Nimloth yawned and stretched in the sun. She wasn't hungry yet, so there was no urgency to her movements. Lifting her head to catch the scents the wind so obligingly brought her way, Nimloth had to smile. The oh-so-cordial male she'd met moons ago was nearby. Perhaps they could indulge in another pleasant conversation. Or perhaps another shared meal.
Tailing flicking through the air in amusement, Nimloth set off, following her nose. With luck, Odin would be willing to share some time with her. After all, finding such a convivial male these days was nearly unheard of!

It was lucky for the pretty female that Odin had actually bothered to catch himself something today. In fact, he had not come across any real comforting company in...a very long time. Thus, he figured he had to catch himself something.
Of course, dragging that carcass was never fun, not for him. He had managed to get it a somewhat ways away when he picked his head up, noticing that the pretty female he had met a while ago was here. Well, what perfect timing. He grabbed the carcass, dragging it up to the female as if it was a gift. He let it drop just short of her, offering her a bow with a smirk. "M'lady, I see that you have found me and my catch. Do you, per chance, wish to take some of it from me?"

Smiling, Nimloth bowed her head graciously to the male.
"I would be honored. That is a kindly offer," she replied demurely, moving to seat herself beside him. He still had manners she thought to herself, pleased.
"It's been long since our paths have crossed, Odin. How've you fared?"
Making herself comfortable, she waited politely for him to take the first bite. After all, she was the guest this time! Deep in the back of her mind she wished she'd thought to groom the dust from her coat before meeting him. But really, she hadn't known she would find him quite this quickly.

Odin grinned. He was pleased that he had come across Nimloth again, actually, as she seemed to have all the grace that a leopard should have, without acting like the queen of the world. It was...very respectable.
He nudged the carcass of the animal towards the leopard female, sneaking a glance at her eyes before he went for the shoulder area, always prefering it for no certain reason. He hoped that she would begin eating as well, or else he might feel his gut swell a bit, and he sure didn't want to look like a glutton!
This was also one of the few times that he wished his coat was not such a beatiful white, for cleaning the blood out of a white coat was difficult, and took quite some time. At least Nimloth was as well, so he was certain that she would feel nothing negative towards him about that. Being clean was definatela priority for him. He did want to make sure he was handsome for whomever he crossed paths with.

Bowing her head, Nimloth bit into a hind leg, tearing delicate chunks of meat from it. For a moment, she considered trying to converse while they ate, then just as quickly decided against it. It would be unbearably rude of her to demand they talk when every hunter knew time was of the essence if they wanted a full belly before the marauding scavengers began to appear.
Instead, she ate neatly and quickly, stopping just before she became too full. Then, sitting up, she gave a sinuous stretch and made herself comfortable as Odin ate. Talking could come later.

Odin took a bit longer to finish his portion of his meal, as he felt like savouring his catch. It wasn't often that the leopard was able to get such a good preybeast, but that was partially because he was lazy, and that laziness led to his still not being...up to par, compaired to some others.
After he had finished his part, he gave his maw a quick licking, just to make sure that he wasn't going to be dripping any bit, as that could grow embarassing. Instead he nodded to Nimloth, motioning her to follow him a bit away from the carcass before the harassing vultures would discover it. Fine, they could have the rest of it, he didn't mind.
"Aaah, it's such a pleasure to see you again, Nimloth," he purred, letting his words fit inbetween small bouts of cleaning. It was tough work trying to get a coat clean after such a filling meal.

Following after, Nimloth waited until they'd found a resting place to begin her own grooming. As she fastidiously cleaned her claws, she smiled over at the male.
"Indeed, my pleasure at meeting you again is great," she purred in reply. "You look fit and well."
For indeed, to her eyes, Odin seemed the very picture of health and the epitome of what a leopard should strive to be. Returning to her own cleaning, she worked to get the blood off her muzzle. That could hardly be harming, she thought wryly. Having one's nose and mouth stained red and dried blood matting one's fur.

Odin's ears flicked as he felt the praise wash over his body. He definately loved that. He wouldn't rightly admit that he was in as fit health as he could of been, but he definately felt much better since their last meeting. While he wasn't the biggest fan of living out here in the southern savannah, it was much more welcoming than any of the jungles he had stepped in.
"Well, you certainly seem much more flattering yourself, m'lady," he replied praising her back. She seemed just as sleek and lovely as he remembered, and they were both equally fastidious in their nature. Another lovely plus for the pretty leopard.
"It seems you have also been keeping yourself well, have you ventured anywhere since our last meeting?"

Shaking her head, she answered.
"I'm afraid I haven't traveled as far as I could have. The prey around here seems more plentiful and easier to catch than the places I had been before. And it seemed to me a shame that I should leave and let them multiply without check."
She smirked a little at that and flicked her tail restlessly. She greatly wanted to preen under his compliments, but sternly held her ego in check. It would not do to let her head swell until she became unbearable.
"What of you? Have you seen any new sights?"

Odin nodded at her comment, and even took a smirk to it. Well, certainly a good reason to stick by! He offered her a nod of approval, to go along with his smirk.
"With my hunt earlier, I certainly must agree that you have been doing a good job with that, because there are far too few good targets of prey to catch." He offered a small laugh, letting his tail swing around to flop by his side.
"I merely returned back to the jungle, to see if I could try to get used to the climate, but it's far too sticky and damp for my tastes. I will admit, I returned here, still curious to see if you were around. It was a pleasure to come across you again."

Lounging comfortably, Nimloth's heart gave a vague flutter that so charming a male should have returned to the grasslands to try and see her again. And then, she had to laugh at his perceptions of her hunting success.
"Truly, I am not so fine a hunter as to deplete the population that much," she chuckled. "I suspect others have had a paw in that."
His mention of the jungle cause her heart to contract. It had been far to long since she'd wandered the steamy, mist filed paths of her native jungle. That would have to be remedied in time. But for now, such an excusrion could wait.

Nimloth certainly kept herself humble. Perhaps that was her way of dancing around all of his compliments. A bit tricky, she was, but it seemed that their little connection between the two of them seemed to grow, if only by a tiny bit.
"M'lady, you are too humble! It is still within my memory that you were the one to feed me the last time we met. That just proves that you are quite the hunter. Or would you like to say I'm incorrect?" He flashed a smile.

Throwing her head back to laugh, Nimloth conceeded the point. But not before adding, "Ahh, but that catch was as much luck as skill, my friend."
Still, she let it go. She was a proficient hunter and knew it. There was no danger of overconfidence, so why ruin such a pleasant visit with arguing?

Odin smiled at the leopard, pleased to see that she certainly had a spark in her to keep herself humble and quite lady-like. He took the silent moment to give himself another grooming, cleaning off the rest of his paws, and trying again to clean his maw of the brownish colour of dried blood. It was easy to enjoy quiet moments like this, though it certainly wasn't as romantic as a night time setting. Hmph. He felt it was then that his best charms would come to pass, but he would just have to wait for that time.

Smiling to herself as she completed her grooming, Nimloth watched the sky with interest. The sun would be setting soon and given how hot and clear the daylight hours had been, the night time was sure to be breathtaking.
Finishing with her grooming, the white leopardess edged slightly closer to the male before lounging indolently beside him.
It was, with a certain amount of amusement at her own expense that she thought that starlight was a rather effective aid in romance. Really, she thought, I could use a little romance in my life. And with that thought, she settled herself in to wait.
