User ImageThe Western Island: Never, ever EVER Fly to the tip of the Western Island. Those who do rarely survive. The few survivors often have their wings torn, their feet burned, and their minds gone.

If you wish to visit the Western Temple, you must fly to its southern beach and follow the trail north on foot, paying respect to the Goddess of the Island. At the volcano's lip stands two Gigantic statues, crafted skillfully and in high detail out of volcanic rocks. One of them is a group of Seven Sandpainters, their wings spread as the bow, meeting to create an Alter on which tributes can be placed, jutting over the lip of the volcano. Three of the tails rest curved on the ground, steps carved in to walk up to the platform. The other four tails are raised into coils, place set on them to hang giant drums from for the ceremony of Rising Fire, held annually.

On the other side of the gigantic Volcano's edge, singular Dragon statue, unlike the sandpainters yet very much like them, sits, her tail coiled around her like a snakes and her wings spread up into the heavens. To her chest, held in her claws, is a glowing stone crafted to look like tongues of flame, three times the size of a large Merdrac.

Away from the large statues there is only hardened lava rock, hot air vents, rivers of lava, and large gouges in the earth that look eeriely like claw marks at the very lip of the volcano.

If you are smart, you should not be here.
