actually fans. 1 out of 2 of the FF non-fans played Kingdom Hearts instead. The one the left out didn't like video games.

Even though I seamed to play a lot there are only three I actually got to the end of.

That's why you make postersand set up a meeting time... people will show if they're interested. If not.. then it won't happen no matter how hard you try.
